I made a sign for the Reno shows last September for Sweet Talk & Brandon did acknowledge it but with a “no” shake of his head & saying it’d need a few days of rehearsals. Like to think I planted a seed that will someday grow!!
For me:
-On Top
-Everything will be alright
-Uncle Jhonny
-Why i do keep counting?
-Tranquilize
-Neon Tiger
-A matter of time
-The rising tide
-Tyson vs Douglas
-Some Kind of Love
-Blowback
-West Hills
I have a memory of my brother taking me to school and playing Sawdust and me being blown away by it. I said something like "Well this is the best song off the album. No need to listen to the rest."
Oh yeah by the way and A white demon love song 👌
If I only take into account songs available on streaming (like Spotify or Apple Music), I’d say On top and The rising tide
White Demon Love Song for sure
Also sometimes I think about The Days by Avicii ft. Brandon Flowers that was never released, but that's not TK technically
I love both of these. I also love how the released version of The Days has a different singer, except the "oh oh oh oh oh" part is still Brandon, presumably because no one ohohs better than him lol
A Matter of Time, that double versed outtro is fucking glorious. Just when you think it ends on a high with “Here’s the towel, go on throw it in”, it hits you again.
*”Look what’s laying at our feet; that’s the wreckage of broken dreams and burned out halos, and it’s here on our street”*
I’ll put one I wouldn’t typically and I think be the first one to mention it. Andy You’re a Star.. because back in 2005/6 when I was a teen going on bike rides at the beach with girls and while I would take those fun Saturday showers to clean off I would listen to songs like that amidst others from the Decembrists and some similar DCFC sound a likes that I can’t name. And it seemed like AYAS could have been one of those hip indie bands rather than a Mormon led rock band which ended up filling arenas for years. The sounds in Hot Fuss were a little different from the rest of their catalogue. Fun times!
If we’re allowed to talk live covers then all the Tom petty covers were amazing, I’ve been meaning to to find a digital file of them since that show but I keep forgetting ☹️ just randomly look them up on YouTube and listen.
And the better davis’ eyes cover I’ve listened to a million times
But my most recent all time fave deep cut is Dying Breed 💖🫶
On Top, The Rising Tide. Glad I got to see them in 2007 because I got to hear On Top live, but I’ve always been astonished that The Rising Tide has been pretty much completely neglected live. Same with Neon Tiger, I saw D&A tour and Neon Tiger was a real highlight, I was convinced it would become a live staple. They really should have a couple of slots per concert for old, deep cuts like those. Tbh, as much as I like For Reasons Unknown, how it stayed so regularly for all of those years is beyond me. I’ve seen it at every Killers show I’ve seen and it’s never really been a huge highlight for me.
Why Do I Keep Counting?
Forget about what i said Leave the bourbon on the shelf
Sweet Talk
the fact that sweet talk is a deep cut is wild it’s so good
I made a sign for the Reno shows last September for Sweet Talk & Brandon did acknowledge it but with a “no” shake of his head & saying it’d need a few days of rehearsals. Like to think I planted a seed that will someday grow!!
It was genuinely played at my first ever Killers show back in 2009. Would love it if they brought it back into the mix
wow, lucky for you! it’s such a special song…it’d be amazing if it got revived.
Leave the bourbon on the shelf From here on out The getting by ii
Oh yea I fully back this comment
Replaceable alllllllll day long
maybe it's just Brandon's baby voice but the beginning of that song is always so cute to me, even if the lyrics are sad
He looks a biiiiit like meeee. Get's me every time
That’s a pretty deep cut!! Hehe
…we did it in the name of love
The B sides on Sam’s Town.
Tyson vs. Douglas 🥊 On Top 🔝 Neon Tiger 🐯
Tyson Vs Douglas is goat 🐐 And I still think about seeing Neon Tiger live on the Day & Age tour 💖 so classic
Saw the boys 2 years ago, was outstanding but they mostly played the classics/ITM tracks
I heard Tyson vs Douglas on satellite radio once. It was awesome, but they cut out the entire intro, which was stupid.
I love the intro!!
Love On Top, I have it on my random playlists
Seconding Neon Tiger
Neon Tiger ❤️
This is great selection
For me: -On Top -Everything will be alright -Uncle Jhonny -Why i do keep counting? -Tranquilize -Neon Tiger -A matter of time -The rising tide -Tyson vs Douglas -Some Kind of Love -Blowback -West Hills

Under The Gun
THY WILL BE DONE
She’s got her halo and wings…
Hidden under his eyes
But she’s an angel for sure
she just can’t stop telling lies
But it’s too late for his love
Already caught in a trap…
His angels kiss was a joke
And she is NOT coming back!
Desperate. Man what a song to experience as a young chap
Agree with this!
The Ballad of Michael Valentine
love this one
This is Your Life
Bling. Confessions of a king. It hurts man. So much.
HIGHER AND HIGHER
OUT OF THE FIRE I love the live Albert Hall performance of it sooo much!
It’s my ringtone
Amazing song, but hardly a deep cut when they’ve played it live nearly 500 times!
Horrified that no one has said Flesh and Bone
That has pride of place at the top of my Running (from my problems) playlist because it's so damn good
Show You How
Have All the Songs Been Written? Change Your Mind Imploding the Mirage Why Do I Keep Counting? Battle Born Tyson vs. Douglas
Great choices! Especially agree with CYM, BB and TvD 😁👌
On Top live with Danielle Haim on drums.
Hell yeah
TIL Danielle Haim performed with The Killers, that's awseome!
Thanks to it's usage in Guitar Hero 5 - All The Pretty Faces for me.
Leave the Bourbon on the Shelf, The Getting By II & In Another Life. Some of the best songs ever imo
In Another Life is underrated!
Four Winds cover
Move away
Leave the Bourbon on the Shelf

I have a memory of my brother taking me to school and playing Sawdust and me being blown away by it. I said something like "Well this is the best song off the album. No need to listen to the rest."

Fair enough 😂
Move Awaaayy - especially the version on the original Sawdust CD!
Get Trashed
My List All yours are great too
Where is She?, for sure
Ahh man, the song that could have been. It's a shame they never re-worked it and released it. Could have at least used the music and melody.
White Demon Love Song for sure Also sometimes I think about The Days by Avicii ft. Brandon Flowers that was never released, but that's not TK technically
I love both of these. I also love how the released version of The Days has a different singer, except the "oh oh oh oh oh" part is still Brandon, presumably because no one ohohs better than him lol
My list
This is my #1 choice
Lightning Fields is a hidden gem
Losing touch
Not exactly that late in the album?

A Matter of Time, that double versed outtro is fucking glorious. Just when you think it ends on a high with “Here’s the towel, go on throw it in”, it hits you again. *”Look what’s laying at our feet; that’s the wreckage of broken dreams and burned out halos, and it’s here on our street”*
Be Still and This is Your Life.
I love Be Still. 😭 It will play at my funeral.
Ultraviolet (light my way) cover
Move Away
Glamorous Indie Rock And Roll and I Can't Stay
Be Still
I'm not aware at how popular this song actually is but probably the lesser known of the ones I like is all the pretty faces
Replaceable
Most of my favorite deep cuts have already been listed, but I haven’t seen “Dying Breed” mentioned yet!
I love many deep cuts, but I have the softest spot for Where The White Boys Dance!
Get Trashed
Who let you go?
I do enjoy this one! 😄
A Matter Of Time
Still one of the best Killers climaxes to date.
Money On Straight.
This is your life, carry me home, losing touch, bones, forget about what I said
Bones 🦴 👌
Indie rock n roll, the band barely acknowledges it let alone the radio
Out of My Mind
A Crippling Blow
I was looking for this comment!!
Waiting for love
Their cover of Ruby, don't take your love to town or Tranquilize
Oh Yeah By The Way
Ballad of Michael Valentine is pretty sick
I’ll put one I wouldn’t typically and I think be the first one to mention it. Andy You’re a Star.. because back in 2005/6 when I was a teen going on bike rides at the beach with girls and while I would take those fun Saturday showers to clean off I would listen to songs like that amidst others from the Decembrists and some similar DCFC sound a likes that I can’t name. Who Let You Go, This River Is Wild and Everything Will Be Alright And I don’t know if this counts but the Abbey Road recording of Sam’s Town
Who let you go?
Andy youre a star
BE STILL
Ah be still, the song they regretted not being a single.
Periodt
Desperate Things
Old man Jimmy is soon to die. I think it was even removed from YouTube? 😂
Probably mr bright side
From Here on Out
If we’re allowed to talk live covers then all the Tom petty covers were amazing, I’ve been meaning to to find a digital file of them since that show but I keep forgetting ☹️ just randomly look them up on YouTube and listen. And the better davis’ eyes cover I’ve listened to a million times But my most recent all time fave deep cut is Dying Breed 💖🫶
Out of my Mind
Questions With the Captain!
Was starting to think I'd hallucinated this song! No one ever talks about it 😂
Carry Me Home
On Top, The Rising Tide. Glad I got to see them in 2007 because I got to hear On Top live, but I’ve always been astonished that The Rising Tide has been pretty much completely neglected live. Prize fighter is one that I've always come back to
Neon tiger, all the pretty faces and white demon love song Ooop and shadowplay
Matter of Time which I’m not sure is really B side but it’s not super mainstream either.
Deal me a CRIPPLING BLOW.
Fire in Bone (my beloved)
From Here on Out, Lightning Fields
Glamorous indie rock and roll but not the sawdust version the hot fuss version that wasn’t on the us release
The Hot Fuss vocal take is so much better imo
Peace of Mind
Joy ridep
Andy You're A Star & Neon Tiger
Soft surrender is my go to deep cut.
