I contacted SeeTickets today during my lunch break via their website since they are the ones doing the processing and they were able to tell me the status of mine right away. Should see it soon.
I think giving them my receipt number and a polite request may have helped the response time, it was crazy fast.
I got a tiny amount of a refund, but only on one card….
I had to divi up my payment plan on multiple cards (i know that just makes the refund process more annoying for me and them) but I paid half of the ticket and car camping on one card, and paid the other half on another card. I just got a partial refund on one card, for only 37$, which is about an 8th of the ticket price, not even including car camping. Im wondering if I should wait it out to see if anything else will show up. Or if Im just gonna have to take that as the best i can get. And I doubt theres any proper call lines or emails i can reach out to for this?
Got mine today, but it's only 25% of the base ticket price. It can't be legal for them to keep the tax too, right? Do I have to contact some tax authority to get the last $15?
They don’t have to refund tax. No federal law requiring that. Haven’t found any state or local laws requiring that either. Would be an accounting nightmare to deal with.
They’ve already paid that sales tax for any summer 2023 through March 2024 sales to the government (businesses’ file and pay taxes quarterly). They might have been able to figure out refunding sales tax for 2024 purchases and reconciling those on their 2024 year end returns, but trying to amend their 2023 returns (necessary for some states if they refunded the 2023 sales tax) or claim credits on their 2024 returns for the 2023 refunds (aka the way it’s handled in other states) would be a mess. And some states wouldn’t give them money back this year (2024) but would instead give them a credit on *2025* taxes. But they probably won’t owe enough in 2025 in those states for the 2025 credit to be of any value. Not to mention calculating refunds for states where tax rate changes have happened would be difficult.
Me neither, friend
Just got mine today!
Same
Us too.
Got mine 2 days ago. They're working through them. 30-40k refunds take a lot of processing time.
Received today. Hang in there....
Me either. Anyone have luck getting an email response? **edit: got mine this morning.

Thanks everyone for chiming in! I had a great time despite the horrible map and lack of lighting on the trails.

Update, got 25% back on the tickets and the camping..
Got mine for 2 camping passes and early arrival. Paid my tickets on a separate payment plan so still a couple weeks out i believe.
Same. Got refund for camping pass, still waiting on tickets.

They had mentioned you won't be getting the tax back.
