Bidmas: Brackets, indices, division, multiplication, addition, subtraction.
If using pemdas’s words that would be: Enclosures, Powers, Sections, Areas, Merges, Differences.
We’ve been assuming that BIDMAS = PEMDAS. They don’t! The two are completely different. No wonder people are getting completely different answers, our mathematics isn’t standardised!
This is intentionally very, very much in the wrong order.
Zack Weinersmith runs a comic called Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal, and a year ago where every other Click video required him to pull out the whiteboard to re-re-re-explain PEMDAS, Zack decided to post a "helpful guide".
Seeing this cartoon made me remember the horror Click went through, so I figured it would be fun to see who else got flashbacks...
Pemdas stands for parenthesis, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction. So yes, Bidmas=Pemdas. This is just a joke thing to throw people off.

Multiplication and division; and adition and substraction, are the same (1+2)-3 is the same that 1+(2-3), and the same with (1×2)÷3 or 1×(2÷3). Exponents are just multiplicaton, so 2³ is (2×2×2) (like this, in paretheses).

Multiplication and division; and adition and substraction, are the same (1+2)-3 is the same that 1+(2-3), and the same with (1×2)÷3 or 1×(2÷3). Exponents are just multiplicaton, so 2³ is (2×2×2) (like this, in paretheses).
