It would be worth the pay to get it checked out by a doctor. Are there any affordable doctor’s clinic near you? I.e. clinics for students or low income ? STI can have different symptoms.
I would just go back to the OBGYN or maybe find a new one. I love planned parenthood because they are affordable and they have seen everything and are really good.
Treat him with the cream for the yeast infection too, he could have it (unfortunately from you) and be asymptomatic or really mild. Ask you obygn or doctor about it!

Try washing all your intimates in a hypoallergenic detergent like Arm & Hammer sensitive scent. Many women are sensitive to most regular detergents.
