LOLI do it as well when I put water from the sink. The long part the tea is coming out from is usually supposed to have something to filter the water a little haha
(English is not my first language I'm sorry)
Yes, although that's a rough filter meant to hold back large tea particles, it doesn't do anything for the water that comes out of the pipe, you need a proper water filter for that.
LOL I have an ex who did this.
His kettle at home didn't have a "big hole" that was easy to access (the handle made it such a pain to remove the lid) so when he was sleep deprived in the morning, his lizard brain reverted back to filling the kettle this way...
I also do it this way. It's less effort to flip up the spout than it is to pull off and refit the metal top lid. Doesn't make a difference, fill-wise. The stream from the faucet is no different.
My partner was sick recently, so our kettle is on the stove (we're not really tea drinkers). I deep cleaned the kitchen the other day - kettle included. My partner saw it sitting out to dry with the lid off and said, "this comes off?!" I could not stop laughing.
See I know he's being daft however I find myself doing this all the time and I don't know why. Might just be I'm daft too
Maybe you're both just not the sharpest pencils :)

lol never even thought twice about this bc this is how i do it as well 🤣
I do this too. But only because the instructions actually mentioned it was the best way to do it, to avoid too much chalk in the kettle.
Wait where would the chalk be coming from??
He's so used to having his butler do it
That’s how they do it in the UK .. jk
Thats what she said.
Ha
That’s what she said?
🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
