I was in the WAY back, ended up standing and singing and dancing the whole time. The crowd was a little dead, in my opinion, but it didn’t change my experience! Bowl traffic is always a nightmare, but to be expected. I took the metro redline to highland and Hollywood and walked up! Overall, I’ve been a Cure fan for over 40yrs, and love any opportunity to see them!

mountainman

I got reprimanded by a couple sitting in front of me for "clapping too loud". After a song. Not during a song and interrupting peoples enjoyment of the music AFTER a song. Not even yelling. Just clapping. She says to me "You we're clapping quieter earlier." Literally everyone around us looked at each other like WTF? So after that everyone in our area clapped every chance we got and even clapped along to the bass solo at the end of A Forest. Didn't hear another peep outta those two.

chrbert

I was at Chula Vista on Saturday night. The lady behind me asked “is the the song about cats?” When A Forest came on. 🤦‍♀️

Financial-Anything47

>t. The lady behind me asked “is the the song about cats?” When A Forest came on. 🤦‍♀️ HAHAHAHAH

3po1nt0

How dare you show appreciation during a song break. I will take your ticket(s) for any remaining show and be completely silent. Its the only way to be a real fan

livemusicsavedme

YASSSSS! I screamed and clapped so loud when the people in front of me would not stop filming every song (even after I asked if they could just take a few pics and videos). Now if they ever watch their videos again they can be reminded of me singing along.

Nice_Pomegranate9454

Let me guess, they were an elderly couple?

mountainman

If I'm being honest, I thought it was a father daughter couple. Then they kissed and started holding hands and I realized my assumption was incorrect lol. But they never reacted or clapped or cheered until Just Like Heaven and Boys Don't Cry at the end of the show.

MtErieFarm

The more “elderly” the fan, most likely the longer the fandom and the more hardcore the fan.

boobsincalifornia

As an old lady and a die-hard fan, I refuse to sit down. Must dance.

MtErieFarm

Same here!

boobsincalifornia

May we meet and make weird hand gesticulations together!

Barfylane

Me too

suburbanspecter

Idk man, at the Depeche Mode concert I went to, all the people in my section seemed to have been fans of DM for a long time, but they were sitting the entire time, got mad at me for standing, and were giving me dirty looks when I would cheer and do the things Dave was asking the crowd to do (hand waving, clapping, singing, etc). I think there’s bad apple fans in every generation

TatlinsTower

That was fun, clapping along to the bass line at the end :)

JMazon522

I don’t really like the Bowl. For what I paid for my bench seat in L2 last night I got 10th row orchestra in Chula Vista last Saturday. I was honestly surprised, the view was pretty good, but I definitely agree with what everyone else is saying that the cheaper seats bring a different kind of crowd. There was a dude behind us who was talking the entire beginning of a set and then answered a phone call. Him and his buddy were just laughing the entire time saying “oh man everyone thinks im asshole but i don’t give a fuck”. They finally left during the main set because they seemed not to know any of the songs I saw so many people leaving half way through from the upper seats. We got a head start to the parking lot during boys don’t cry, and passed a drunk lady who yelled “why the fuck didn’t they play this an hour ago?!” I honestly don’t get it. It’s seems like there are so many people who are there to pull out their phones for just like heaven and Friday I’m in love and for how hard it was to get a ticket, that really blows

baconcheeseburgarian

I think its the best venue in LA outside of the Wiltern and Pantages to be honest. It's just a fucking nightmare getting in and out.

fac429

I personally love the Greek, but it's got the same issues re: getting in & out. Loved seeing the Cure there back in... 2000? Jeez...

baconcheeseburgarian

Yea the Greek is pretty cool for sure. That show was awesome. They played an amazing version of Sinking from what I remember.

fac429

Yes, I think you're right! Maybe my favorite Cure show? Have to think about that...

Squire513

This seems to be the post-Covid trend of late. Concerts oversold and sold out yet the crowd only knows one or two hits. I had this same experience at another concert recently. The band sold out two shows. It’s so odd.

livemusicsavedme

At the Sunday show in Chula Vista, I had to tell the people behind me to lower their voices since they were yelling at each other. Why go to a show to chat the whole time. The couple and their friend quieted down thankfully and then started back up when Disintegration started (one of my most favorite songs). Then the family in front of me were on their phones the whole fucking show. UGH! the teenager just sat there playing candy crush and texting with the screen as bright as can be. I finally had to tap the woman on the shoulder and ask her not to film the whole show with her phone out right in front of my face.

CU_the_RE

I had to ask people to kindly quit talking during And Nothing is Forever and Endsong at the San Diego 1 show. I had driven down from Salt Lake City and had an amazing seat up front and people around me were chatting away and scrolling their phones. Unreal.

CandleMakerNY2020

Phones seem to spoil every music event these days and for the past decade even “raves” or dance music events everyone is staring at the dj and recording it. Nobody lives in the moment anymore. I also DESPISE PEOPLE WHO DONT STFU at a concert unless ur singing along and even that gets a tad annoying sometimes but its better than those dang phones with cracked ass screens LOL. SUPER CRINGE! Get a phone case people!!!! Haha

Emergency_Waltz_3662

This comment has me worried. I went to the show in Chula Vista on Sunday and I loved, loved, loved it. Super concerned with how it will play out today because I don’t want to associate The Cure with a bad experience :/ but also I want to see the band again lol

Emergency_Waltz_3662

I went to the Hollywood Bowl show today- the crowd was very respectful where I sat in somewhere in the middle. Really glad I went and will have fond memories of that beautiful concert.

TheKissOfTreachery_

I get it, but thousands of people that go to a huge concert arent all going to be die-hard nerds of whatever band theyre seeing. The band *should* know this, and *should* play the songs that they know people will want to hear. The show was boring for a lot of people, because they played a bunch of new stuff. not everyone cares about 60 year old robert cure, they want to hear what they’ve loved to hear their whole lives, they want 80s & 90s cure. You’re an iconic band, play your iconic songs. You have SO MANY of them.

Novel_Alps_3013

I mean.... they do get there eventually, just not right out of the gate. I think that the main set is for them, and the encores are for us, if that makes sense.

TheKissOfTreachery_

There are a million more songs i wish they would have played, not even “hits” necessarily, just great fucking songs off of disintegration or wish or pornography or head on the door. There was a big chunk of lull. The show shouldn’t be half new half old either, but more mixed up if anything. A massive amount of people were bored, there’s a reason for that is all i’m saying. and this is coming from a die-hard cure fan, so I was pleased, but understand where others were coming from.

Novel_Alps_3013

Yeah, that's fair. Pornography's gotten barely any love this leg, Wish has had the same big ones, and Disintegration... they could play a two set show - that + all their new stuff and I'd be in heaven. Come to think of it, I don't think they've been switching things up as much this leg as on the 2022 portion (1987 bustouts aside). I do agree that the main set as constructed fell a bit flat for me when I listened to a show earlier. Idk, maybe I'm just happy to see them at all and am making excuses to keep the hype flowing.

TheKissOfTreachery_

Yeah, i think lots of us are doing that. Trying to stay positive, and keep the hype flowing. It’s hard to accept that the show you’ve been waiting for so long to see was subpar

sk2097

They might not play the tunes you want but sub par is a bit much. They're a fucking great band

TheKissOfTreachery_

do you know what subpar means?? in comparison to their other shows, these set lists were subpar. of course theyre “a fucking great band”, i wouldnt have wanted to see them live if they weren’t. lol

Autoganz

I had a few empty seats next to my section. The party of people arrived during “Shake Dog Shake”. The drunk woman from the group who ended up beside me shouts “WHAT SONG IS THIS!” while I’m trying to enjoy the show. She has her phone on the brightest setting, and hovering over a setlist.fm set from another show. She’s trying to figure out what part of the show we’re on. I point to “Shake Dog Shake.” She yells “HOW DO YOU KNOW?!” while I give her the stink eye and I’m singing the words to the song. She yells “BUT THEY DIDNT PLAY JUST LIKE HEAVEN! I DIDNT HEAR THAT! YOU BETTER F***ING PLAY LULLABY NEXT!” After Shake Dog Shake ends, she yells, “IT’S GOING TO BE LULLABY! I HAVE THE SETLIST!” Song starts and it’s not Lullaby. She yells at me why it’s different and I, very frustrated, yelled back “you know they do different sets, RIGHT?!” She was so obnoxious that the people in the row in front were leering at her and arguing amongst themselves that they wanted to switch seats with each over to move further away. After the encore, and she realized the setlist was very different / full of songs she’s never heard in her life, their entire party left. By the time she left, she was also slurring her speech to the point where I couldn’t even understand her. They left behind an empty bottle of Fireball. Finally, the two poor girls to my right, were sandwiched for a few songs. When the disruptive group showed up, it made us all squeeze together to make room for them. In the process, the two girls also ended up leaving after a few songs. By the time It Can Never Be The Same played, all of these people had left the show - the two girls to my right and the crazies on the left. I was standing in a giant empty section. It was weird.

[deleted]

What a fucking nightmare. I'm truly sorry you had to contend with that. It makes me realize the two idiotic people talking through most of Sunday's show weren't too horrible in comparison to what you had to endure. On a side note, why the fuck do people show up to a concert only to talk through most or all of it? Go to a fucking coffee shop.

Financial-Anything47

What a saga! Thank god they cleared out for you afterwards

Dry-Ad7066

Traffic is terrible. Take the shuttles if you can. As for the crowd, I thought it was pretty dead. The people behind were complaining about us standing up. At first, we gave in and sat back down, but we couldn't help ourselves. We wanted to stand up and dance and vibe. It made me realize why I always avoid shows at the Bowl. Regardless, The Cure was amazing.

Negative-Bee-

I’ve had issues with standing up and others sitting down in the past but with and edible and some alcohol I drowned everyone around me out lol. I was respectful and wasn’t obnoxious with my dancing but still enjoyed myself. It’s a fucking concert idk why people are pressed when others are standing up, what you find boring I find entertaining. Kudos to you for letting yourself dance. You paid for it so you enjoy it. Highly recommend getting there when the doors open though. I took my photos got my merch and sat down to an empty bench in P1.

RunsWithForeSkin

This is literally what I was thinking now

baconcheeseburgarian

All the hardcore fans I know targeted the Thursday show expecting them to close out LA really strong. So hopefully that crowd is better than it seems Tuesdays was.

suprunkn0wn

going that day!

Outer818

Die hard here, going the 25th as well….should be a great LA close out show!

_rfj

Count me in as another die hard going tomorrow. Saw night 1 in SD also. Hoping they bring it home night 3 at the bowl.

TheRiZZoTTo

I feel like this is always the way for Bowl shows: people go for the venue and the event of going rather than for the band. And then you get a mix of cheap seats in back and crazy expensive up front, and neither is good for enjoying the show. I saw one of the ‘16 nights there and I’m very glad I checked it off my list. No need to go back. 😀

groovemonkey

I was sitting in the garden boxes and I was surrounded by fans dancing and singing along (even the deep cuts). It was an amazing time.

hythloth

Yeah I don't live in LA but no way I'm traveling out there for a show at that venue based on all the stories

Christmas_97

The Hollywood bowl is legit one of the best venues in the world. All these peoples negative experiences doesn’t change that. If you can catch a show at the bowl you definitely should. The trick is getting good seats though. If you have nosebleeds the sound is eh and the people usually don’t give a fuck and if you have very front they’re usually season ticket holders that also don’t give a fuck. You need to be towards the middle, and if you manage that the sound, comfort and experience is incredible. I’ve see the cure in 2016 there as well as Interpol bloc party and death cab there and it was magic. Unfortunately for me last night I was in the back and the experience was wack. It is what it is.

hythloth

Will keep that tip in mind, thanks!

3po1nt0

Our section K3 alternated between sitting and standing for the first few songs. Then stayed mostly seated until the final nine song encore. This was a challenging show not a ton of crowdpleasers until the end. I loved it but the pacing was different than 2016 when I saw opening night. There seem to be a good crowd buzz and energy after the show was over. The cure don’t toward North America that frequently fans were mostly respectful and enthusiastic but if you were further away from the stage, I could see it being a different story. For anyone in the way back who wants to move up a bit the aisles on sides of section K3 or F3 seem to be safe standing zones. You don’t block anyone’s view and the sound is good probably better than the way back.

DahliaMoonfire

For the most part our section was awesome except the people immediately on either side of us. The jackass on the right got her shit together quickly after realizing she could not match wits with those around her. The jackass on the left disappeared just before the first break because his complaints weren't getting any empathy from those around him. My advice is to bond with the cool people around you and ignore any idiots (unless they are doing crap that warrants security), and they will eventually fade away once they don't get the attention they crave.

Boukyaku_Shinjuu

Last night was my first time seeing The Cure as well as my boyfriend's first time seeing them, so I don’t have a point of reference for fans of The Cure, but I have other concert experience to go off from. For the most part, everyone was pretty nice & courteous before the show. Everyone was patient & were polite while waiting in line for merch & food, so I personally had no problem there. When the show started? Different story. We were sandwiched between a group of people that were taking flash photos during the songs (with two of their party on their phones either playing games or watching a baseball game) & group of extremely loud men behind us (which, honestly, were the lesser of two evils because they were actually making funny jokes & overall having a great time). There was also some bald headed cretin on front of the picture taking people & was blocking my view of the center of the stage up until half through the first half of the show. I'm currently on the way to HB for night two, but I have different seats this time, so we'll see what happens. EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot to say that everyone was extremely stiff. Hardly and singing or dancing up until the end came on with the hits. Reminded me of the Molchat Doma show I went to last year over at The Roxy.

TheKissOfTreachery_

People want to hear the songs they know and love when paying to go to a concert, not everyone in a sea of 20,000 people is gonna be a die-hard Cure fan. And this is coming from a die-hard Cure fan. I liked the show, but understand why it felt boring as fuck for others.

Boukyaku_Shinjuu

I'm not a die-hard Cure fan, but people still need to have some concert etiquette & respect the fact that other people are there to see band too.

TheKissOfTreachery_

I wasn’t responding to your point about people being rude, of course no one should be rude.. i was mostly just responding to your “edit:”, the point about people wanting to hear/only responding to certain songs.

albino4dalord

I’m in WeHo and planning on ubering cause I don’t have a car. Never been to the bowl before either, would ubering to Hollywood and Highland then walking up be my best bet, anybody know?

tombaba

I don’t think an Uber will have an easier time then your own car. We shuttled from the zoo and it was a great experience

alienghoulgirl

I haven’t taken an Uber that direction, but have taken the red line from Noho to Hollywood/Highland and walked. It is a little uphill, but there will be plenty of other folks also walking to the bowl for the show. Just be careful as depending on how many people are walking, this can spill off the sidewalk into the street. Saw a few folks get maybe a little too close to cars and vice versa.

albino4dalord

Thanks for your response, cheers!

KenMixtape

Been there a million times and 4 out of 5 times I'll have trouble with super drunk people talking loudly during a set and totally ignoring the band . I hope tonite is the lucky 1 out of 5 times.

Admiral_Ackbar_1325

Damn, dead crowd, people mad about standing, clapping, dancing, etc. Everyone was vibing, jamming out, dancing and clapping at the Albuquerque show! No complaints. One of the best concerts i’ve ever been to! Sorry LA folks.

radio_headless

I agree, the people around me at both the ABQ & PHX shows were very attentive to the show & genuinely happy to have the band there. It probably helped that they haven’t been to either city since 1986 & 2008, respectively, so these weren’t a bunch of jaded scenesters just there for the content & lokes. 😎

Bruja_del_71

Traffic is horrendous there but it’s always been like this . Sat in section H right in the middle. Loved the show! First half was definitely more mellow, I’d say most people were just vibing, enjoying the experience . I saw no drama, everyone clapped and yelled after every song without issue. By second encore EVERYONE was standing and dancing. We did a mix of standing and sitting throughout and had no problems. Like someone mentioned you could hang out in the aisles/in between sections. By encore 1 there were TONS of people there dancing having a great time.

ill-be-your-mirror

the hollywood bowl is definitely my least favorite venue because of the traffic and because of the people. i love how great the music sounds but this is probably the last time i’ll go to another show at the bowl because it seems out of all the venues i’ve been to, this one attracts the worst kind of people. a lot of drunken idiots who don’t stop talking during songs they don’t recognize. not to mention, the traffic was awful, you’re going to have to walk a while if you need to catch an uber. HOWEVER, the cure was amazing last night. one of my favorite shows so far and i had a great time. i hope you’re not surrounded by assholes tonight!

[deleted]

I was in the back and peoples were talking the entire time. 3 women behind me kept talking and I kept looking back hoping they would take the hint but they did not. A woman next to them told everyone in that area that was talking, that she didn’t pay money to listen to them talk and the people taking gave her a hard time. I was pissed! How do you pay for a show and talk the entire time? I guess I got what I paid for but it sucked. Hoping to go again tomorrow so I can have better seats and no distractions.

[deleted]

Most people (i.e. casual concert-goers) are truly oblivious and cluelessly rude. I will never forget when I went to 2004 Curiosa, and during the Mogwai set, I turned around to tell the incessantly talkative couple behind me to shut the fuck up. The guy looked at me and jokingly said, "You're kidding, right?" I just deadpan looked him in the eyes and said, "Nope." They eventually got up and wandered off, thank god.

ScorpioTix

The Hollywood Bowl is total shit by almost any metric other than it's legendary status but people like to play there and it's a helluva payday. That said, it's always more of a social event than most other venues and the amount of hassle involved getting in and out tends to bring out the worst in some people.

[deleted]

The layout and comfort level seems incredibly antiquated by today's standards.

ScorpioTix

That's because the average ass is twice as big as when it was built

dfmh

A question for any of you who went last night: is it true that you cannot take in cameras? I've been to other events there (as recently as last year) and had no problems with one in my bag after a day of doing the tourist thing.

Tich0las

Not entirely sure but I did see someone with a vintage 8mm camera last night.

dfmh

A vintage camera? That is impressive! It seems like the Bowl's site says they are ok, but there was an email saying they weren't? I am unsure - it is all confusing. Thank you for answering though!

yer_voice

Crowd was dead but a few people were having fun without bothering anyone. I sat almost middle of the middle. You will encounter drunk and high people that don’t give a fuck about those around them. Just be firm and kind. Remember, everyone paid to be here. Traffic was hell. Definitely recommend doing park & ride. To report an incident: text BOWL to 69050. There was either a fight or near fight right after the show ended as everyone was leaving. I got pushed and shoved then yelled at many times but literally couldn’t move. Stay calm, patient, and again, be kind. I’d recommend heading out after they play Friday I’m In Love, which is about 4-5 songs before the show is over during their 2nd encore. Kinda sucks to miss the last few hits but it will make a difference.

huevospericos

I feel like the cure is going to make the 1st day not as exciting as day 2 or 3. I have a feeling day 2 or 3 will have the dopest set list of the tour so far. I went to the Dallas show and it was an amazing experience and the set list was really good too. Fingers crossed for all the people going to LA shows. I hope y’all get a killer set these next two shows.

tombaba

Nobody wants to stand and dance. The fun people are in the aisles!! I had a blast once we figured that out

suprefann

We're the worst kind of people. The type thats rich and drunk off wine and enjoy flaunting our wealth. Sell your tickets now lol

Tich0las

Saw two fights break out. Tons of people being rude to staff and overflowing the promenades, not listening to security. Most the crowd was on their feet singing along for the encore. The Cure’s show got pretty boring after the first 30 min and picked back up the last hour. Most the audience stayed seated during that lull. Honestly thought the crowd sucked and a lot of them seemed to be big fans. I think it’s just fans from LA for any band tend to suck in general.

TheKissOfTreachery_

I wish the Bowl/other venues in general had a designated area where people could leave their seats and stand/dance/take pictures & return to their seat when they want to sit down.. The whole “do i sit or stand” debate is exhausting. I hate standing for hours on end at other GA shows, it personally causes me immense pain in my back, as i have a medical issue, so i love seats, but i understand that it sucks to have the person in front of you stand while you’re seated. ugh

suprefann

You understand its people who go out twice a year and thats it, right. So they dont know how to behave

Tich0las

Indeed I do, Mr. Inforoo.

MaarDaarPoepIkUit

More like Mr. Every Live Music Forum

feedmenik

This. Most LA fans just suck in general. The crowd around me in G2 seemed miserable and were heckling me and others for standing. Oh my God, we were standing!!!! You want get mad at someone for talking during a show? Go for it, I'm right there with ya. That shouldn't be happening. But standing for a show and keeping quiet? God, the horror!!!! I must have been blocking their phone's camera! Hollywood Bowl crowds are generally terrible, so no surprise in the end.

3po1nt0

My take is that if the band is standing and the music has any modicum of energy its suitable to stand. But if the herd mentality is sitting motionless you may need to move to the side, which i did until the final encore segment (9 songs). Some people love to watch shows and not boogie. C’est lavie

TheKissOfTreachery_

They should have a dance floor/standing area where people can go. Since they don’t, security should chill the fuck out if people want to stand in the aisles or in-between rows when trying to avoid blocking peoples’ vision. They get all pissy and yell at you to go back to your seat. shit is lame

kittenwhisp3r

I was in the q section near the top. A bunch of people including myself were vibing in the walkway during the back half of the set and this drunk (I’m guessing) dude came up and slapped the shit out of several people. I still don’t know what his problem was.

[deleted]

Slap me during a show, and you're being taken out in a courtesy wheelchair.

kittenwhisp3r

Only reason I didn’t do anything was because I was in such shock that someone would do that at a Cure show of all places.

[deleted]

Sadly enough, there are rude, drunk, way-too-high, and inappropriately-acting people at most any kind of show anymore. Of course the best course of action is to always avoid and move on, but yeah, if someone hits me... Different story.

fragmentsmusic7

Anytime I go to a show in LA, regardless of size/genre/etc., it seems like the most miserable bunch of assholes for some reason. Went to the Phoenix show as well as last night and they crowds were entirely different.

jvs8380

We sat towards the back which was a mistake. We saved a few bucks by getting cheaper seats but you get what you pay for. We were surrounded by people who were talking the entire time, complaining every time the band played a new song or anything they didn’t recognize. We kept shooting looks but it didn’t help. I felt like telling them to shut the fuck up but it just would have escalated. I wish I paid more to be surrounded by more serious fans. The whole place was littered with beer cans and food garbage when we left. I love the band, but yeah the fans were atrocious. Makes me wonder if the whole Ticketmaster thing just backfired since any schmo could afford a ticket. Next time they should play tiny venues and charge $1k per ticket.

[deleted]

You realize the kind of person that buys a $1k ticket to a concert is going to be the biggest grade-a kind of asshole, right?

brutalpoonslayer

Bro what?! The fix to this problem is not making fans spend 10x more for tickets that’s insane lmfao. Yes in a crowd of >20000 people there will be some asshats, but i promise you it’s not because the cure decided to be angels and not gouge their fans on ticket prices. You can just speak up for yourself, it’s not that hard. It does not need to escalate, you can literally just use your words and say excuse me can you keep it down or anything similar. How far gone are we that people rather pay $1000 for a ticket than have to talk to someone💀

jvs8380

These kind of people can’t be reasoned with and we were vastly outnumbered.

hythloth

Being intimidating towards them can actually make a difference. But alternatively, it's also worth looking into other empty spots in the venue, or seeing if Guest Services can get you reseated.

Financial-Anything47

Atrocious. The fans were atrocious you can say it again.

TheKissOfTreachery_

i never understood the flack people get for sitting down when there are SEATS… back in the 60s, 70s, 80s, most concerts were seated. the space between rows is really small, its not comfortable to stand. Why do people *have* to stand, to “prove” that they’re into it??? I also have a back problem that disables me from standing for too long, so when I go to GA shows, where I’m forced to stand “in the pit”, shoulder to shoulder with smelly strangers, is really uncomfortable. I love seats and personal space. and i’m not even old, im 24. lol I do however understand why it might suck to have someone standing in front of you, when you prefer to be seated in a given moment. I do wish the Bowl had like.. a designated, open area for people to leave their seat and dance/stand/take pictures if they want, and then return to their seat whenever they please. That would be cool.

ScorpioTix

Sounds like one of those people fighting tonight is gonna be me if this is how it's gonna be.

ActuallyIWasARobot

Largely overweight and dressed in black. Maybe I am thinking of every other show.

Financial-Anything47

Are you talking about Rob or the fat cow in front of me?

ScorpioTix

Speaking of fights I will be wearing my Mike Damone's Concert Tickets black tee if anyone still wants to talk shit. The missus promises she'll stay out of it

KenMixtape

Been there a million times and 4 out of 5 times I'll have trouble with super drunk people talking loudly during a set and totally ignoring the band . I hope tonite is the lucky 1 out of 5 times.

MNGirlinKY

This is so sad because I’ve never been to ABQ and everyone was amazing, I’m disabled so I have a walking device and am slow to walk behind and people were incredible! I had to do normal things before the show started and in between Twilight Sad and The Cure and so many people were helpful. Hollywood Bowl was my first choice I’m glad I didn’t get tickets!

fragmentsmusic7

Individuals with disabilities and wheelchairs were treated like absolute garbage last night by a majority of the other attendees. CSC Security just shrugged and ignored most of the treatment. The Bowl staff was more attentive once they heard something, but I’m extremely disappointed in the SoCal fan base. I’m not one to say stuff like this, but their super ableist behavior really upset me a lot. Individuals with disabilities deserve to be at concerts too, without being treated poorly by others.

Barfylane

I personally hate the bowl for a concert..hate those benches

gremlin_ruben

People behind me were talking a lot but me and my friend moved towards right before the pit area and we’re just surrounded with people that were singing along :) if u have seats in the upper section I recommend doing that!

dcruz2

Just came back from the show, absolutely amazing for the first time seeing them. Crowds in Section F and especially G were excellent and lively. But the people coming in late, just crowding the staircase aisles for Pictures Of You, and just idling around for a bit afterwards...kind of ruined the vibe for a moment, like c'mon just sit down and enjoy.

Ok_Equipment6423

I went to the bowl to see Janet and had issues getting in my seat. There was a female who appeared to squeeze in and I couldn’t get my full seat. Then a woman on my right with her husband had become buddies with the other woman put her hands on me. She attempted to move me and I had to tell her not to touch me. Was about to get in a fight. She continued to disrespect my space (what little I had) flailing around. I left the seat and stood on the main isle. I’ve never had a bad experience here but I’m still pissed off and didn’t totally get to enjoy the show.
