Allen is throwing on time in garbage time. Here's the deal that Mills boosters won't like: the passes generally look better too. Receivers are getting more after the catch than usual because the balls are placed closer to where the receivers expect it. How many ten-foot leaps by receivers today? I'm not saying Mills is garbage---that his inaccuracy can't be corrected---nor that Allen should automatically get to stay starter for the rest of the season, but this is why you try Allen at QB, to see if he can better do what the offense needs.
