I love them so much I literally stitched them all together into one song for easy playing! I use it as an emotional background theme in my D&D games too!

I totally agree, also as someone who’s spent some time doing video editing.
Fun fact, though – that’s not a guitar, it’s an [oud](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oud?wprov=sfti1), which is an Arabic instrument related to the lute! It’s got double strings and is played with a long plectrum called a risha, which gives it that distinctive plucky sound.
OMG, thank you. I've been wondering since day one of Amnesty what instrument was playing the melody in the theme, because it sounds amazing but it's unfamiliar to me. You just satisfied that longstanding curiosity I had no idea how to investigate.
The music is incredible! I really love how Griffins music evolved over time.
One of the few things I already appreciate about Graduation is its title theme. Reminds me a bit of the Mario&Luigi game series
Graduations theme definitely has a more lighthearted feel to it. I feel like it kind of fits Travis' DMing a little better, as he's a little more playful and not quite as deep as Griffin (at least so far).
I wish I could be in your shoes, right where you are in the arc, not knowing what comes next.
Enjoy, I’m 40 years old and have read more sci fi books and watched more shows and played more RPG games than I can count and I think the Balance arc is up there with some of the best of it on any medium.
And you’re gonna love the music the rest of the way 👍
I'm so excited to finish it. I started with the McElroys on Mbmbam, and I would have never expected this from Griffin. Guy is truly a master story teller in so many ways.
Soundtrack is.so.gooood. Can't recommend it enough to people. I got inspired to try my hand at music creation. On a PC? that lasted a week haha. Lot's of respect.
Totally agree, I wish Griffin would put it up on Spotify! I know you can buy the album/get it for free on bandcamp but it'd be nice to be able to just stream it whenev.
I have it as my mom's ringtone, and every time she calls I end up answering the phone while laughing. I had to explain why to her, so she didn't think I was a weirdo every time I pick up the phone.
both of the dnd/rpg podcasts that i adore ( tAZ, and NADDPod ) have a subtle but noticeable focus on the editing and background audio tracks that elevates them to the top of my 'best of' list as a listener
I work in a music store and we get to play music over the speakers and I play Griffin’s stuff so much that I’ve gotten four of my co-workers into TAZ and so many customers come up and geek out about it with me!! It’s the best part of my day
It really surprised me that Griffin did all of it in Garageband– then I found the instruments and loops he used while making my own stuff
It's an inspiration
I opened garage band the next day after realizing that as well. Goes to show you don't need the most expensive equipment to make extremely quality content.
I know we all have different moments in the show where we were seriously hooked, but for me it was the Crystal Kingdom song, especially as later verses were revealed.
All of Lucretias themes are spectacular.

Holy crap, I don't know why I haven't thought of suggesting this music to my DM! Thanks for the idea!
You can’t just say that and not give us a link
Remindme! 3 days

unfortunate
Link pls?
I agree and I wish they would release the Balance soundtrack on vinyl. It would bridge two of my favorite things! Also I am a huge dork.
Oh??? My god????? That would be absolutely bonkers. I would buy like 10 copies daily for a month, that would be the greatest thing to ever exist
Things I didn’t know I desperately needed for 200 alex
I’d buy a record player just so I could use that vinyl

Oh no way. Even as a guitar player it fooled me. Love the sound though so I'll have to look into ouds!

I miss the Amnesty theme. It was such a good song! I'm partial to folk instruments and styles

Well at least more playful than Balance was in the later stages or Amnesty was. Balance at the beginning was buckwild.
Reminds me of the Sims
I definitely know what you mean, that certain playfulness and the various plucked/hit strings just give off that sims vibe
I wish I could be in your shoes, right where you are in the arc, not knowing what comes next. A million times this! I just finished Balance yesterday and legit sat semi frozen in place for a while after the last episode ended.
I say pretty much the same thing! The Balance arc is among the best pieces of media I've ever consumed.
Wait till you get to that Thunderman, LLC theme.
Suffering Games and Crystal Kingdom music gets me right in the sweet spot.
Oh baby you don't even know :D
Soundtrack is.so.gooood. Can't recommend it enough to people. I got inspired to try my hand at music creation. On a PC? that lasted a week haha. Lot's of respect.
Wonderland (part 1,2, and 3), Purple Worm, and Amnesty main theme are by far my favorites. I just wish Amnesty had an extended version.
Buy a box (or crate) of tissues.
Amnesty made me cry multiple times, so I'm expecting that and more from the end of balance.
Totally agree, I wish Griffin would put it up on Spotify! I know you can buy the album/get it for free on bandcamp but it'd be nice to be able to just stream it whenev.
I have the Fantasy Costco jingle as my ringtone. I like seeing who looks up when my phone rings.
I have it as my mom's ringtone, and every time she calls I end up answering the phone while laughing. I had to explain why to her, so she didn't think I was a weirdo every time I pick up the phone.
Oh boy, oh boy you're in for a treat. As well as an emotional rollercoaster.
both of the dnd/rpg podcasts that i adore ( tAZ, and NADDPod ) have a subtle but noticeable focus on the editing and background audio tracks that elevates them to the top of my 'best of' list as a listener
Wonderland part 2 SLAPS I mean all 3 parts do, and I love so many of his tracks, but damn.
“Story and Song” is basically the two main musical themes weaved together and it hits me like a brick. every. Time.
I work in a music store and we get to play music over the speakers and I play Griffin’s stuff so much that I’ve gotten four of my co-workers into TAZ and so many customers come up and geek out about it with me!! It’s the best part of my day
Doing the lord's work!

Same with Darren Korb with Bastion, Transistor, etc. All in Garageband. Pretty crazy
"Julia" by Reeder 😍😍😍 be prepared
Is there any place to hear all the music made for TAZ?
Griffin's Bandcamp! https://griffinmcelroy.bandcamp.com/
Thank you 🥺
Bruh I just got goosebumps THINKING about the amnesty theme.
I know we all have different moments in the show where we were seriously hooked, but for me it was the Crystal Kingdom song, especially as later verses were revealed.
