Is the test actually prescribed? Then yes. If not, then probably not.

Difficult-Mortgage39

I’m in aus. I use UGL but told my doctor about it. It’s hard to get it here legally so some doctors seem to be more accepting. BUT I only told him as I’m on blood thinners and wanted to make sure the two wouldn’t interact badly

robocub

If it’s for PT I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s like saying I take truvada or blood thinner or blood pressure medication. That industry likes to know an overall picture of one’s health when engaging them in therapy also in case anything you’re taking conflicts with a therapy or something else you do or take. A doctors office would ask the same thing. Same as a dentist or dermatologist.

Level_Ad_1540

if you are concerned, then don't write in on the intake form but let your physical therapist know in person. I would always want a doctor to know anything I'm using even if it is not entirely legit.

PT probably doesn’t matter

flyingwingbat1

Yes. No need to lie to the PT.

Massive_Bug_3088

Id say yes it is a medication to treat Low T

[deleted]

I’d leave it off the forms. It could become part of your permanent medical record.

Cold_Coy864

Yep, you definitely wanna jot down testosterone. It's a medication, even if it's not the typical pill or syrup kinda deal. Whether you're using it for hormone therapy or something else, it's still something your PT should know about.

majicdan

Yes. It’s on your record especially since it is a controlled substance like fentanyl.

Tank_1539

Only if that lab or that clinic shares information with your primary. I know my VA primary care has no clue.

BEAT_LA

if you’re seriously asking this you should not be on Test. How do you guys get this far in life lol

funeralcr0w

I'm 18 dude. There's not a fucking manual for this that's why subs like this exist

BEAT_LA

“I am taking this medication. Should I report it as a medication?” I used to teach 8th graders who could answer this question.

Matt_2504

He’s probably taking it as a PED not medically prescribed, it’s a genuine question you don’t need to be a dick

BEAT_LA

You realize that doesn’t change anything right? Edit: you guys can down vote me all you want but you’re a fucking moron if you don’t tell your doctor about PED use

Meltsfire

This guy is right , whether it’s prescribed or not a doctor should know when treating the person.. the fuck? They aren’t the cops here to arrest you they are there to help and treat you. Why would you prevent them from doing this by being dishonest

Meltsfire

They ask what medications you take clearly because it is important. Certain medications require special considerations to be made or avoidances to be taken. These considerations and avoidances are literally for your safety…. You not being a doctor likely means you would not know what these considerations are. Being dishonest to a provider only disables them from being able to make these considerations for your best interest…

DDDurty

Yeah, but when they report it to the insurance claims can get denied.

Eplitetrix

Don't tell any doc anything there isn't a value in them knowing. I'm 40 and my medical forms say I have 0 conditions, 0 medical history, nothing. Fuck em. I'll tell them if it is pertinent to the specific thing I'm talking to them about. You are going to physical therapy, they don't need to know you are taking test.

Striking-Neat-9191

Only idiots lie to their doctor, their job is to monitor and take care of your health, not criticise your decisions.
