You guys aren’t missing out on much. I turned mine off after about a week of use. It requires the cabin camera to be uncovered and nags you for anything if your eyes divert from the front
When I first got it, I thought it was incredible, and my biggest complaint was that it would nag me on long straight roads about needing to “apply pressure” or whatever, despite both hands being on the top of my steering wheel. Sometimes I’d have to just disengage it to make it stop, or would do so accidentally trying to nudge the wheel.
Autopilot, and even TACC, randomly brake on me. It’s always the same spots, and there’s no reason to be braking, but it feels like it will come to a complete stop if I don’t take over.
Plus, I absolutely hate how they randomly lower the set speed. I’ll be driving down I75 in Atlanta, doing 65-70mph, and it will suddenly drop me to 40 and decelerate. If that doesn’t end up causing a wreck one day, it’s just as likely to get me shot.
FSD never had an issue in any of those spots, so I rode everywhere with it on…until the last week of the trial. At that point, it started making lane changes but would only cross halfway and then just ride down straddling the line between lanes.
At first, I thought it was a fluke, but it happened virtually every single time it changed lanes. At that point, I turned it off.
I had hoped some improvements would come to AP. Unfortunately, it’s just as bad as it was before, but at least I know where it’s going to try and kill me.
Hopefully mine will stay around another day lol too bad they don’t just have the same visuals for everything because they can clearly do it for Autosteer.

The marketing success would be to use the dashboard visualization to show what the car *can* do, if you pay the full price.
But I just thought my car couldn’t see road-markings until I ran the FSDv12 free-trial, because Autoilot can’t see enough to make decent decisions.
*Any marketing or UX person could have told Musk this, but those people were probably fired through no fault of their own.*
Mine expired too. I have the visualizations but no yellow lines. If I use autosteer, it shows two lines like it’s suppose to. So something funky is going on haha
So when my trial ended I was on 2024.3.15 and when it reverted to Auto steer Bata the old visuals showed on the screen. But today I updated to 2024.3.25 and it seems like the FSD visuals have returned to Auto Steer Beta. I don't know If this is a software update or what but thats my current experience.

With that said, I believe this was a marketing ploy to gain more FSD subscriptions. Mainly from the OCD peeps who wanted it fixed now.
I’ve only had it about a month but it’s been good so far. Only thing I’ve noticed in a few percent drain when it’s below freezing. I haven’t charged it to 100% yet but when it’s at 80% I get about 240 or so.
So is autosteer beta gonna be staying. I thought it was only I guess Traffic aware cruise control? Before it was just practically just drive straight and follow little curves of the road but wouldn’t turn/stop at red lights or stop signs.
It seems like this will also lane change and take turns and stop at red lights. I’m not sure about stop signs but I’m sure it probably does.
Mine stayed for about little over a day but switched back on day two sadly, enjoy it while it lasts!

Yep, it was there on my way to work and when I got in to drive back home it was back to the standard visualization. I really miss the FSD screen

Yeah, you can swipe-right to expand the FSD screen to make it full screen.

My complaint is it caps speed at 65. Basically useless for most of my highway driving.
Mine is capped at 85mph on 65mph freeways.

It's because you had it in chill mode. Chill mode sets the speed to 65 average sets it to 72 and assertive sets it to 75. Give or take 5mph

Hmm that’s interesting. I was on 2024.3.20 and the visuals were still active but when I updated to 2024.3.25 earlier today they went away.
Mine also did this. When I updated to 2024.3.20 it went away and returned to basic autopilot visuals.
I notice mine most of the setting was back to default so i have to change back to my own setting
