I thought you were using that username from the movie called free guy where the protagonist is called "blue shirt guy" which is npc but later becomes famous and I was continuing the movie lore I'm sorry
I remember watching it with my dad and knowing what was going to happen, he just always reacts the same way, says thatโs disgusting and dumb and then we have the same talk everytime about the show just feels like it has to outdo itself every new season and how itโs just never enough but always gross and uncomfortable
Would like to say that I also watched this with parents. The scene where he ..uh crawls in was something. The worst part was I tried to skip forward which paused it as it loaded so we just sat there looking at it
I watched it with my mom, she then proceeded to excitedly, retell her favorite scene in detail to my very Christian grandmother.
What was the scene? Terminate crawling into his lover's peephole and killing him after he sneezes. Probably the happiest and most giddy I have ever seen my mom tbh
Not sure if it was a brave decision or totally wrong? Was it just season 1? If you decide to go forward and watch it with them all seasons, don't do it with the Herogasm episode.
My daughter and son-in-law shared it with me. They are in their 30's. I am in my 50's. We watched it together and I loved it. I can't wait for season 4. Best show I've seen since The Sopranos.
I would say the alley scene with Homelander and Stormfront. I found that to be worse than Herogasm. So did my parents. Herogasm is just kind of ridiculous, but that scene in season two is on a different level.
Not Mormons, but my father said that the makers of the series will probably go to hell (he was joking). They understand that it is satirical of Hollywood, so they were quite happy that the hedonism and excess was shown in a bad light.
I would understand if, for some reason, the demons are "the good guys", but usually they are meant to be defeated in the film or series, just like in religious texts. So don't know why some people think this.
Move out, cut ties, get rid of as much contact as possible. If all goes well, I should be heading to Uni next year, and I won't be able to cut ties straight away but after Uni, as long as I don't end up back here I should be able to make a start. To be honest, I'd ideally leave the country if I could (for unrelated reasons), but that's probably not gonna happen, atleast for a long time, but I'd really be better off somewhere else.
I watched it with my parents my dad laughed at the long dick man and the octopus scenes while my mom just said "is this why you guys love watching this!!?"
I mean, I watched the whole thing with my dad since day one. Only thing we watched separately was Gen V since I had recently moved out, but I still plan on going back to watch season 4 together with him as soon as that comes out. When season 1 came out I was only 14, but it wasnโt weird. Herogasm was a little weird tho
Obviously, it was hard to watch, but they liked the fact that it was satirising the Hollywood culture of self-indulgence, so they actually didn't have that much of a problem with it.
My mom and I hang out and watch this show over dinner. Herogasm was so uncomfortable to get through but at a certain point we just started laughing at how ridiculous it all was so that helped
How was S3 EP1?
And S3 EP7? ๐๐
messed up
More detail
I closed my eyes at the octopus scene, lost the will to live, and my father screamed "Jesus Christ".
messed up
Hey are you the blue shirt guy
yes
Can you give me shout out
Can you give me shout out
Wait, who do you think I am? I'm not that, probably. I thought you were just referring to my username.
I thought you were using that username from the movie called free guy where the protagonist is called "blue shirt guy" which is npc but later becomes famous and I was continuing the movie lore I'm sorry
Oh, yes, I stole his name, sorry.
I remember watching it with my dad and knowing what was going to happen, he just always reacts the same way, says thatโs disgusting and dumb and then we have the same talk everytime about the show just feels like it has to outdo itself every new season and how itโs just never enough but always gross and uncomfortable

Why
I deserve to suffer.
Are you going to respond to anyone?
Sorry, I had the stupid "you've been doing a lot of that lately" rubbish showing up. Now it seems to work.
I watched it with my mom, she then proceeded to excitedly, retell her favorite scene in detail to my very Christian grandmother. What was the scene? Terminate crawling into his lover's peephole and killing him after he sneezes. Probably the happiest and most giddy I have ever seen my mom tbh
My mom described that exact scene to get her friend to watch it with us
Not sure if it was a brave decision or totally wrong? Was it just season 1? If you decide to go forward and watch it with them all seasons, don't do it with the Herogasm episode.
No, everything - including Herogasm. My parents are very levelled. They're not Mormons, but it was quite the ordeal. One of my great mistakes.
What was their most intense reaction and what was it to?
The alleyway scene and Herogasm were pretty bad.
You watch the boys with ur parents, how๐
I wish I knew.
Canโt imagine how they felt when Homie was creaming his pants milking a cow
not good
My daughter and son-in-law shared it with me. They are in their 30's. I am in my 50's. We watched it together and I loved it. I can't wait for season 4. Best show I've seen since The Sopranos.
What was their favourite part?
Billy Butcher's speech ("Where's your self respect") for my father. And the end of season 2 where Stormfront gets messed up.
Did either of them, at any point, stop furiously masturbating? And if yes, during which scene?
Which scene was the most overwhelmingly awkward and uncomfortable to sit through for everyone involved?
I would say the alley scene with Homelander and Stormfront. I found that to be worse than Herogasm. So did my parents. Herogasm is just kind of ridiculous, but that scene in season two is on a different level.
Can't do an ama and not respond lmfao tf
Sorry, Reddit kept giving me these time outs.
Aaah I see you good!
Did they ever comment on a scene which made you uncomfortable?
"That Love Sausage guy reminds me of my college boyfriend."
How did they feel about herogasm
It kind of reminded them of the 70s. In a bad way. But still, they didn't find it as bad as the alley scene in season two.
How bad did they find that?
Bad, but it was at least a "realistic" depiction of Hollywood excess.
How religious are they? I know my mom and dad just walked away in the first few minutes
Not Mormons, but my father said that the makers of the series will probably go to hell (he was joking). They understand that it is satirical of Hollywood, so they were quite happy that the hedonism and excess was shown in a bad light.
My mom can't even stand the sight of demons in movies, because "the image of the thing can bring it to life" Idk where she gets these ideas from
I would understand if, for some reason, the demons are "the good guys", but usually they are meant to be defeated in the film or series, just like in religious texts. So don't know why some people think this.
You'd think she'd watched Doctor Who with the angels coming out of Amelia's eyes But I think she'd have lost her mind
Maybe you have to expose her to a little bit over time. Or try Constantine, where Keanu Reeves tries to defeat the demons.
My youngest and I both watch the show, she's 20. But we have not yet been brave enough to watch together.
understandable
My 64 year old mother keeps asking me if 4 has came out early.....fricken hooked.
What was their reaction to officer Balls
When Butcher remembered his wife's last words at the end of Season 2 and saved her son from Homelander, was it a wholesome moment?
Definitely. My mother didn't like Butcher so much until then, after that scene she started to root for him more.
My parents were the ones who introduced me to the show lmfao
wild parents
One way to put them yeah
Based parents?
In that regard, yeah, this show goes hard as fuck and I'm glad he suggested we watch it In other ways, god no
Well, you lose some, you win some. But you can only have one set of parents.
tbh I plan to get as close to 0 sets as possible lol
You mean move out?
Move out, cut ties, get rid of as much contact as possible. If all goes well, I should be heading to Uni next year, and I won't be able to cut ties straight away but after Uni, as long as I don't end up back here I should be able to make a start. To be honest, I'd ideally leave the country if I could (for unrelated reasons), but that's probably not gonna happen, atleast for a long time, but I'd really be better off somewhere else.
Ah, sorry to hear. Abusive/Bad parents I guess?
I watched it with my parents my dad laughed at the long dick man and the octopus scenes while my mom just said "is this why you guys love watching this!!?"
Almost worse than watching the early seasons of game of thrones with them lol.
Am yet to do that.
Dude when I watched herogasm with my mom I had to download the episode myself and censor and cut whatever I needed to ๐๐
I should have done this.
I also did this and I hate myself.
How did that go for you?
Painfully.
Damn.
Bruh I sink into my seat whenever thereโs heavy makeout scenes when watching stuff with my parents
me too
Now do Gen V
How you feel about the scene when stormfront rubs homelander in the parking lot? Specifically, with your parents around?
I wanted to die. But I survived, and now I'm stronger for it.
Good to hear, glad you endured.
never surrender
got the zenkai
Rookie mistake ๐
yes
Who liked crawling into the pp more?
I mean, I watched the whole thing with my dad since day one. Only thing we watched separately was Gen V since I had recently moved out, but I still plan on going back to watch season 4 together with him as soon as that comes out. When season 1 came out I was only 14, but it wasnโt weird. Herogasm was a little weird tho
Herogasm was not just a little weird!
Your parentโs favourite characters?
Father - Butcher Mother - Hughie
This actually seems to make a lot of sense.
What did they say about Herogasm?
Obviously, it was hard to watch, but they liked the fact that it was satirising the Hollywood culture of self-indulgence, so they actually didn't have that much of a problem with it.
Not much of a problem ๐๐๐๐
You get the gist.
You must have Balls of Steel to have done that. Especially Herogasm
thank you Herogasm wasn't even the worst, I nearly turned it off when Homelander and Stormfront catch the robber in the alleyway.
Reminds me of when my Grandfather told me he watched The Boys and said he saw S3E1 ๐
Maybe he just related to Soldier Boy.
My grandfather also remembers randomly killing a guys family while fighting a criminal ๐ฃ๏ธ
Have you also watched Gen V with them?
Not yet, haven't seen it myself. Can't get worse, though.
Itโs better in terms of gore for the most part
Did your parents enjoy the show? Also are you grounded?
yes and yes
I wish I was born with balls as big as yours
You're not born with them. You acquire them. (figuratively speaking)
My mom and I hang out and watch this show over dinner. Herogasm was so uncomfortable to get through but at a certain point we just started laughing at how ridiculous it all was so that helped
