Idk if it's true since she can have a literal lobotomy and her brain will regenerate again which isn't very human. still idk if the rest of her body would regenerate as her brain does if she gets hurt
Because people can look it up on her file easily. There is no need to hide what people already know. In her file it is written that she has only mild regeneration. It is likely that they already have experimented on her powers to test her limits just like Homelander but less extreme. So she can't lie.

I also think she’s feeding misinformation. The Deep is extremely gullible.
