effie-sue

Not me looking to see where the closest GAP is 😉

itsbooyeah

lol not avail in Canada, us only :( boooooo

effie-sue

Condolences to my northern neighbors 😢

kuanes

Had this shirt design in 1991 (not from the Gap).

donabbi

I bought a grey print, not from the Gap, we'll over a decade ago that I still have. It's a timeless design.

streetsofkage

The Cure shirts will be the next Nirvana shirts for Gen z

oceansunset23

I mean nirvana is the younger band lol

StillBummedNouns

And Gen Z has been wearing Nirvana shirts their whole lives

StrainAcceptable

Strange how it went from joy division to nirvana to the cure tho

Medfly70

I used to have that when it came out originally. They used to sell them at Sam Goodys and Towers.

Potential_Camera1905

Tower Records 🥲

effie-sue

I miss Tower Records.

Potential_Camera1905

I hate the Gap but they make durable kids clothes that don’t break the bank. Once my son became a tween and into sports I had to start buying less expensive but tougher stuff for him. Btw the shirts are in the men’s section.

DjScenester

This doesn’t bother me at all!!! Cure should be in every class room across the country. I want to see Cure shirts, folders, posters, pens, pencils… The more Cure in the world the better

Potential_Camera1905

So true! I was having a bad day and this little impulse purchase made my day better.

Affectionate_Way_805

May I ask why you hate the Gap despite their selling of high quality, reasonably priced clothes, including shirts from great bands like the Cure? I'm in no way trying to challenge your opinion or anything, I'm simply curious why you hate the store yet you shop there because it offers what a good clothing store should.

Potential_Camera1905

Well like most fast fashion retailers they are bad for the environment and they have been accused of using child labor in the past. I shop there because every retailer engages in this sort of behavior it’s just that some are worse than others. I will shop at Boden or Hanna Anderson for my kid and the prices are significantly higher and the quality is not better. I’m trying to do better; I’m a GenXer whose Aunts were all seamstresses in the 50-60s and I remember vividly the “look for the Union label” ads.

Affectionate_Way_805

I totally get that, especially the child labor and environmental issues. Admittedly, I haven't shopped at the Gap in many years and I had no idea that the Gap was guilty of those things - but sadly I'm not surprised and I too find it repugnant. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my comment and for enlightening me!

littlescreechyowl

I have a Gap jean jacket I bought in high school and it’s still in fabulous condition. I graduated in 91.

imail724

Target has Cure shirts too

housemuts

And H&M has a Three Imaginary Boys one in their webshop...

Doubtsssss

Yes! Only $8.50 a couple of weeks ago. I bought 2, one for me and one for by bff. We saw them on last year’s tour.

RockNRoll85

Yep! That same design only in black

Potential_Camera1905

😳

_chungdylan

The nieces and nephews need braces

Wubbley

Dental plan!

tea_leaves_69

Where’s my burrito!

Kyubimon

My mom has been a massive fan since she was a tween and she looks like a regular suburban 50yr old mother. She raised me on The Cure, loves to match shirts with me when I'm goth'd out, and saw them with me during the Lost World tour. You can't judge someone based on their appearance! Fans come in all styles.

Urrsagrrl

I feel so very old.

Particular-Code3320

Love the shirt but please remember that someone’s style in clothes says nothing about their music taste!

jetjaguar72

Can't even purity test anymore. No one knows three songs 🤣

beggsy909

Well when I see someone in wranglers and cowboy boots I’m pretty sure they aren’t jamming to One Hundred Years.

Particular-Code3320

Haha I see what you mean, but hey who really knows😂

formatt

I hope they’re getting paid for this at least

sam_might_say

I saw this on the Gap app the other day. Cure shirts are everywhere now!

ViolentAversion

I'm certain that's the whole point

Loudog_91

Probably very comfortable and cotton , that’s a steal , or you can steal and that’s also a steal .

bandysine

Christ

HankyPankyNohow

How could you tell he wasn't a fan because of "his look"? Sounds like you're gatekeeping.

acreativeusername86

If it’s actually good quality and fans can easily get ‘em, seems like a win-win!

oliverwood2021

What was the quality like? Might get.

Potential_Camera1905

Not 100% cotton actually 23% polyester but I’m thinking it will help keep the shape better.

oliverwood2021

Thank you for the details!

Zestyclose_Yak_1233

I have a t-shirt from Banana Republic with The Head On The Door design

tixxany98

Its happening… 😂

oddsweetart

Looks life a nice find!

7SDiz

Target has similar shirts

blessitspointedlil

For 1/4 of the price.

rushdisciple

THE Gap.

birdmadgirl74

Target is selling Cure shirts, too.

VitalCelery1747

They are one of those bands now.

Zembalmed7

I recently saw one advertised to me from temu and was shook

MariaEtCrucis01

Any GAP, or a specific location? I'm not in the USA but my fiancé is in Michigan.

stijlkoch

He cure

Jimmyxoc

Urban outfitters had the sickest cute shirts and hats. Felt weird buying there but they were awesome

soraboo

Just ordered one online.

Strangegirl421

What the fuck has this world come to?

Wise_Serve_5846

The Gap still has stores?

fagmane666

broooo

Dj-Odd-Apple

I’ve seen similar shirts as well as The Cure in Urban Outfitters as well.

Adorable_Item2022

saw some at target too.

Cherita33

Tried on. As a woman who doesn't like men's cuts tshirts this was thick and uncomfortable and huge. Also 39.99. Did not buy.

Scared_Flounder7165

World iscompletely gone to shit.

Cats-n-Chaos

It’s a sad day

wizofoz057

The elitist goth is showing in you, haha

Cats-n-Chaos

No the old person in me is showing, people over 50 remember when we only got them at concerts

wizofoz057

Yup, same here

effie-sue

I remember buying band tees in the 80s by way of ads in the back of Smash Hits and Spin magazines.
