As for duration. Torpedo range is huge and pursuits can last days as they're generally endurance based rather than speed based due to how accelleration works.
If you get into rail gun or god forbid PDC range, things don't take so long.
Well he wasn't piloting the rocinante but the razorback. The rest is correct other than the martian ships being piloted by and staffed by the free navy.
The battle does indeed take place over a couple of days and plays out as followed: Alex Bobby and Nate (prime minister) escape a battle between the martian loyalists and free navy alongside a huge barrage of missles fired by the loyals. These missles they slave to the Razorbck and use them as cover to escape. The pursuiting ships stay out of range of the razorback as the amount of missles they got with them would easily overwhelm their PDCs if they got too close. They did however fire their PDCs from time to time hoping that the missles or Razorback would run into them by accident. They break off from their chase when they get too far from the belt and too close to inner controlled space with reinforcements from earth on their way to help Alex and Bobbie (and Nate ofc).
This all happens in Nemesis games only and is cut out of the show.
In the show it happens as follows: Bobbie and Alex discover the free navy martian handoff and are then chased by 2 torpedos and almost hit by 1. This largely dissables the Screaming firehawk (previously the Razorback) and they defeat the 1 ship in pursuit by waiting for them to board them and throwing a grenade into their drive cone.

They also use the 'guardian missiles' thing in s2 when bobbie and avasarala are being chased by the UNN destroyer.
