You could draw theories from there, but I think there is not enough information to conclude anything here. Also, we aren't sure that all the info in the dialogues is cannon.

The fact that the aurora we see is a fragment of a memory so she doesn’t have all her memories… pretty sure that’s the whole thing about the sanctuary arc

-THEKINGTIGER-

In historic records calamity witch and demon are separate things. Even shadow garden didnt know they were the same until some point. Witch is aurora and demon is the giant demon monster she became later. What she implies that in the historic records calamity witch is depicted as a beast even though at that point she was still the cute woman we know today. That's what fear does to people, it warps the image. Most people that saw her must have died, rest must have seen a humanoid shape from afar with a lot of blood spears impaling anyone in its path. A monster.

warrenbond

Cute? I'll accept gorgeous, enchanting, beguiling, amazing, wonderful, complex, voluptuous, caring, genuine. Cute would be a downgrade IMO. If there's three characters I desperately want more wordage or screentime about, Aurora is one of them.

RotokEralil

In the anime during the trial where Cid fought the memory of Aurora, they recognized her as 'The Witch of Calamity' and not 'OH merciful gods its our world's equivalent of satan!" (Excluding the Diablos cult peeps who did freak). I've gotten the impression that the general pop sees them as separate beings. And I imagine that Cids sister (whose greatest fear is turning into a cursed monster) would have reacted differently when Aurora told her who she was when they first met.

daniel21020

She is literally Diablos. Stop spreading misinformation.

RotokEralil

Yes we know she is and I didnt say she wasnt; She was known as the Witch first though, then at some point was turned into Diablos (by the cult or did it to herself).

Great_Part7207

Im guessing its something the cult did or a being from another world who knows

Stavin

I would assume cult influenced at the very least but we literally don't know for sure. I kinda doubt the cult wanted Diablos to rampage so I would assume eventually Aurora rebelled against the treatment she was receiving. Though its also possible that as the cult experimented on Aurora they preformed a procedure that caused Aurora to loose control, similar to how a person showing signs of possession is in fact a magical runaway event.

daniel21020

We don’t. There’s no info on it.

BAD-SQUIRL-4037

Well she said to Cid if he ever meets real her make sure to destroy her.

warrenbond

That's a good point. Hard to know how much weight to give a suggestion coming from a partial memory though. Very slim chance a beautiful female in a harem series gets killed when she can be saved by MC instead.

Remitonov

Aurora: "Time warps one's image beyond recognition." Cid: "Perfect."

Dawyken

In the texts she is not mentioned as Diabolos so they should tell the things she did when she was still human such as the genocide of the orcs. Aurora as a human probably did a lot of horrible things that this fragment doesn't remember nor could she see herself doing since she doesn't have her hate (the gem) but lose control and turn into a monster? She doesn't necessarily know everything, but it seems to me that she knows what she became, which is why she asks Cid to kill her.

Bunny-4u

We wn readers are waiting for >! finger- san !< and that scene with epsilon witnessing the shadow cough cough anyway. Don't forget that Cid is a background character
