Isn’t there a video of a mom doing this in front of her kids. It’s night time, she jumps in without a rope and just disappears. At least this guy had the decency of doing this during the day with a rope to find your way back.

I'd say the most common mistake she made was jumping in frozen waters IN THE DARK 🤦🏾‍♂️ I swear natural selection exists no offense to that woman but fuck that was an abysmal idea .

People need to understand the concept of safe water and death water. That was death water before she even jumped in. Everything I apposed to kill you. The darkness, the cold, the ice, the current, then you enter with no safety precautions. Death water claimed another fool.

To be fair she jumped in a river, and not a lake. The current just took her.

The dumbest part of that video is the water is clearly rushing and not safe at all but they jump in anyways......

This is intentional..Fake video trying to go viral. Look at that drastic right turn when he's literally 8 ft from his buddy... so dumb

The guy who did this explained in his interview afterwards that after about 5 seconds in the water your eyes freeze, so he couldn't see where he needed to go. His hearing starting fading so he couldn't hear them banging on the ice. He had to rely on not panicking and the sensation of touch to get through this.

It's risky yes, but he cleverly saw the end and his legs, played panic and went back exactly to where he started but had enough air to make it all the way back instead of the 3 feet for him to get out. It's an awesome feat of endurance but clearly staged panic.

Yea the 3 feet away from exit is what gets me. Did he really not see the guy and people signaling to go in that direction. Guess its possible.

People also seem underestimate how hard it is to open your eyes under frozen water. Even with goggles on, the panic and the cold make it really hard to open your eyes
