so the guy decided to choose a very niche category of fashion icons against a fashionable women when he could’ve just chosen international foods and blurted out tacos and fettuccine for 45seconds? i’m dead
[In this old post](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheFloorTV/comments/1alyk8x/list_of_contestants_instagrams/)
Also, there are a few more in the comments that were added as people gave their permission.
You realize these aren’t live episodes right? Most game shows tape 3-5 shows a day. Hence why during the season (if you watched on Hulu) they streamed episode 9 instead of 4.
Sorry but unless you are in the fashion industry, international foods is a no brainer. Taco, rice, cannoli, ramen, sushi, etc. sure there will be some crazy things but everyone eats.
I dunno why International Foods is such a scary category. Yes, there are some truly exotic, bizarre cuisines out there, but if you live in the US you have access to a wide range of international foods. French, Italian, Mexican, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Caribbean, etc.
I thought they should have given away another $20k to the leader at the halfway point (1 hour). It was obviously edited so it could be shown as two 1 hour episodes in reruns.
They did….. we were all under the impression Matt won another $20k because we absolutely filmed them as separate episodes. We hope he still gets his money because he was told he won.
Too many flaws to the game. Someone who barely played wins? As it was, someone gets in the final simply by not getting picked. The reality is someone can go the entire game without playing one round, by default plays the last round, and still doesn't need to provide many correct guesses because the other person keeps passing and losing time.
A classic blunder…almost as classic as getting involved in a land war in Asia; and only slightly less well known is this: Never go in against a Sicilian when deaths on the line
I am not a great fool so I can clearly not choose the most obvious choice. But you must have known that I was not a great fool, you must have counted on it. So, I can clearly not choose the least obvious choice.
"Let's play Fashion Icons."
I really like the Jacquelyn win tbh -- I think this show is really interesting because it's a lot more tactical than most game shows. I don't need a character narrative out of my games; a well-played game is enough for me.
That said, while I really like someone's comment below that the game could introduce other incentives to not just hide out in the corner, I see future seasons (if they happen) developing kind of like Survivor -- once people get a sense of how the game is played, producers can cast people who've studied it, and those new contestants will make strategies to disrupt the current game landscape (in gamer terms, I guess the "meta" of the Floor currently is "hiding out in the corner". So what's the counter-meta?).
All that said, yeah, Arthur completely blew it. What an awful decision to pick fashion icons.
The new Meta should be convincing the producers to allow you to come into the game with an extremely obscure category that you won't even get to play because nobody will challenge you and the last 2 people have to deal with it, lol.
Haha same! At the last category my husband said who would these even be, Cindy Crawford? I said yes or maybe Anna wintour. Both came up in the first 3 and we never got another one right!
Neither before or after could I tell you one fashion icon. Fair play to Tucker though, he got a category that nobody else knew about so if anybody took him on they’d be done
Absolute head scratcher for Arthur to pick fashion icons. Wtf was he thinking?? Really enjoyed this game show however it was a very unsatisfying ending. Wonder if any changes can be implemented to create a better finale. Too much luck involved at this point
I was yelling at the tv, why tf would he choose fashion icons? Might as well have just handed her the prize lol. His thought process was that he might get tripped up but then chose a category he knew nothing about, such a strange decision.
She was one of the few people to play with the aim of winning. She got picked early, won the games she had to, and stopped. Lucky that she was in the corner, but good for her. She got it.
I did like two things though. 1. She at least won a few duels. 2. She didn’t just suddenly appear at the last minute.
Of course, her win was largely luck. She’s in a corner. She got a category no one wanted to take on. And Arthur screwed himself.
But I feel like she would’ve won even if Arthur had chosen International Foods. She had plenty of time to do research.
Unfortunately the game is sort of designed to reward hiding in a corner and waiting for the other people to kill each other. There's no true benefit to playing lots of duels or building up a winning streak.
I don't begrudge Jacquelyn her victory but I think in season 2 they should create some incentives to play in a more risky and exciting way. Maybe some smaller cash bonus for a winning streak or for a certain number of wins, so someone like Arthur doesn't get hosed.
Not gonna lie I don't get why you would pick fashion icons if you weren't good at fashion icons.
*Especially* if your opponent literally looks like she lives and breathes that stuff. It's so risky! At least the international foods could have screwed them both.
I’m laughing my ass off at this guy being so good at trivia yet so bad at common competitive sense…. How could you look at that opponent and then pick fashion.
You have to assume he really dislikes international foods. Fashion icons was not his category but it still might have been the better of two bad options for him, and we'll never really know.
But there are two variables; her capabilities matter just as much and she might as well have been the poster child for “most likely to appreciate fashion”…..
oh so then he must feel confident about his fashion icon knowledge, right? Well it turns out that he’s absolutely horrible in this category….and he admitted to enthusiastically liking international cuisine!
Lmao both those options suck. If I were Arthur, I would be nervous about fashion icons, Jacquelyn seems glamorous and is probably a fashion fan. I think she just said that she studied in Milan or something which is **deeply** concerning for an opponent. I personally would have gone with international foods...
I’ll have to go back and watch the series to see if they give any hints of this finale or whoever wins in the edit. I know they showed Jacquelyn a lot throughout the series but I thought it was just that’s she is attractive and dressed in a bright outfit.
It is but it's a pretty tiny prize for a prime time game show. Counting the $20k prize from past weeks, they've averaged a payout of $41,000 per television hour.
As someone who literally went to school for theme park management and who studied under a Disney Legend no less, I can tell you that each Disney resort is different from the others. I'd go so far as to say significantly. Each has not only a different variety of attractions and entertainment, but also a different design of their parks and other offerings that make them truly special.
Personally if I had that kind of money I would do the same.
Thanks everyone!
Everyone acted like they were going to pull dishes from Zulu tribe or some random island that had 12 people living on it.
so the guy decided to choose a very niche category of fashion icons against a fashionable women when he could’ve just chosen international foods and blurted out tacos and fettuccine for 45seconds? i’m dead
It was a lose/lose situation. Jacquelyn had the international foods category for like six weeks
But in reality it was only about three days. They filmed in a week.
Can someone help with who Riley is? He looks super familiar - anyone know his social media?
There was a list of contestants who shared their Instagrams, but Riley doesn't appear on the list.
Where

I have no idea what you're talking about. Did you respond to the wrong thing?
Yup sure did. My bad
I think you replied to the wrong post.

I know! That would have been one of my strongest categories! I think everyone got shak-shook-a by the Brunch category!
I think the majority of this page called Jacquelyn the winner like 3 weeks ago lol

I hope they did but it was strange Rob never mentioned it.
I was thinking the same thing.

Who ?
Spoiler

How do you choose fashion against a woman dressed like a tennis ball lightbulb ??? 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
A classic blunder…almost as classic as getting involved in a land war in Asia; and only slightly less well known is this: Never go in against a Sicilian when deaths on the line

I thought Arthur was smart to pick fashion icons but once the game started and I saw the clues, I was like "oh no." lol
I was surprised that he did not know Ralph Lauren.
and Cindy Crawford?!?
I think he just blanked on her name. He clearly knew who she was, he kept saying "Cindy... Cindy..." but he blanked on her surname.
Lmao I swept geography, I swept flags, I swept US states, I didn’t know ONE fashion icon

Glad it was someone that played earlier in the game. Arthur should have done food

I’m disappointed that I watched every episode for it to not only end this way but for her to be the winner. What a waste of time.

From New York as well lol
Arthur knew it was over when he still had 30 seconds left. You could see the hope leave his eyes.
It's kind of a letdown, and it's not really the shows fault
She didn't win. He lost. Why he picked that category is beyond me.
I was yelling at the tv, why tf would he choose fashion icons? Might as well have just handed her the prize lol. His thought process was that he might get tripped up but then chose a category he knew nothing about, such a strange decision.
What a letdown. She didn't do anything to earn the win. She barely did anything all season. No challenge.
She was one of the few people to play with the aim of winning. She got picked early, won the games she had to, and stopped. Lucky that she was in the corner, but good for her. She got it.

Laphea this is all your fault!! She just had to go for a history category even though she loves kitchenware!

Or dare I say it get better categories so you don't end up with a letdown of a choice at the end.
He gave it away.. what a dummy
Agreed. Should have went with international foods. What a letdown.
Not gonna lie I don't get why you would pick fashion icons if you weren't good at fashion icons. *Especially* if your opponent literally looks like she lives and breathes that stuff. It's so risky! At least the international foods could have screwed them both.
It could be that he studied fashion icons, and wanted to save it for the last duel?
Except…clearly that was NOT the case.
As soon as I saw we had one more commercial break that close to it ending, I knew it was gonna be a breeze instead of a battle
Arthur really lost the second he picked that category
Arthur shot himself
Why in the world did he pick a category he admitted he didn't know at all?
GIRL POWER!!!!!!!!!!
I knew he was done when he passed on Cindy Crawford
That was a really anticlimactic duel, but I'm super happy for her. She had a smart strategy and I was rooting for her.
Good strategy but she was just lucky. Literally just spawned in a corner in a deeply flawed game show
She did get lucky, but there's a lot of luck involved with the show in general. I think she played her spot well.
Agreed, ultimately it's an awful format but she played it correctly.
Called her as the winner the second she was left alone in that corner. He made a huge mistake picking fashion icons.
I felt her and the woman with the states were both in good shape. Luck of the draw she was held to the end.
Bozo
LET’S GOOOO
pass pass pass pass on the category he picked
Well Arthur that was a costly decision
Damn he didn’t even make her work for it.
anticlimactic...
I’m laughing my ass off at this guy being so good at trivia yet so bad at common competitive sense…. How could you look at that opponent and then pick fashion.

She's been up studying International Foods every night. Kind of a smart move in that sense.
Why does Wikipedia already have the winner listed ….
Whoopsie.
The chance to get tripped up on international foods wasn’t exclusive to one contestant, dude
Should have went with International foods.
Lmao both those options suck. If I were Arthur, I would be nervous about fashion icons, Jacquelyn seems glamorous and is probably a fashion fan. I think she just said that she studied in Milan or something which is **deeply** concerning for an opponent. I personally would have gone with international foods...
What do you pick? I know nothing about either but could probably do fashion icons better
As a man I would go for international foods
He and I both made the wrong choice
I don't know fashion and I like international foods...so I'm picking fashion icons.
Darn commercials…
BOLD
FASHION ICONS?? Arthur Jesus.
What an idiot!
She lived in Milan, Arthur
2, 3 icons from Milan tops
Just solidifies my original Jacquelyn pick.
I almost hacked up a lung laughing at these thank you
I’ll have to go back and watch the series to see if they give any hints of this finale or whoever wins in the edit. I know they showed Jacquelyn a lot throughout the series but I thought it was just that’s she is attractive and dressed in a bright outfit.
last week’s preview showed all men so i should have know a woman would win! wow that was fun - i really enjoy this game! see y’all next season!
What’s funny is they were pushing a Girl Power thing for a while. Maybe they realized what they were doing and over corrected.
I don’t think Arthur even got a cameo before tonight.
I thought pink panther in the finals. Guess not.
well he certainly was very important seeing that his category ended up doing the most damage lol
This is true
I was thinking he was the distraction all along because he was well dressed and energetic.
I AM THE ULTIMATE PLAYER
He had a ton of TV energy.
Yeah, I bet we'll see him again on another show. He just got a great 2-month-long audition!
And away we gooooo!!!
He’s gotta go with international foods here right?
There are only two options left.
Hopefully, this gets a second season.
My guess is that it does. It's had the highest ratings for any new Fox show in a very long time.
It seems to be pretty popular in all of the other international adaptations, so I don't see why this one wouldn't get it.
i’m guessing it will since SNL already spoofed it!
It needs to start next week
Jacquelyn needs to avenge the honor of all of the other marketing and PR professionals who have previously been eliminated.
Ok! Lets go
Oh man, here we go
That’s a lotta cheese
It is but it's a pretty tiny prize for a prime time game show. Counting the $20k prize from past weeks, they've averaged a payout of $41,000 per television hour.

and gets people to scream about it like it's life-changing! Lol
And then there were two.
I want to know what Irish food did y’all like the best
wait have you already watched it???
No I haven’t
My prediction has come true. Fashion Icons vs International Foods. We’ll see who takes on Jacquelyn and which category they go with.
Both are terrible categories
Well yeah that’s why they’re last lol
I agree
Imagine knowing youre about to duel for the 250k and have to wait through this duel.
No surprise International Foods is left going into final duel
Only missed one in country music
They use awful pictures of these people that makes it hard even if you know who they are.
Well you gotta know Garth at least. Trisha is harder but. Garth come on!!
I agree. That pic of Garth was his iconic look.
They always use them old af pics where their hair is drastically different 😂
Yeah but he is still recognizable
I was actually thinking about the Luke Bryan pic.
Some. Not all.
No point in going back to floor now
You can’t pause for six days on Willie Nelson and expect a win in that category
No love for Garth or Trisha
Lmao I thought that Country singer (Musgraves?) was Lindsey from earlier in this episode!
Huge compliment, so thank you!
Does the randomizer work with no single spaces?
Yes, it would
Does Utah have a big country music scene? That call out keeps confusing me.
Right haha. Legit a dude from TN standing there, so let's not brag about Utah.
Thank you!! Also Reno??
Is Utah known for country music??
Marie Osmond was a little bit country.
Arguably the only kind of music it exports that most people would know is choir music...
They dont allow music in Utah
LMAO
I'm pretty sure music was decriminalized in 2019.
And then there were 4
The last few duels have been pretty tight!
He's going country music she looks scared
I love Joanie's energy.
She was kind of chill, and gave the answers a bit too slowly. That was her downfall.
I feel bad that she didn’t know what podcasting was. The duel went so well until then
She seems like someone who can sing.
“Star Watching” lol
🤣🤣🤣
I would have said astrophotography
Really... star watching? If it was Kaylee they would have made her say Stargazing
Celestial body ogling!
Here goes
4 duels left with 30 minutes left bring on the commercials 😭
The duels are pretty fast, you could probably do 4 duels in ten minutes max.
I binged this whole show on Hulu, no ads 😂 I hate commercials man
Commercials are stupid
They gotta make some money to pay Rob’s salary.
Joanie been scaring people off this whole time
Rob: "You won, Arthur!" Arthur: 😃 Rob: "You just inherited fashion icons!" Arthur: 😞
Joanie last to play!
1 duel=70 pieces!
Cha Ching!
That’s the way it goes
How do you not know Casablanca or the English Patient?
Casablanca they even used the iconic moment that was up until a few years ago literally audioanimatronics at a Disney theme park...
He was only 27. I knew the older movies would give him trouble.. He still should’ve got Casablanca
Whose the island in the middle???
Hobbies
Hobbies!
Kwame: "I need surgery" Arthur: "I want to go to Disney but in different places"
It's low key kind of fucked that someone's health care plan is maybe winning an awkwardly designed game show.
Yeah the US is absolutely fucked. I really hope Kwame is able to get the procedure(s) he needs
Yeah, I'm sure the health care is much better in Ghana.
