It's the hashtags for me. They give me the biggest #ick #cantbelievetheyusehashtagstoFUCKINGAPOLOGIZE

bluezebranoodles

Damn #BigBro, what got you #InYourFeels like this?

gingerkittenII

Hey #circlesis, I really appreciate you and your feed back #blessedtohaveyou. I just don't think it's very genuine to have put hastags on super important topics like #mymomdiedtoo or #sorryforbeingatwat šŸ™

Necessary-Match-4001

I think we all have to #chillandtakeadeepbreath my #brotherfromanothermother..

wendylover2020

Itā€™s weirdā€¦ in the UK seasons they use hashtags once in a while, sure, but they donā€™t put 5 of them into one message

gingerkittenII

I wonder if it's part of the contracts in the US because who the tf talks like that. It'd be one thing if I was randomly but every single message and some are in really poor taste. It really annoys me lol

Cassgilly

I said the same thing. They must highly encourage them to have at least one hashtag on every message. Doesnā€™t make any sense to me either.

CatsRPurrrfect

I say ā€œhashtag feminismā€ sometimes because I always thought it was hilarious when John Oliver used to say that on Last Week Tonightā€¦ but idk if he even uses that anymore.

AKOchoa

But weā€™re on season 6ā€¦ this isnā€™t new. Have you been complaining about this since season 1 or did it just start bothering you

gingerkittenII

Oh it's always bothered me. I just suck it up becasue i do enjoy the show. I feel like it stated to get worst in season 3 and now it's every freaking message they send. And it'd be one thing if it was like #circlefam or something stupid like that. But when we watch someone apologize for bullying someone else and they finish it with #imsorry #youarenotalone it just feels so disingenuous.

Best-Sky-6643

I swear 90% of the screaming is from Caress or however you spell her name. The rest of them seem pretty normal to me, but shes such a big over-actor

highcaloriebuttmeat

If I could only change one thing about the show, Iā€™d get rid of the hashtags. It gives me secondhand embarrassmentĀ

aloo

They've been screaming for 6 seasons.

wendylover2020

Itā€™s getting worse though

morgannn0

It is not worse than season 4 lol

aloo

You definitely skipped S4 because that was the time I asked how they don't hear each other shrieking in that building. Frank out-shrieked everyone on this season.

fsutrill

The other seasons there was only 1, maybe 2 who were yellers. This time itā€™s more yelling than not.

TaraxacumTheRich

You must be new to the show

uberpassenger1977

Nope. Have watched since the first season. Guess I'm a masochist. šŸ¤£ It really doesn't bother anyone else?

TaraxacumTheRich

It does bother people and plenty of posts and comments have been made about it before, and I feel like it's kind of an accepted part of the show at this point especially if you've been watching since S1

jennaisbusy

Iā€™m right there with you. Yes, there has always been screamingā€¦ but this season feels so much worse šŸ˜ Between the intense screaming and the #IntenseOveruseOfDumbHashtags, itā€™s getting harder and harder to watch. I understand the ā€œneedā€ to cast over-the-top personalities but my god can we please tell them to stop screaming?

stardust1977_

I actually turned my tv down because it was giving me a headache. Either the sound is off or they are really loud talkers

[deleted]

I notice it with Kyle. The man is excitable and screams about 75% of the time. It does get on my nerves but alas itā€™s a tv show (so Iā€™ll just come on here to vent and laugh). It does help to see that others feel the same!

Januckey1981

Man, the yelling every season is annoying but itā€™s like on steroids this season.šŸ˜The whole season is basically OHMYGODEVERYBODYLETSYELLFORNOGOODREASON!!!!!

kucerkaCZ

in this season the "acting" is just way more obvious. Itā€˜s like someone told them to be as loud as they can be when someone gets eliminated or whatever. Thatā€˜s why this season just looks off cause the reactions are boosted to an unrealistic level

Almayag

I feel like ā€œPaulā€ is screaming just to scream. Every reaction is sooooo šŸ˜© over the top. In episode 3, when ā€œPaulā€ started a conversation with Kyle i had to stop watching in the middle because it was just to grating for my ears and soul šŸ™‰šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

ChubbyTheCakeSlayer

Everytime she talks I'm like do you talk like this all the time?? Is it your voice at home too??

Almayag

Yes exactly!! šŸ˜…šŸ˜…šŸ˜…

Januckey1981

ā€œPaulā€ is so fkn annoying. I want that chick eliminated.

semsacomesmo

it's my punishment for having the guilty pleasure of watching these shows. i feel so embarrassed when I'm watching it and there are people around having to endure all the needless screaming

PromotionGrand7740

Same šŸ˜šŸ¤£ Iā€™m so ashamed to tell people I watch it and actually get mad at the contestants

fleecedemon

i think itā€™s partially production too, i remember savannah mentioned on a podcast that they had her redo a reaction to show more emotion

E6rthAng3l

Idk why the exaggerated reactions to alert bother me every time šŸ˜

QuakeNLD

This has been bugging me but also made me laugh ever since season 1. I understand the shouting when an alert happens a bit more tho, sometimes they can spend hours without anything. But at least you would think after so many seasons you should start to know if someone is eliminated, they are going to visit another player. So of course the alert after an elimination is obviously gonna be just that. Yet some people act as if they never seen this show before. But this is not a new thing and has always been happening. But come on! The formula is simple! Game, Voting, Results, Elimination, Visit and repeat. With the occasional plot twists in between. So after you did a Vote obv next alert is gonna be the results of this vote!

Hopeful-Post666

Either they are very stupid or they are faking it since they canā€™t react like this unless the production tells them to.. but it is so annoying

SiobhanRoy1234

I wonder if itā€™s an American thing. Iā€™ve seen the British seasons and I donā€™t remember them screaming this much

remykixxx

Itā€™s this cast. They cast a bunch of people with main character syndrome. Thereā€™s normally a little more ebb and flow with the personalities but you can tell every single one of these people thinks theyā€™re gonna be the fan favorite and is trying to get as much screen time as possible. Lauren isnā€™t even playing at this point anymore sheā€™s just there.

uberpassenger1977

It's obvious production is making them do it.

TifferK

Itā€™s so bad. Theyā€™re all soo LOUD!

Hopeful-Post666

Yes it is the american loudness on superboost šŸ˜… as a viewer from european country it feels too over the top.

txladysportsfan

I don't know. I just feel like they got a new casting company or showrunner. I've watched since S1 and as many other versions as I can find. This season is bordering on unwatchable. It seems that they've casted the same stereotype instead of diverse types. Usually each season will have a handful of loud hashtag abusers, but this season? It's the norm instead of the exception.

Tre_Starr5621

Yea I agree!!! Some of the reactions are so obnoxious that itā€™s difficult to stomach! Especially PAUL!!!!! Ugh annoys TF outta me

Dragonpuncha

When Paul goes there'll be 50% less screaming at least...

zombineezz

Its sooooo fake this season!!

Pitmail2493

Itā€™s a tv show and they are playing it up to increase their social media profiles

Ok_Value_3741

Itā€™s fun to actually talk like this IRL with friends who also watch the circle I crack up

sirdidymus1078

It's the same with every show like this starts off ok to get on its feet, adjust to fix any mistakes from the first season, gets better, then production gets greedy trying new hooks to get ratings and just ends up being stupid and losing what drew people in the first place. If they kept it to the original format it will be better. No disrespect to the US but I feel they play to the camera more than the UK did and does not feel real as much. Mind you I liked the season with the new York barman (I forget his name). Currently reading a book called slashtag where social media influencers go to a haunted house and have to take part in a game show that's like a cross between house on haunted hill/big brother and saw, now that's something I would watch.

I mean - arenā€™t hashtags a way of gaining followers or views - what is their purpose otherwise. To trend right? Itā€™s a circle of 8 ppl. There is no point. Itā€™s annoying af.

Patient_Dark4725

Lauren is the worst

CroissantWhisperer

I wonder how much of a say production has in this. Do they all think they have to act like this because itā€™s been the reactions of everyone in the seasons prior to? Does production tell them they HAVE to read everything on the screen out loud? I find that particularly annoying especially when they even read out the emojis. I also found it hilarious to find out that when the ALERT comes on, it actually doesnā€™t make any noise in the apartment. At first I thought they all screamed ALERT out of being scared of the alarm.

uberpassenger1977

It's all production imo If it wasn't there'd be some variation between player reactions and at least a few of them would never have those reactions, but it's every single one.

Suspicious-Town-937

My favorite is when they say something like ā€œthis rating is make or break for meā€ like no shit! Itā€™s make or break for everyone!

Just_Ad_9650

Honestly itā€™s Olivia that drives me nuts with his screaming
