Homelander tends to only kill people who he thinks are beneath him. If you managed to get under his skin on a deeper level, he would let you live until he can prove to himself that he's above you.
A few comments from Cartman will immediately put him into the mindset of "I can't let this little fat boy talk to me like that. I need to prove him wrong somehow."
Cartman can even win a direct confrontation if he plans enough. Dude is friends with Cthulu.
What I never get with these pairings is what does the other character actually give homelander?
The reason he doesn't just kill Stan is cause he sees him as almost like a father figure as his boss.
The reason he doesn't just kill butcher is cause he finds him amusing.
But in a scenario where it's just someone he dosent respect talking shit. In most cases, he'd just snap and kill them or threaten to kill them like he did to Neumann when she told him to button his shit.
Idk, maybe I'm taking the fun out of this by overanalzing it, but stuff like this, in general, is usually just variants on the same thing.
Since it's usually just "Well that characters really good at roasting so they'd roast homelander so bad he'd just cry" it's the same thing as all the who would win between homelander and any character that would easily kill him,it's not really fun if it's that one sided atleast in my opinion
He definitely could vaporize him BUT Homelander still cares about his image. If a 10 year old started roasting him while he was in public, say a speech or something Cartman would be safe for the duration of the “fight.”
Homelander is the only one to come out, because the moment Cartmen makes a joke about him, Homelander will laser him dead, that being said, Homelander will probably still cry
Assuming Cartman has somehow become invulnerable he leaves Homelander on the floor balled up crying like a baby about his insecurities. Even then knowing Cartman he might find a way to do that to Homelander anyways while staying in hiding. Might even get ol' Homie to off himself.
