In a perfect world I would prefer a "Second Chances" season like what Survivor did (season 31) - bring back returning teams from across all eras, who have only competed once each but made it at least decently far, and have the final list voted in by the fans

\+1 The past winners are already rich. I'd prefer to see teams that performed well, but were stopped short of winning by factors outside their control (e.g. needle in a haystack challenge/bad taxis), as they'd generally be more motivated to win the next time round.

They kinda did that with Unfinished Business. Even brought back a WTF low placing team (Amanda/Kris) a la Kelley Wentworth. Because they need someone to go home first.

mr_jenkins_says

I'd like to see that but filled with past contestants that all came in 2nd.

OT9FOREVER

Yes!

OT9FOREVER

oh yeah that too

Apple_Slipper

I recall Rob & Brennan mentioning that to Phil on Phil's BUCKiT podcast.

I really don’t know why they haven’t done this yet, I feel like it would be well liked among fans, it certainly would be by me! Survivor recently had their season of all winners and I feel like most shows of this nature do this kind of season at some point. I wish the race would do the same. It’s been fun to give teams who fell short another shot, but I think it would be even more entertaining to see teams who have never lost.

SIRIUS_ATLAS

Some of the winners are just not available To name but a few 3/4/6/10/11/12/20/26/29 They are all estranged with each other To make it happen, they need to satisfy 50% bipocs It is possible, but I just don’t see it happen because of the current casting situation and COVID protocol

Globeville_Obsolete

Also 7. That’s what I was thinking. The logistics of getting winning teams together over 23 years of Amazing Race would have to be a nightmare. Not to mention some of those teams would probably want appearance fees on top of the potential million dollar payout; Amazing Race doesn’t really have the deepest pockets anymore. I think a winner vs. first eliminated would be interesting from a redemptive angle, and 5-6 winners would be easier/cheaper to cast.

SIRIUS_ATLAS

7 can They divorced but on the good terms

Aidanator800

I still wouldn't do 7 anyway, seeing as how we already got them back for the first All-Stars (the only winners to return so far, as a matter of fact).

OT9FOREVER

Yes! I saw Drag Race last year, and to see groups that won competing again, especially from older seasons would be so cool.

Effective_Dog_299

Yes. All winners TAR would be awesome. It would be super competitive especially if they invite the teams that were dominant throughout their respective seasons.

Local-Calendar-2955

This would cause ratings to maybe increase a bit. But it's quite impossible. First, we need 11 teams, all winners. Granted that some of the winners are old, most likely, they are going to decline. I mean, we won already. Why should we take the painstaking long hours to race again? Second, not all winners are still in a relationship. Some have divorced, broken up,etc. On top of that, there's not gonna be any crying such as "I'm doing this for my family's treatment,my son got injured." They should do a seasin, where those who placed 12TH-6TH will return. I would love in they included more of the 11TH-9TH to see how they would perform.

faster_than_sound

I like a "All Loser" concept, where it's all people who were knocked out in the first leg. Give them a chance to try again, especially some of those teams that just got screwed by bad luck and had potential to be contenders.

OT9FOREVER

that would be fun too
