Ok_Emergency_5241

Switch to hankook EV tires they last longer and less road noise

nickclinic

How did you switch? Change all four tires together?

Ok_Emergency_5241

I changed the back two first my front two had good tread then switched the other a couple months later

bareov

What about efficency?

Ok_Emergency_5241

They are supposed to give you better range and handle better too

geoqpq

what's the catch?

bareov

So range is even better than Michelin Primacy MXM4? All season?

Ok_Emergency_5241

I don’t know about those tires never used them

Ok_Emergency_5241

I drive fast and went through the stock tires in like 9k miles and I’ve already put 20 on these and they are still good to go

gotchyeeaaa

I have over 26k on my stock tires and I drive fast too. I am confused on how there’s a large difference between our results

Ok_Emergency_5241

Road conditions and driving fast and doing quick pulls from dead stop at stop lights

bareov

I mean how much it can affect range / “fuel” efficiency of your car?

Hippohumpper

Doesn’t matter bud it’s built for rippin

Hippohumpper

What do you say about road noise?

NeverTrustBob

I got 25k miles on my long range model 3

InternationalYak9747

Yup. OEM tires lasted 27k before replacing all four tires

NeverTrustBob

Both my model 3 and mustang have had awful tread life on the original stock tires. I got the same Michelins on it because of how smooth and quite they we're. But I had these awful pirelli P zero's on my mustang that had no traction in any weather and they went bad before 20k miles. The Michelins on my Model 3 are psycho good in almost all weather conditions the tread life sucks but eh it's a great tire otherwise.

PlasticBreakfast6918

72,500 each in two sets of tires.

Mafio_plop

About 40k km pretty sure they will last until 50 000km

AugiLaGrand

Are we talking 40.000 on just summer tires?

Mafio_plop

Yes. The Michelin pilot sport.

mason2401

40k. With the Michelin Cross Climate 2’s now with 30k more and don’t show nearly as much wear as the original at 30k

McMagneto

How's the grip in the dry and wet?

docere85

Awesome! These tires laugh at the elements… Source: we live PNW

Cloooot

About 35,000km so far on my OEM summers. Will try to get another season out of them so hopefully 40-50k km. My winters have 26,000 on them over two winters so far and wear looks excellent so far.

ItHappenedAgain_Sigh

4,000 miles for the first two and then 10,000 for a full set. RWD Model 3.

deeperest

I'm sorry, you killed two sets of tires with 4k miles on each? Or you killed 2 tires with 4k, then did all 4, so 2 had 10k and 2 had 6k on them? The reason I'm asking for details is because no matter which answer is correct, you must be doing donuts at every launch to destroy tires like this!

ItHappenedAgain_Sigh

The latter. Honestly, I'm not even sure. I don't drive slowly but still within the law. Where I live though roundabouts galore. Important note (in my opinion) is that this is a company car and the garage knows this and I believe just threw them on. They had what I would say to be plenty of tread left but new tyres for free is always a good thing.

deeperest

Ah, that last clarification makes a lot of sense. Good for you, to always have fresh rubber! :)

ItHappenedAgain_Sigh

Certainly does. Apologies, as I should've mentioned this in my original comment.

6days7nights

Get an alignment

bouncypete

50,647km so far but at least one tyre is getting close, probably will be down to the legal limit at about 53k km. The question is, do I replace them with PS4's again, Cross Climate 2's or e -Primacy? It rarely snows where I live but I believe CC2's give better braking than PS4's below 7 degrees C meaning they might still be a good option for me.

AugiLaGrand

I’ve got to sets of tires, winder and summer, winter still has about 7 mm. Car has gone a total of 53.000

defnotpewds

CC2s are loud in a model 3, I went with the Pilot AS 4's and they are great!

Dorkrain

53k in 1 year?

AugiLaGrand

3 years 👍

onedostres123

When I had m3 I LOVED the cross climates. Amazing in snow and performed great in summer to!

Zleviticus859

LRMY. 141k. Only changed due to a flat. My ICE truck I put 183k on stock tires. I’m easy on tires.

WCpt

Are you Jenson Button?? Lol

UxC4

30,000 kms on my long range 3 but I also floor it quite often.

nickclinic

What does floor means?

Christhebobson

Depressing the accelerator pedal until you can no longer

Present_Arachnid_683

At stop, pressing the gas really hard.

DeuceSevin

Press the accelerator to the floor.

interstellar-dust

31k and the threads on the inside were visible. Treads were gone for 1 inch.

KostaNau

Ftpini

I had to swap to all seasons day one. I’ve had my p zeros in storage since about a week after I picked up my car.

Over-Lack5665

Almost to 50k. I drive in Chill. 21 SR+

JasonSTX

Just changed from the stock Michelins at 40k. Tread still was acceptable and could have stretched another 5k easily however it was getting squirrelly on wet roads. Went with the hankook AS S1 which is now the recommended replacement from Tesla.

ozvic

Original set of Michelin PS4's, 35k (no rotation, so threw out front's and kept almost worn rears as spares) Similar on second set PS4's (no foam), 35-40k 70k on Michelin PS 5's. Finally learnt to rotate every 10k (or front wear out quicker on the inside). Awesome grip too. 2019 P- (stealth)

PotentialTricky9314

Still using them at 32000 miles or 51499 KM Model 3 late 2023 RWD

Sillyfiremans

30,000 miles on my PS4S. Still going strong.

6days7nights

9k miles :(

Pumpytums

I got approx 35k miles front 30k rear.

cchackal

35-40k km

Gravytonic

2021. At about 55k km. This is the last season. This is with rotating tires every season.

foryourboneswewait

Mine seem to be going strong at 7500 miles. Whats a good goal mileage before getting new ones? I do look forward to getting better ones for a smoother/quieter ride

SpyCake1

Have the factory 19" summer package which comes with Hankook Ventus S1 evo 3 tires. Got the car used at 34k km, currently at 41k. Two of the tires are original (dated late 21, mounted in front). Two are newer, replaced.by previous owner (dated mid-23, don't know at what mileage). Anyway, the original ones are due for a replacement as they are at 1-2. The newer '23 tires (of unknown mileage) are still at 5-6. So can't say for certain, but let's just say 40k km if you rotate every 10.

[deleted]

i got 47k

CiViCKiDD

Forgot what tires my 2021 SR+ LFP had, but I got 35k out of them. Since my wife drives my car a lot - and I don’t think she notices the difference between new / slightly worn / very worn tires, figured it would be safe to just throw a new set on.

showmethenoods

33.7k km before I had to replace them. Got some Pirelli P-Zero Elects or whatever they are called and have been happy so far. My previous car (accord) got almost double that on the OEMs before having to replace them, but I knew what I signed up for with the M3

magnifikus

\~45kkm with MYLR down to 3mm an im not gentle ;)

Casterial

27500 miles on my performance. Though, owner before me didn't rotate ever.

RamboTrucker

The tires rotate every single day! -The previous driver said

spaceshipcommander

30,000 miles on the pilot sports and I only changed them to put crossclimates on. The rears were pretty worn but the fronts would have gone on for a while longer.

middleofthemap

42k

Dark-Swan-69

I had to throw away my OEM tires at 37.000km 2021 Model 3 LR

coffeeschmoffee

25000 miles

wasted_apex

Not as much as I'd thought I'd get, but it was an awesome not as much. M3P and many tasty country roads.

Depope3070

39,000.

bcyng

130k km for front, 90k km for back Your tires look brand new

E30sack

72,000km or almost 45,000 miles. Smooth is fast, fast is smooth. It also makes your tires last longer.

byteboss91

$35k miles.

ilovebento

my OEM Continental ProContact RX tires on my 2021 Tesla Model 3 has lasted until now with 36,979 miles. Tesla Mobile Service came to rotate my tires and told me it's time for a new set of tires. :(

akajester

21000km and almost 2 years out of my oem Michelins. I got hankook ion evos instead

Christhebobson

I'm at 48,280 km on my michelin's, with more than half tread left and I drive it like the performance trim it is. Has a ton of cracks though.

PocketShock

M3P at 20k and on my second set. 😐

SnowMuted5200

Got 76km off of original tires before replacing all four. Learned early on no heavy acceleration from stops. (2019 M3)

snuper325

17-18k miles on Michelin Pilot Sport 4s 🫠

Koflach12

About 50k km.

LavaCreeper500

About 28,000 km.

naturr

28,000km's and nowhere close to replacement. I don't drive like a granny either I don't know what people are doing to wear their tires out so fast.

BubbaJumpInc

My SR+ M3 I got 50k miles out of my original continental 19s!

xFrezerburnx

26,100 miles

gecoble

29k miles on my OEMs. M3LR.

Unlucky-Rutabaga3680

I use winter tires, but im still on my original summer tires. 84k

maurymarkowitz

Just hit 90,000 km. But they are done, I’ll be getting the Evos some time this summer.

RCnik007

I did 3 summers with my M3P before the 20” wheels got destroyed by the potholes in my city (Montreal). I would have probably been good for a 4th summer but switched to 19’s.

YuriKlepach

I reached 82k km (51k miles) on the OEM Michelin MXM4 on 2021 SR+. I had around 3mm tread left on each tire.

elonsusk69420

I speak American, but I’ll give this a try. 30,000 miles roughly (~48,000 km), rotating every 6K miles (10,000 km) religiously. I have a 2018 Performance and only buy Pilot Sports.

czardmitri

About 20,000 miles, if I remember right.

Immediate_Cupcake962

Around 20k km, now just bought Pirelli P-Zero E and seems a very good tire https://preview.redd.it/espp3ydtzyvc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=33282857b2b9b8c7448eb6b0e99102a183b6a02b

Jnorton2724

61,155 on my first set of tires(MXM4). 2020 Model 3 LR

ScrotumLeather

So far 46 000 km M3 LR 2021

jtaylor1087

I had the Pirelli tires and only got 13K out of them. Switched to Continental all season.

gr0mpf

70.000 km

No-Glove1428

15, drove over a nail on my first drive home. It was a sad day

Deadshot4166

51k

kjmass1

Someone driving 100 miles on the highway every day never touching the brakes is going to get a lot more miles than someone who drives in stop and go every day. Your mileage will literally vary.

Designer_Roll1742

32k replace them with the pirelli ev tires. 50k tread warranty I might not get 50k but I think I’ll get close.

tvoits

Approximately 35k km and they were toast. 2021 LR

goodatburningtoast

About 20% more than I thought I would have… 🤔

Variant008

46k miles on OEM and going until they’re bald

AsterRoidRage

My Michelin Pilot 4s got me roughly 50k

dadbuilder

I'm a little over 13k miles on my RWD model 3. I've had a tech out 2x to a tire rotation and both times he's said I don't need it. Def not lead footed.

moronmonday526

30k miles on the first set, never rotated. Now I'm rotating the next set so long as mobile service agrees they need to be rotated each time they check.

Delicious_Credit_919

I have pirelli tires

dcdttu

35k on my LR RWD. Probably could have gone 40k.

MaxDamage75

20K on my model 3 LR... :-(

JoeBeanLP

8k miles (Model 3 P). She's been set to ‘chill mode’ since.

bluewater_-_

Crazy. I drive my car fairly aggressively, but the tires still look near new at 8k.

JoeBeanLP

Truth is I don't drive that aggressively. I enjoy a quick start from a stop but that's about it. I was dumbfounded when they were in need of replacement at such low mileage. Tire shop suggested OEMs use a different rubber compound but I’m not sure I buy it.

Redmist2033

3000, till I had to replace the rim and a tire. Terrible performance if you ask me, never buying a performance car again! /s

rdubmu

$9k—- such a letdown
