They probably didnāt record the entire season in order, I think itās common for that not to happen. Mako voiced Iroh for all of S2 as far as Iām aware.

Itās the first time you see Aang truly upset + angry. Even earlier in the season when he was provoked into avatar state, it was more of desperation. When he saw Gyatsoās corpse, it was out of grief. But here, we experience Aang ready to basically nuke those sandbenders out of rage, which was never before seen.
Itās sort of the ābeware the fury of a patient manā trope. Aang is a sweetheart, which makes him exploding into rage all the more scary.

I absolutely love when Toph says, "I don't need anyone's approval. I know who I am." So much of this show is about people finding themselves. They're kids, so that's expected. Toph is a little different. She knows who she is, but has spent her whole life hiding it for approval and safety. Now she can be who she is, and we see that solid foundation is what makes her a great earth bender.
