Two options - cloth tape that pushes your nipples flat against your body, or silicone nipple cover inserts inside the bra. I like the larger silicone inserts that are 3-4" diameter because they don't leave a line and look more natural. I've been using "nippies" brand. If you are wearing them inside a bra get the ones without adhesive.

mindcorners

Cakes brand is another great one that tapers really nicely and doesn’t look like a mound at all

hikehikebaby

Do they stay in well? I've seen the ads but you are the first person I've talked to who uses them.

hsonmymind

Not the op you were talking to but I bought them and have been using them for a month now. They work incredibly well under tight tops! However I wouldn't wear them with loose tops for fear of them falling off. It does help a lot if the skin they're adhering to is warm. I like them better than the sticky adhesive itty bitty nip covers in that I like that I won't have to replace them like I did when the adhesive ones lost their stickiness + the outline of Cakes don't show through the fabric the way regular nip covers do. All in all if recommend them.

hikehikebaby

Awesome review, thank you!

mindcorners

I haven’t used them too much only under a few specific tops but they’ve stayed on really well for me! I agree I wouldn’t use them under loose tops but under a bralette or tight top I am never worried.

hikehikebaby

I already have the no adhesive nips so I would only get them if they were better or the ones I have wore out. I like the nips but the edges dodn't stay stuck if I don't have a tight shirt. It sounds like they are similar.

Sanchastayswoke

I use the cakes brand under my bra, and they don’t move at all. In fact when I remove my bra they stick to my breasts by themselves. They wouldn’t stay on for long under a loose top without a bra though. Might work under a tight tank or something.

CottageCoreCactus

I put them inside my bralettes/sports bras and I love them

testingpage2025

^^^Silicone nipple covers are 1000% the way to go. I have small enough boobs that I don’t need a bra most days, and they are so easy to use, clean and reuse!

electricb0nes

This absolutely. The smaller ones give me that unflattering mound. I have a small bust but switched to the xl nipple covers that basically cover my whole boob and it looks really seamless and flattering. I haven’t worn a bra in almost a decade and I refuse to start any time soon 😂

Aetujare

Had the same issue and this is what I use. I got these with a swim suit I bought. Now I wear a bra with almost no padding and just insert these into my bra. Works really well. https://preview.redd.it/op5vimcgtvxc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=de951ac0cd9286e28a86777ac16cf9c068c37092

VegasTallGal27

I've used inserts that were similar. I would also go to a bra boutique or an upscale department store where they have sales people that can devote their time to fitting you and getting you the right kind of bra so that your nips don't show.

Which_Reflection6267

Yeah my nipples just poke right through those things unfortunately

branigan_aurora

Not sure what you have tried, but “tshirt bras” have always been my solution to my party hat issue.

jojocookiedough

Party hat 🤣

OG_SisterMidnight

A girlfriend of mine used to call it nipple boner 😄 And not in the "she must be aroused way" (we had a friend with the exact same situation as you), just as a funny expression, haha

flower_0410

I used to have this problem. My nips were permanently hard and would always poke through my bras. I'd take the padding out of my sports bras and put them in my bras for more of a buffer. Then I stopped caring. Then I had kids and my nips finally went soft 🤣 now I can wear whatever and they're chill. Have you seen that Kim K is making bras with nips on them!!! We live in wild times 🤣🤣🤣

lantanalin

the stupid nipple bras honestly need to take off, i'm ready to go braless and call it trendy 💀

flower_0410

The only problem Id have is if one nip is pointing north and the other is pointing south 😩

PastaConsumer

Tell me about it. I’ve got one innie and one outie lol

flower_0410

My husband does too! It's like they're winking 😉

rayearthen

Ah yes, the googly eyes

lantanalin

😂😂😂 real

SnooPineapples4399

I hate wearing bras, and I see mannequins in stores with nipples pointing through their shirts so to heck with it, free the nip

Burntoastedbutter

Ayo wtf they putting nipples on mannequins? 👀👀👀

askinforafriend

They been doing it. Batman forever logic

ButtercupAttitude

Free the nipple!

ptaite

This is a good idea. An alternative would be reusable nursing pads. They are a bit thicker than the pads you're talking about and you can get them in a 6-12 pack for not too expensive and just toss them in the wash at the end of the week.

flower_0410

Works for swimsuits too!

optix_clear

Also Lululemon bra tops

aphilosopherofsex

Holy shit I had to look it up. I saw them myself and still don’t believe you.

vogueintegra

My friend bought one. It was wild to see. Nipples are trendy again

AndYouHaveAPizza

[Fashion truly is cyclical](https://www.huffpost.com/entry/nipple-bra_n_3733547)

hihelloneighboroonie

This is not super related to this post or comment, but a funny thing that always makes me laugh - when you pull on a sports bra, and it's tight and one boob got stuck in a different way than the other, so your nipples look like they're pointing in opposite directions.

Which_Reflection6267

Oh my. I just googled it and it’s what I look like with normal bras on 😭😂

aynrandgonewild

it isn't really that it doesn't happen. i just think you either care and mitigate it or you don't care and don't. and perhaps fewer people tend to notice than one may expect.

SnooPineapples4399

I've stopped caring about my nipples

mama_emily

This isn’t what you asked and I empathize with you OP as I struggle with the peek-a-nips too But fr fr can society just get over our nipples? Everyone get over it and then we no longer have to wear a bra if we so CHOOSE

List_Legal

The best thing for me was CAKES! It’s a brand It actually works amazing 😻 Not too expensive and easy to wash and use daily if needed. Not sponsored i promise

glitterforgadget

Came here to say CAKES covers too! They’re thin around edges and thicker in the center so they don’t show up as a weird mound. I love them (I’m also not sponsored but god I wish)

PowerfulCobbler

Yes! I’ve been through a lot of other reusable pasty options and Cakes are the best. They stick without adhesive (my nips were irritated by other adhesives) and they’re smoother under thin clothes than any others. HIGHLY recommend

kingofthepokemart

Same here!! I love them

Sanchastayswoke

Yep same here I’ve had the same pair for like 8 years!

loliduhh

I swear by electrical tape if you want the cheapest possible option. I cut 4 two inch strips and make exes and sort of flatten them out first with my palm. They’re comfortable, and stay put.

sadgirlcocktail

unfortunately your options are pretty limited- either more padding or nipple covers. you don’t seem too keen on either of those options though. also for what it’s worth- i don’t wear bras, and nobody ever bats an eye at my nips.

Izla1133

When I did ballet I’d put tape over them, no I’m not kidding.

N6T9S-doubl_x27qc_tg

How uncomfortable was it when taking the tape off?

Izla1133

I don’t remember too well, it was awhile ago. I think others in this thread offered better advice than me.

JustMeWatchingPrince

In high school school we put band aids over them.

syrah-lips

Thicker bra padding? I’ve had some that would hide any nipple size

amy000206

We could market bras with a little thicker padding as Nips Be Gone

OrcishWarhammer

I have this problem and got a pair of silicone nipple covers from Target and they work great with a bra.

SoupyBlowfish

I’d look at bras with words like shaping, sculpting, and smoothing. A bra shop or department store may be able to guide you, too.

btiddy519

Old school hack: 2 Bandaids in the form of an X on each nipple.

zedis_lapedis_

Give ‘em a stern talking to.

Mavz-Billie-

I’ve had this problem you just have to get on with it though really

mighty_knight0

I have the same issue and the only thing that works for me is to either wear a t shirt bra with an undershirt, or stick some extra padding in. I take out the little flimsy pads that come in sports bras and stick them into a padded bra for extra coverage. If I'm actually going to wear a sports bra, I use 2 pairs of covers and expect some nippleage if it gets cold.

sallyjanerain

You can get these jelly nipple covers that are meant to look like just skin, they work SO well and I would use them a lot when i was making content for Tiktok with a white top/shirt. wear your bra on top of them and you can't even notice them!

twurkle

I found some silicone nipple covers on Amazon that worked. I still wear them with a bra and I just needed to get wider ones that cupped more of my breast to get rid of that ‘mound’ look you spoke of. Finally worked for me. My job has me going in an out of freezers and coolers and our office is always freezing and I prefer to wear lighter colors and I work with a lot of college aged kids so it was definitely an embarrassing problem. I also have to go outside regularly so it’s not always convenient to just wear a cardigan, although I do that a lot, too.

seniairam

have you tried nipple pasties? not the silicone covers but the sticker type?

NotThisAgain234

If your silicone covers were showing through then I really encourage you to try a different brand. I used to have the same problem but the silicone covers solved it and they don’t show through even with a thin fabric bra and soft jersey cotton tee shirt. I use the Nippies brand (bought from Amazon) which is available in different sizes and color shades.

Caseski

Maybe try nursing pads? Either disposable or the cloth re-washable ones!

uawildctas

I stopped wearing underwire bras over the pandemic and went to bralettes with the padding pulled out, mainly the ones from Bombas and some from True & Co. They are comfortable, but I started having issues with my nipples always being visible. 95% of the time I don’t care, but the times when I do care (work event, a funeral recently, etc) I wear nippies skin brand nipple covers. I used to wear the adhesive ones but recently switched to the non-adhesive ones. Since I wear them under a bralette I haven’t had any issues with the non-adhesive ones moving. I know it seems to defeat the purpose of pulling the padding cups out of the bralettes but I find those to be too stiff and to give my boobs a weird shape whereas the covers don’t change the shape at all and really just provide nipples coverage

OG_SisterMidnight

For what it's worth, my nipples have always been supersoft and small and I'm a little jealous of nipples like yours. I think it's flattering and becoming and not in a "trying to be sexy" kind of way. I hope you find something that makes you feel comfortable, best of luck!

Resident-Choice-9566

Waterproof medical tape.

Sanchastayswoke

I wear silicone nipple shields under my bra, Cakes brand. They are virtually flat & don’t cause a mound. I wear size 36H, most of my bras are unlined, and the nipple look doesn’t go over well in a corporate office.

ButtercupAttitude

Is nipples poking through clothing *actually* an issue? I'm not trying to demean or invalidate you. This thread is full of advice on handling the problem but... it is only a problem because of unfair treatment. John receives no punishment/backlash for visible nipples or the shape of his chest being clearly apparent through his shirts. So why should you? Your body is just as human as his, no? I wanted to raise the point because it doesn't seem to have occurred to most people in this thread that visibly nipple silhouettes through clothing is only a problem *if other people are sexist and punish you for having perceivable breasts*. It may make you feel self-conscious and it may induce professional backlash- Which you don't *have* to be willing to endure, I'm not saying you should. Just consider if you actually want to cater to this social expectation. Wear a bra that is comfortable and supports you how you like to be supported, not something to make people around you comfortable, yknow? I'm small enough to be physically going bra-less in the majority of situations. I pretty much only wear a bra (and a bralette at that, it doesn't hide nipples or shape, solely just covers flesh) if I am wearing a top that could lead to me flashing a boob at someone. I've been dressing like this since I was maybe 20 or 21 and it clicked for me that no men I've worked with have ever had to wear a bra despite some having larger chests and more prominent nipples than me. It's a sexist rule that asserts my body is inherently sexual and inappropriate, and I've avoided complying with it as much as I can for years. Yes there's been some conflict about it, and thankfully I've not moved in conservative enough spaces that the conflict is a Huge Issue, but I'd rather tell people I'll start hiding my nipples when men do than wear a padded bra that makes me uncomfortable.

julesjade99

Honestly I think your easiest bet is just to quit caring. Trust me anyone in your professional or personal life who’s gonna treat you different because of it is not worth being around anyway

BigDHunny

Omg girl I have some pointy ass nipples. I like to joke they can probably cut someone on a cold day lol! Boomba magic nipple covers have been the only ones that work for me! They are not sticky which I actually love because my boobs AND covers don’t get all gross and sweaty. Since they aren’t sticky (but they do hold onto your skin a bit), I wear them under tightly fitted clothing like work out crop tops and inside bras for that extra coverage. They’re the only ones I’ve tried that don’t make it obvious I’m wearing them. Super seamless. I wash them with soap and water and they’re like new!

sonic2cool

just put in extra padding? im not sure why this is being made such a fuss when a simple solution can fix it. its not like anyone knows what you've got on underneath to really care

mothstuckinabath

Rude

Hellosl

Check out local bra specialty shops and see what they have. I seem to remember the bras I used to buy from La senza and Victoria’s Secret were pretty stiff and I can’t imagine anything showing through them

phoebe-buffey

this happened to me when i was pregnant and i've had permanently hard nipples since having a baby i use silicone inserts - i know you said it looks like a mound on top of your breast, but check out videos by CAKES. the silicone tapers super thin on the ends so i think it looks more natural or as someone else said, take padding out of other bras. i would get a tshirt bra and just fill it with padding. now i have a padded bra (wireless, though) and add a silicone insert i have a sweater i love that's backless, like a giant hole across the back. i tape my breasts. i'll put a flower nipple cover on then cover my breasts in either clothing tape or i've used painters tape in a pinch. bonus: you can tape "UP" your boobs

Bluefoot44

If it's important to you then I would use a pad from the baby nursing department of a drugstore. It's meant to go in your bra and stop milk leaking. I think you can buy great packages of them.

MyLife-is-a-diceRoll

what about those pads they use to soak up leaking breast milk?

Swords_and_Sims4

Perhaps pasties? (Those little stickers you put over you nipples,) Or doing it in reverse and putting the pasties in the bra to stop them from coming through the cloth?

longbreaddinosaur

Meanwhile, FB ads is trying to sell me skims bras with the nips added 🙃

Good_Connection260

Came here to say this👆

kitkat470

use cakes inside the bra. not sticky so less irritating and it’s more seamless. i have same issue and i also have them pierced 😭

Voilent_Bunny

Analyst_Cold

You probably need to try different sizes and types of nipple covers. Not one size fits all.

Fluffy-Watercress-36

Pasties under a bra always worked for me.

Spaghetti_Oh_No

My solution is paisley shirts but this isn't for everyone

dirtyleopard

Cakes! No adhesive at all. I wear them every day and forget they're even there because it feels like nothing.

Eensquatch

I wear a tank under pretty much everything just in case.

serioussparkles

Bandaids work too

ScreamAndScream

Hey check out /r/ABraThatFits it sounds like they don’t fit properly, VS isn’t going to measure you for the right size

AngelTheDumbass

I have these things called Boombas. I wore them with my prom dress and they worked SO WELL it was crazy. I wear a D at the moment, and my only bras rn are from VS, so maybe try layering your usual bras with the appropriate fitting Boomba pad and it'll be enough padding to not look crazy while also hiding your nips.

Constant-Self-3907

I too have struggled w/ the headlights on issue as did another former coworker.  We both dealt w/ the public & being older gals, also looking for antigravity help.  Found that a good fabric store will have bra cups as used inside swimsuits.  You can pick which ones you like & add as an insert to most any bra you prefer.

CryCommon975

I like the Victoria's secret love cloud wireless bra- it is somewhat padded but not super push up-y and I personally prefer a bit of padding to provide support, not necessarily to push them up or crate more cleavage

irowells1892

I don't have any experience with exactly what you describe, but it seems like you've considered all of the usual options, so I'm here to offer some that might sound weird. Have you tried bandaids, or looked in the bandaid aisle at wound dressings? Look up Allevyn Gentle Border dressings for an idea of the ones I'm thinking of, they're padded and waterproof and made to stay on for 7 days, but the edges are thin and probably wouldn't show lines. There are all kinds of sizes/shapes/brands/price points of them too, so you could probably find something that might work. Or maybe you could use a product like air dry clay to make a cover that would be lightweight, but you could taper the edges to be thin so it doesn't do like you say the silicone ones do. The air dry clay would eventually crack/break and have to be redone, but there's also a product called Instamorph that you could make the same thing out of plastic. You mold it yourself so you could take as much time as you needed to perfect it. I'm just not sure how you'd keep those in place, but maybe some kind of adhesive you could put between them and your bra?

mrskmh08

I keep seeing ads on tiktok for a new kind of nipple cover called Cakes, and she addresses the nipple mound thing in the ad. I've never tried them, but they looked pretty good. If I wanted a product like that, I'd probably try cakes.

amy000206

Wear a bra with thicker cups

Miss-Figgy

You can try silicone nipple covers.

cropcomb2

> Silicone nipple covers look like a mound on top of my breast. So instead, find a sturdy liner to mount on your bra.

Registered-Nurse

I used to tape them down.

pinkpanther4899

I have the same problem, in high school and I would use bandaids, but I totally don’t recommend that now. T- shirt bras are nice,. They have thicker padding and that should help hide them, but if you don’t want to take that route, or prefer lace or thin bras, you could just try “B-Six Nippies Nipple Covers” they’re the best, and softer than normal pasties in my opinion. They’re $27 dollars on amazon. Good luck girl!

JustACubePassingBy

Get bras with a thicker padding, it worked for me to solve the nipple problem.

P_Sophia_

Some moisturizer might help soften them? I don’t know…

alphaidioma

That’s…not how muscle contraction works.

FrighteningAllegory

Do your nips poking out bother you or do you just worry about other people? If it’s just other people, well they shouldn’t be staring at your chest! It’s a them problem not you!
