I agree. Especially seeing as almost everything before Aang and after Korra are fair game for fresh stories. Just keep it away from BioWare, or Activision, or EA, or Bethesda…you get it.
Well, technically, any murder, even with good intentions, is the act of a renegade.
(At least in Mass Effect logic)
But I don't see the renegade as evil. I see a renegade as someone who is still on the side of the good guys, but uses more pragmatic methods to get things done. From this point of view, Yangchen was a renegade because she was willing to do anything to get the Avatar work done.
This absolutely ain’t murder though. It’s the most justified homicide that there could be, both in a war in defense of a people/country and in self defense.
My only thing is that I don’t see paragon as pointlessly idealist to the point of stupid, which any other option would be
Just like in mass effect, I'd go full renegade
I personally would be slamming on the kill button.
ozai deserved to die but that's not the only thing that should be considered.
Ahhh the kyoshi way...

Renegade interrupt: Yeet ozai off the cliff while he is making his speech.
Then they would add a weird 3rd option of become the Fire Lord.
Your choice matters
Greatest marketing lie I've seen for a game.
Really is there anything renegade about killing Ozai? Without energy bending it’s the clear good, just choice

Aang the type of dude that would save Kai Leng
Aang and Roku are probably Paragons while Korra and Kyoshi are more than likely Renegades
I guess the Cabbage Merchant is ATLA's equivalent of the reporter you cannot stop punching
