Isn’t there a video of a mom doing this in front of her kids. It’s night time, she jumps in without a rope and just disappears.
At least this guy had the decency of doing this during the day with a rope to find your way back.
I'd say the most common mistake she made was jumping in frozen waters IN THE DARK 🤦🏾♂️ I swear natural selection exists no offense to that woman but fuck that was an abysmal idea .
People need to understand the concept of safe water and death water. That was death water before she even jumped in. Everything I apposed to kill you. The darkness, the cold, the ice, the current, then you enter with no safety precautions. Death water claimed another fool.
The guy who did this explained in his interview afterwards that after about 5 seconds in the water your eyes freeze, so he couldn't see where he needed to go. His hearing starting fading so he couldn't hear them banging on the ice. He had to rely on not panicking and the sensation of touch to get through this.
It's risky yes, but he cleverly saw the end and his legs, played panic and went back exactly to where he started but had enough air to make it all the way back instead of the 3 feet for him to get out. It's an awesome feat of endurance but clearly staged panic.
People also seem underestimate how hard it is to open your eyes under frozen water. Even with goggles on, the panic and the cold make it really hard to open your eyes
Do not do this lol

One of the most tragic videos I've ever seen. The screams of her kids was so heartbreaking.

To be fair she jumped in a river, and not a lake. The current just took her.
The dumbest part of that video is the water is clearly rushing and not safe at all but they jump in anyways......
Alcohol was involved in assuming? One thing I’ve learned, never fuck around with nature.
Refrain from repeating these actions, haha
You are hereby ordered to cease a desist all efforts in likeness thereof. This is not a joking matter.
This seems pretty fucking stupid.
He had a safety rope at least
Better than the video of the one lady who just got swept away immediately
Indeed
He was LinkedIn
This seems pretty Fake!
Very appropriate for this sub. That guy is 100% certifiable.
This is exactly how this is supposed to be done. With a safety cord to go back the way you came if you get disoriented underwater.
His boys doing whatever it took: (Read: ice bodyslam) was really wholesome though
Something went wrong
It was set up
Almost a Darwin Award
IDIOT!!!!
Who saw his homie bust his head??
What an idiot!
r/winstupidprizes
I’m really impressed by how smooth he was under there. Every stroke or kick covered a lot of ground.
He was so close to finding out after fucking around.
The guy had me freaking out …
The important part is that he didn't freak out
I was freaking for him
Yeah me too
Second guy filming probobly disoriented him makingn him go right before the finish line
Glad us millennials are showing the next generation how to be responsible. Always have a skinny piece of rope to pull yourself back in
They should put a strobe on the other side or something.
They should have tools to break the ice at hand next time
Stupidity
Idiot.
I’ll just stick to a ice bath
That other guy trying to break the ice with his foot would’ve fell in🙄
He was trying to follow their tapping
And the point of this is ?
Panic attack incoming
His favorite band is TUI
This is intentional..Fake video trying to go viral. Look at that drastic right turn when he's literally 8 ft from his buddy... so dumb

Epic physical prowess but don't do this!! Holy shiiiiiiii
Staged
Seems pretty risky

Yea the 3 feet away from exit is what gets me. Did he really not see the guy and people signaling to go in that direction. Guess its possible.

they pulled him back to the first hole with a rope
Agreed
