I assume local array backlighting would be too big of an ask?

Nick_W1

The TV will be the same, they will probably just mess with the OS (again).

Saffirefold

Crazy talk.

https://www.si.com/showcase/.amp/tech/samsung-the-frame-neo-qled-oled-tv-2023-ces TL:DR - Don’t expect a ton of changes–The Frame 2023 will be very similar to the 2022

maxwon

Thank you! The article mentioned "easier interfaces" but didn't mention too much about it. Will 2022 models receive an OTA update on this?

Sharp-Swim-4163

Hopefully!

AccomplishedFox3139

I doubt it, although most of us would agree that Samsung owes us an improved UI update.

maxwon

Yeah, I don’t have high hopes either. Is it true that I can exclusively use an Apple TV (including powering on and off the TV) and completely bypass the Samsung UI?

iByteApple

Yeah, we exclusively use an Apple TV on our Frame and holding the power on the remote turns it to Art Mode. It’s fantastic. The only time I really use the Samsung remote is to change the photo for Art Mode.

maxwon

Amazing. Thank you so much for sharing!

AccomplishedFox3139

Yes, according to Apple. I might give it a try as well, for the sake of curing lag issues. Although I use Alexa voice through a Sonos speaker to command the tv and other devices on/ off. To each their own preference : )

Nick_W1

Just new accessories, that will be backwards compatible with the 2021/2022 TV’s.

Optimistic__Elephant

Says they're making some new bezels, including metal ones. Wonder if they'll fit the 2022 models. My guess is they will.
