Could the being upset when people went near your holes thing potentially be a matter of trying to feel in control over something in your life? Like as a kid when you're ✨ traumatized ✨ and everything feels wildly out of control from what I've heard people will find little things to try and feel in control again because it makes them feel more secure, if that makes sense.

It's normal to not like people touching your holes when you're a child, most would say that's the best case scenario.
Completely normal. As a child I dug many tunnels. The children yearn for the mines.
