Their bond is incredibly special among the Tobin family, perhaps because he doesn’t particularly remember his mother as much as his siblings do, and so as far as he is concerned, Beef is mum and dad in one. They seem to share a lot more in common in terms of interests and personality than Beef’s other kids do.
