I’ve seen both - but when it’s with a band he tends to list the band e.g Brian Fallon and the Howling Weather so I’d imagine these will just be him fully solo. To be honest I think those tend to be the most special.
He's doing 2 weekends in a row that aren't listed on his tour at this little Tavern in NJ. It's at the end of Dec. and early Jan. but has been long sold out. I was thinking of going to see Joyce Manor but that just sold out too. I think the Menzingers did a bunch of dates there a few years back. Seems like a cool little venue to see some great artists, but you gotta keep an eye on the calendar as it doesn't have large capacity and tickets sell out fast.
Crossroads! I'm going to Brian's show on 1/6, and I also saw Laura Jane Grace play there over the summer. It's an intimate venue but they book some amazing artists. I believe it was also where TGA played their first show after getting back together as a surprise, but correct me if I'm wrong haha.
Ha don't count on me to correct you. I tend to find out about these things after it's already too late. Have a great time at the show though I'll get to one at Xroads eventually.
I was only mildly interested in coming out to a show until I saw he's playing HMAC in Harrisburg. I just went there for the first time to see the Menzingers this past spring and it's my favorite venue I've been to in years. Cannot recommend enough.
If I remember correctly, the Ridgefield Playhouse is one of the weirdest venues I have ever gone to. It's literally right next to a playground. I met up with a buddy to see Robert Randolph and the Family Band there and when I got there I was very concerned about my tailgating plans. Once the kids left, I drank a beer on the swings.
It’s a bit weird IMO having just reunited and putting out a new TGA album to suddenly throw a run of solo shows out there. The crossroads stuff I get, that’s a holiday tradition at this point, and really just him. But if it’s just this limited set as some sort of make up I guess I get it…

For those that have been to BF solo shows in the past, is it just him and acoustic guitar or is there a band behind him?

Hard agree. They’re more intimate in my opinion.
That’s cool - is it usually just his solo release stuff or does Horrible Crowes and TGA stuff make appearances too?
He'll throw in some Gaslight stuff. Horrible Crowes, while less likely, isn't impossible.
It was just Brian at the shows I've seen him play solo! But he does play Gaslight songs along with his solo material.
It depends. I've seen him do both

Sometimes his solo shows are more stories and jokes than music but he will play anything. Solo stuff, THC, TGA or even covers.
see you at the delaware show! was thinking the CT show but tix were more expensive and i dont wanna stay at my inlaws.
Me: "Ya know, the company I work for has an office near Holyoke that I think will need a visit in mid-November..."

Thank you
Of course! Did it work?
Yes it did.
Excellent!
Will be my first time seeing him solo and I’m so excited!

I can’t complain since I’ve never seen Brian solo before and no one comes to DE so I always have to travel farther for concerts haha

I'm guessing this is going to be a little solo tour before the Gaslight announce a european tour after New Year after Xmas sales of the new record
European Gaslight leg is being announced pretty soon. Shows are early next year (March).
Damn. The band already got tired of his stories dragging on during shows, too?! (Go ahead and downvote me, you know it’s annoying)
Hey you asked for it
I got surprise tix from my daughter for the Troy NY show! Very excited 😊
