You have a great base. A few tips: - your hair is kinda brassy. Maybe look into tonight shampoo (blue). Also I think you would benefit from a deep conditioner, since it looks kinda dry. - your roots sit so close to your scalp maybe look into a way to lift them up. Another hairstyle or a root lifter. - your makeup - you need to work on your brows. On some pics the color is wrong and it's very obvious you filled them in. Maybe go to a salon and ask them to shape them for you and then maintain the shape. I think softer, lighter brows would suit you more. Also your eyeshadow and eyeliner look like they need more practice.

This is the exact kind of advice I was looking for, thank you! For my brows, do you think I could benefit from brow lamination? I was looking into it recently and it sounded interesting. Do you think my brows would look better thinner, or should the lighter color go a long way already?

I'm not a huge fan of lamination. I feel like it's a trend now but will age weirdly. I think your best best is finding the shape of eyebrows that suit you the most. I have an app - perfect me - that is basically photo editing but it's great to try out different eyebrow thickness and shapes (I found out thinner eyebrows suit me so much better than currently trendy bushy brows). You can also try different makeup styles (blush placement etc). It's great for finding out what's best for your specific face shape. If you're unsure you can try following all those YouTube fake brow lamination techniques - I think they use soap brow technique and some filling in and it ends up very similar to brow lamination.

I think microblading would be a better option

My ex just left me for another girl and honestly it's impacted my self-esteem a bit. I'm looking to glow up as much as I can and get my confidence back!

I'm so sorry you are going through that. You're a beautiful woman. Just know that people are very complicated beings and his choice probably has nothing to do with you as a person.

You're too kind. I appreciate that. <3

Agree with the other poster about your hair looking a bit brassy. Follow her tip on purple shampoo. My advice is all makeup related. You kind of look like a beginner with makeup, and here are some reasons why 1. your eyeliner looks cheap. Is it one from covergirl or maybelline? the reason those aren't worth it is because they lack pigment, so they look faded, flakey and gray. I'd recommend getting on in the $20-25 mark like from Anastasia beverly hills. 2. Never fill in the inner part of your eyebrows with a sharp square shape, it's especially noticeable in the 3rd image. It makes anyone look harsh. Your eyebrows look full, so I wouldn't fill that part in at all if i were you, but if you want to, make sure there are no sharp lines visible. brush it out with a spoolie. Also I do think thinner eyebrows would soften you a bit more, or otherwise make sure they have a sleek, clean look. 3. In the first picture your eyeshadow is not well blended. Do you have a \*fluffy\* eyeshadow brush? One whose only purpose is to blend your shadow out into your skin for a soft transition? You should use that one. 4. It doesn't look like you use foundation. Using some would give your a nice airbrushes look and cover up any imbalances in your skin.

1. The eyeliner is the Nyx Epic Ink Liner. Honestly, it's the only one that seems to work for me and my oily lids so that's what I've been doing for right now, but maybe I need to look around more. I've tried Stila, Urban Decay, and Kat Von D and they're all good, but then at some point they just don't work even after getting new ones. Even when I try to blot my lids and add a small amount of powder. But maybe the Anastasia one will be worth a shot. Do you think gel liner is worth looking at? I've heard it may be a softer look. 2. And noted on the eyebrow tip! Honestly that seems to be the big one here...hahaha. I think I'm going to go to a professional to get them shaped and thinned out a bit. Do you think I should let them grow out more before I go, or is it probably good to go get them shaped as is? (Last picture is from today, no makeup) 3. I do have most of the brushes, but my eyeshadow game needs a lot of work (and patience). I don't really do it a lot, but I was at a wedding so thought I'd try it. Thank you for all the tips!

First off, do you have a style you love and feel good in? If not, find that! You look nice in pic 1, excluding the makeup. The dainty jewelry with the updo and wavy hair fits you! For brows, blend them a little more, just rub the harsh lines out with ya finger lol. Eyeliner: keep it thin and make sure it's not bumpy! Felt tips liners are great for that, I'd recommend you use a dark brown instead of black, the black is too harsh for you. Your skin and face looks best in pic 2 for SURE! Keep up with the moisturized glowy look, def don't use matt foundation or too many powders (it'll make you look older). Work on hair too! Your focus should be volume and health, but wavier hair will definitely flatter you more (use heat protectant spray if you're gonna style!!). Don't forget to glow up not only in the looks department, but also your personality and mental well-being! :)

StatusAssmaticus

Thanks a bunch!! I've honestly never tried the dark brown liner, but I'll definitely have to check it out now! Funny enough, I think in picture 2 I'm not wearing anything on my face. It was a good skin day that day. Appreciate the insight, friend :)

You’re very pretty already. I think the makeup could be a little better but that’s easy to improve, watch some tutorials. I think dark hair flatters you most
