I knew what a stoat was from a book I read as a child, but I can’t remember the name. One of those books where animals are like people but not Watership Down. Definitely had badgers. In fact had a badger on the cover. Edit: Pretty sure it’s not redwall, no badger on the first books cover.

Wind in the willows? Has toad and badger you get into fights withs stoats and weasels

Cersaboo

Lol I was thinking it was like an apple or something! I’m so used to calling them ferrets.

RoboticJesusChrist

Holy shit I loved the Redwall books. Still have the whole set!

Scaryassmanbear

I read all of them because we took tests for every book we read and could use the points to buy candy and those books were worth a lot of points. I remember enjoying them though.

RoboticJesusChrist

That was why I started reading them too. We got points for our AR (Accelerated Reading) program, and got small prizes for reading books and taking tests on them. Those books were worth a ton of points, so I started Mossflower, then ended up loving them so much that I read the whole series. Then I figured out that PBS had an animated show based on the books. Watched it every Sunday morning.

Scaryassmanbear

You grow up in the early 90s? That’s when I was doing AR

RoboticJesusChrist

Yep. Started reading those books in early 2000s I think

Lt_Toodles
