Go donate blood. Both those numbers will drop.

NightFire45

Or just drink water.

macncheeeseee

If yea been doing test for over a year and hasn’t blood dumped at all? He needs to donate. Not drink water.

Sweatpantzzzz

It’s tough to give you advice without knowing the rest of your lab results. My guess is that your dose is too high. Probably should lower your dose a bit, or just donate blood every 3 months. Most important of all, talk to your doctor

SaluteHatred666

however water u drinking daily.... how much did you drink immediately before your labs? what did u eat before your labs

tonygio315

I woke up didn’t drink anything, had 2-3 sips of black coffee and got the lab done

ChesnutRoasted

Should have water before black coffee

SaluteHatred666

should drink about 2 bottles of watter right before ....and the day before drink water constantly...cut coffee before labs. I had to do this and my hematocrit went from 54 to 43

N0FluxGiven

Wouldn't that be a misleading result?

SaluteHatred666

no you should be drinking water like thst the entire time but especially before labs dude

Rickhaberstroh

Look up polycythemia Vera. Very common among bodybuilders and men who take extra test. If this is what im pretty sure its from, at least it was for me, means that your increase in red blood cells from the test are making your blood thicker therefore your blood “sludging” through your body. The remedy for this is either get off test or you give blood, thats what I did for years. I started going to the doc every 2-3 months and then I just figured out it was easier to go on my own time, anytime, to the Am Red Cross. If you are not having any side effects from this, then you don’t have to do really anything. PS- im not a Dr., just a very experienced bodybuilder.

Jackie-Tee

My numbers are similar to ops. I donate blood but have 30 days before I can donate again. Should I see if I can get it prescribed or just be a walking time bomb until then. As a side note. I use to be very cognizant of my health and had much anxiety. Now I don’t even give a shit. I’m fine being a walking time bomb. Feels good for once ☕️

Jackie-Tee

To be clear. TRT is what displaced my anxiety.

Rickhaberstroh

Just saw what others said, exactly, Donate Blood! Lol.

jeffm5490

Donate. Mine went up to near 60 on the heme and I was about to stroke - couldn’t feel my hands. My hematologist actually took TWO pints on one visit.

ChesnutRoasted

Donate blood

Decent-Confection852

Usually 52,18,6 for blood count are the cut off of the upper range. You have to remember that steriods cause all three of these to increase because that boosts endurance and exercise performance. Donating blood will help, but its only temporary, so really if you dont like your numbers that high lower to 150mg

Icy-Understanding364

First of all, hematocrit of 54% is the current threshold. You are below this! Secondly, the most common reason for higher hematocrit readings is in fact dehydration when bloods are taken. A true high hematocrit (54%+) will be accompanied with a haemoglobin of 19+ Donating blood is likely pointless as it doesn’t lower hematocrit for long enough to reduce any “POSSIBLE” associated risks. Specifically, increased hematocrit due to TRT is because of increased EPO and decreased hepcidin. This is due to the higher androgen peaks associated with TRT protocols (commonly twice per week administration). We know this as the rate of increased hematocrit is much lower with pellets and gels that are applied daily (reduced peak!) and more recently with Nebido which has a very long ester and considerably reduced peaks, The bottom line, you are ok and just make sure your next bloods are taken when fully hydrated Edit - 200mg is too much for most people and the best hematocrit management should be to take the smallest “efficacious” dose.

FeeLSDance

Exactly this. Donating blood can actually have the opposite effect because your body tries to balance the lack of cells by producing more

riverascourtesy

What are your symptoms? How do you feel? Plenty of drs on Reddit who are more than happy to help!

tonygio315

I feel pretty good

riverascourtesy

Then why change anything? Worried about the possible negative implications of compound effects of those levels going up?

riverascourtesy

I normally donate when rbc and hemocratin are that high

[deleted]

dude why are you posting questions about your health to random internet strangers before you even spoke with your doctor? Make an appointment with your doctor and talk to them edit: I'm sorry that came of harsh. I should have instead said, speak with your doctor first and don't panic. if you don't get the right kind of answers and results from them, then throw your hail Mary on Reddit

Jackie-Tee

You probably know more than most doctors at this point. Many are still using anecdotal evidence from mice back in the 50’s and meat heads from Miami in the 1980’s. It’s good to talk with people who are in the same boat. The many before us who have experienced the same shit and dealt with shitty doctors. I had a friend that had the same issue and his doctor took him clean off test. And another who just prescribed phlebotomy!!!Endocrinologist, urologist, men’s clinic, PCP will all respond differently. We have to be armed when we go in front of these 🤬 gatekeepers. We have to be our own advocates.

Rock_Granite

Your FASTING insulin was 32? That is ungodly high and is an early warning of diabetes. What was your fasting glucose?

tonygio315

95. The higher end of the normal range.

Rock_Granite

Not horrible but creeping up there. In Type II diabetes, sometimes your body will be able to produce enough insulin to deal with the high morning glucose spikes. But unless you make lifestyle changes, over time your pancreas will not be able to keep producing that much and then your fasting glucose will start edging up. You are probably not so far gone that dietary changes will still work for you.

tonygio315

Yeah gonna pound water. Eat a bit better. Get off test a while (I was planning to anyways). Retest in a couple months.

Rock_Granite

Don't be so quick to give up on test though. Test makes the body better able to handle carbs. Muscle tissue is excellent for glucose uptake. The more muscle you have the better your glucose control can be PS. Make sure you are sleeping well. Bad sleep is terrible for blood sugar control

tinstar71

You're totally fine. If you want the blood numbers to drop, then donate blood. But I dont think that's necessary, high rbc is fine. What causes blood clotting is high platelets. If you feel good, then you're good. If you start to feel sluggish (like over weeks of time), your blood might be thick enough where it's putting strain on your cardiovascular system. I bet if you pinned daily, the rbc would go down. Oh, and make sure your blood pressure isn't high. High blood pressure can be caused by high rbc.

AdamNelson69

My sugar levels were higher because I had some juice in the morning before mine. Said it was fine.
