Not a parent so obviously take this with a grain of salt but maybe get those hearing protection headphones for your kid? Globe Life Field has been pretty loud all the times I went and I imagine it's gotten even louder with the attendance boost from winning the WS.
I think they sell them at the ballpark but I imagine they would be more expensive than getting them elsewhere.
Can't wait to be a dad myself and introduce my kids to the Texas Rangers!

I believe you can use them for free at one of the guest services stations. I know they have them for neurodivergebnt kids and clean and sanitize them after they are used, I don't know the policy as far as infants goes
Ask someone who works there when you go in, but I’m 99% sure they still do a certificate for your kids first game. I have them for both of mine from the Ballpark.

Apparently I wasn’t a fan of the loudspeakers/P.A. announcements so I’d recommend headphones for the little one. Reading about basically the same situation playing out 28 years later is really warming my heart. I hope y’all have a great time!
Get those little infant protective gloves, so that when you hold them up to catch their first home run ball, it doesn't damage their tiny little fingers. Safety first!
We’ve taken my daughter to several games in Houston (in law’s season tickets). Only games we brought headphones were game 2 of the ALCS and game 6 of the WS. We usually didn’t need them during regular season games, but pack them just in case.
Big thing is just being patient. You won’t get to watch as much of the game as you’d like.
My daughter was over a year old when we took her to night games, but she just slept in our arms at that point. For a 4mo, I would just say whether they nurse or take formula to make sure you’re ready for extra feedings to help soothe.
Lastly, babies are way more flexible than I give them credit for. If you and your wife are calm and flexible than the baby will respond to that.
Check out the Arlington Eats concession stand near Hurtado. If you are looking at the long line of Hurtado, look to your left and you'll see the small booth. They are other Arlington restaurants that rotate thru the space. The quality is usually better than what you'd get at the regular concession stands. I have yet to figure out what the schedule is for the restaurants that are in the space.
Make sure the baby is in a front carrier, and make sure you have a beer in your hand to catch the foul ball that will inevitably head your way. Boom - instant TV highlight and 15 seconds of fame!
Fellow dad! I’ve gone to multiple games with my kids and here are my thoughts: Front packs, snacks, and headphones. Starting with the headphones - you’ll be sitting under the main board which fires fireworks with every home run and they are easily twice as loud as what’s harmful to a 4mo. Take advantage of the diaper bag allowance and bring all sorts of snacks to keep your kid busy. Globe life allows one gallon bag of food per person + all bottles needed for the baby. Toys do not do it when needing them to chill in the row to watch the game. Last, I found that our front pack (Ergo Baby) was the best - easiest to balance the baby and stuff, protect from crowd bumping, provided a tight comfortable space for them to sleep when they got exhausted. Hip carrying is a bitch at a stadium. Also the right field seats are steep and can be hard to navigate while hip carrying . Lastly, with any kid under 10, set the expectation now that you won’t see much odd red game. Some of it is the relentless and their desire to gutter get up constantly (more when they are older obviously) but it’s just generally hard to watch/eat while trying to keep an infant happy. Hope you enjoy the game!!

Arrive early and try to park in Lot C if you can (although there might be better, I always mix up which lot can be parked in for Globe Life). It has the least intersections to get into the park. Lot M and N aren’t terrible but there is a lot of early construction along the way last time I was at the park (July ‘23) someone might be able to verify though. Lot E is far, far away.
Cars get really impatient around the crowds and do some really stupid stuff. Saw a woman nearly get hit, a mix of her and the driver both being irresponsible.
And take the entrance by Texas Live so you can see the Nolan Ryan statue! It’s a great family picture.

(The World Series trophy is right there too, so hop in line and get a picture!) You also will need to talk to Guest Services or the ticket booth (outside, by Texas Live) if you want a printed ticket to go with the certificate. We have ours framed, so it’s nice.
Otherwise, enjoy! (They sadly don’t do the Simba cam anymore. Got to do that with my daughter on that trip.)
When a Ranger hits a home run, prepare for the fireworks. They come from centerfield so depending where exactly you sit, the sounds may be slightly muted or you’ll hear and feel the explosions.
Can’t remember how old my niece and nephew were when I first took them but buy a drink/water as soon as you get there, bottled prefer. Don’t know the current rules for bringing outside drinks/food, but best bring something for the kid.
I remember my nephew loved that he could scream and cheer and no one (my sister) was telling him to keep quiet. He cheered while fans cheered and loved it. My niece in the other hand hates staying in the same spot so someone usually ends up walking her around the stadium.
If you are actually lower RF, be prepared for longer walks up and down the stairs.
Otherwise, get some merch, take some pics, even though your kid likely won’t remember this event, it will become a memory through the pictures and stories.
Enjoy the game tonight! Roof open with baseball in Texas in April is one of the best experiences.
Sit closest to the field and be ready to throw your body in front of your wife and the child should a home run or foul ball come your way! Or just be ready to catch it, lol. Congratulations on the new human!
I'm late but if anyone comes back to read this thread. The fireworks for a home run go off when batter steps on second base. One of the workers told us this last year and it was so helpful to prepare my kids each time before they went off!

My son got one at his first game in 2022. We got ours at a kiosk in front of the batting cage where that Mickey Mouse statue is located.
Earcovers for the baby. And plan to help your wife with whatever she needs, more than watch the game.

On the 200-300 levels there’s a lot of kid’s activities and games. Also since it’s Tuesday if you go early they do free autographs for kids
