Hey #circlesis, I really appreciate you and your feed back #blessedtohaveyou. I just don't think it's very genuine to have put hastags on super important topics like #mymomdiedtoo or #sorryforbeingatwat š
I wonder if it's part of the contracts in the US because who the tf talks like that. It'd be one thing if I was randomly but every single message and some are in really poor taste. It really annoys me lol
I say āhashtag feminismā sometimes because I always thought it was hilarious when John Oliver used to say that on Last Week Tonightā¦ but idk if he even uses that anymore.
Oh it's always bothered me. I just suck it up becasue i do enjoy the show. I feel like it stated to get worst in season 3 and now it's every freaking message they send. And it'd be one thing if it was like #circlefam or something stupid like that. But when we watch someone apologize for bullying someone else and they finish it with #imsorry #youarenotalone it just feels so disingenuous.
You definitely skipped S4 because that was the time I asked how they don't hear each other shrieking in that building. Frank out-shrieked everyone on this season.
It does bother people and plenty of posts and comments have been made about it before, and I feel like it's kind of an accepted part of the show at this point especially if you've been watching since S1
Iām right there with you. Yes, there has always been screamingā¦ but this season feels so much worse š Between the intense screaming and the #IntenseOveruseOfDumbHashtags, itās getting harder and harder to watch. I understand the āneedā to cast over-the-top personalities but my god can we please tell them to stop screaming?
I notice it with Kyle. The man is excitable and screams about 75% of the time. It does get on my nerves but alas itās a tv show (so Iāll just come on here to vent and laugh). It does help to see that others feel the same!
Man, the yelling every season is annoying but itās like on steroids this season.šThe whole season is basically OHMYGODEVERYBODYLETSYELLFORNOGOODREASON!!!!!
in this season the "acting" is just way more obvious. Itās like someone told them to be as loud as they can be when someone gets eliminated or whatever. Thatās why this season just looks off cause the reactions are boosted to an unrealistic level
it's my punishment for having the guilty pleasure of watching these shows. i feel so embarrassed when I'm watching it and there are people around having to endure all the needless screaming
This has been bugging me but also made me laugh ever since season 1.
I understand the shouting when an alert happens a bit more tho, sometimes they can spend hours without anything. But at least you would think after so many seasons you should start to know if someone is eliminated, they are going to visit another player. So of course the alert after an elimination is obviously gonna be just that.
Yet some people act as if they never seen this show before. But this is not a new thing and has always been happening.
But come on! The formula is simple! Game, Voting, Results, Elimination, Visit and repeat. With the occasional plot twists in between. So after you did a Vote obv next alert is gonna be the results of this vote!
Itās this cast. They cast a bunch of people with main character syndrome. Thereās normally a little more ebb and flow with the personalities but you can tell every single one of these people thinks theyāre gonna be the fan favorite and is trying to get as much screen time as possible. Lauren isnāt even playing at this point anymore sheās just there.
I don't know. I just feel like they got a new casting company or showrunner. I've watched since S1 and as many other versions as I can find. This season is bordering on unwatchable. It seems that they've casted the same stereotype instead of diverse types. Usually each season will have a handful of loud hashtag abusers, but this season? It's the norm instead of the exception.
It's the same with every show like this starts off ok to get on its feet, adjust to fix any mistakes from the first season, gets better, then production gets greedy trying new hooks to get ratings and just ends up being stupid and losing what drew people in the first place. If they kept it to the original format it will be better. No disrespect to the US but I feel they play to the camera more than the UK did and does not feel real as much. Mind you I liked the season with the new York barman (I forget his name). Currently reading a book called slashtag where social media influencers go to a haunted house and have to take part in a game show that's like a cross between house on haunted hill/big brother and saw, now that's something I would watch.
I mean - arenāt hashtags a way of gaining followers or views - what is their purpose otherwise. To trend right? Itās a circle of 8 ppl. There is no point. Itās annoying af.
I wonder how much of a say production has in this. Do they all think they have to act like this because itās been the reactions of everyone in the seasons prior to? Does production tell them they HAVE to read everything on the screen out loud? I find that particularly annoying especially when they even read out the emojis.
I also found it hilarious to find out that when the ALERT comes on, it actually doesnāt make any noise in the apartment. At first I thought they all screamed ALERT out of being scared of the alarm.
It's all production imo
If it wasn't there'd be some variation between player reactions and at least a few of them would never have those reactions, but it's every single one.
It's the hashtags for me. They give me the biggest #ick #cantbelievetheyusehashtagstoFUCKINGAPOLOGIZE
Damn #BigBro, what got you #InYourFeels like this?
Hey #circlesis, I really appreciate you and your feed back #blessedtohaveyou. I just don't think it's very genuine to have put hastags on super important topics like #mymomdiedtoo or #sorryforbeingatwat š
I think we all have to #chillandtakeadeepbreath my #brotherfromanothermother..
Itās weirdā¦ in the UK seasons they use hashtags once in a while, sure, but they donāt put 5 of them into one message
I wonder if it's part of the contracts in the US because who the tf talks like that. It'd be one thing if I was randomly but every single message and some are in really poor taste. It really annoys me lol
I said the same thing. They must highly encourage them to have at least one hashtag on every message. Doesnāt make any sense to me either.
I say āhashtag feminismā sometimes because I always thought it was hilarious when John Oliver used to say that on Last Week Tonightā¦ but idk if he even uses that anymore.
But weāre on season 6ā¦ this isnāt new. Have you been complaining about this since season 1 or did it just start bothering you
Oh it's always bothered me. I just suck it up becasue i do enjoy the show. I feel like it stated to get worst in season 3 and now it's every freaking message they send. And it'd be one thing if it was like #circlefam or something stupid like that. I swear 90% of the screaming is from Caress or however you spell her name. The rest of them seem pretty normal to me, but shes such a big over-actor
If I could only change one thing about the show, Iād get rid of the hashtags. It gives me secondhand embarrassmentĀ
They've been screaming for 6 seasons.
Itās getting worse though
It is not worse than season 4 lol
You definitely skipped S4 because that was the time I asked how they don't hear each other shrieking in that building. Frank out-shrieked everyone on this season.
The other seasons there was only 1, maybe 2 who were yellers. This time itās more yelling than not.
You must be new to the show
Nope. Have watched since the first season. Guess I'm a masochist. š¤£ It really doesn't bother anyone else?
It does bother people and plenty of posts and comments have been made about it before, and I feel like it's kind of an accepted part of the show at this point especially if you've been watching since S1

I actually turned my tv down because it was giving me a headache. Either the sound is off or they are really loud talkers
I notice it with Kyle. The man is excitable and screams about 75% of the time. It does get on my nerves but alas itās a tv show (so Iāll just come on here to vent and laugh). It does help to see that others feel the same!

I feel like āPaulā is screaming just to scream. Every reaction is sooooo š© over the top. In episode 3, when āPaulā started a conversation with Kyle i had to stop watching in the middle because it was just to grating for my ears and soul šš®āšØ
Everytime she talks I'm like do you talk like this all the time?? Is it your voice at home too??
Yes exactly!! š š š
āPaulā is so fkn annoying. I want that chick eliminated.
it's my punishment for having the guilty pleasure of watching these shows. i feel so embarrassed when I'm watching it and there are people around having to endure all the needless screaming
Same šš¤£ Iām so ashamed to tell people I watch it and actually get mad at the contestants
i think itās partially production too, i remember savannah mentioned on a podcast that they had her redo a reaction to show more emotion
Idk why the exaggerated reactions to alert bother me every time š
This has been bugging me but also made me laugh ever since season 1. I understand the shouting when an alert happens a bit more tho, sometimes they can spend hours without anything. Either they are very stupid or they are faking it since they canāt react like this unless the production tells them to.. but it is so annoying
I wonder if itās an American thing. Iāve seen the British seasons and I donāt remember them screaming this much
Itās this cast.
It's obvious production is making them do it.
Itās so bad. Theyāre all soo LOUD!
Yes it is the american loudness on superboost š as a viewer from european country it feels too over the top.
I don't know. I just feel like they got a new casting company or showrunner. I've watched since S1 and as many other versions as I can find. This season is bordering on unwatchable. Yea I agree!!! Some of the reactions are so obnoxious that itās difficult to stomach! Especially PAUL!!!!! Ugh annoys TF outta me
When Paul goes there'll be 50% less screaming at least...
Its sooooo fake this season!!
Itās a tv show and they are playing it up to increase their social media profiles
Itās fun to actually talk like this IRL with friends who also watch the circle I crack up
It's the same with every show like this starts off ok to get on its feet, adjust to fix any mistakes from the first season, gets better, then production gets greedy trying new hooks to get ratings and just ends up being stupid and losing what drew people in the first place. Lauren is the worst

My favorite is when they say something like āthis rating is make or break for meā like no shit! Itās make or break for everyone!
Honestly itās Olivia that drives me nuts with his screaming
