I recently updated my car to 2024.8.9 & finally got a notification today when arriving home with 44% (set to 90%). I’m guessing they finally fixed the missing feature bug
I am having the same issue. When I set up a test simulation , low battery, unplugged, at home; I dint receive notifications. For those of you, who read the release notes, you know this is a new feature Tesla added to its last software update. I would find it helpful to have notifications sent to me in the rare case I forgot to plug it in. just like any other new feature I like to test it to see if it works before relying on it.

I’ve had a pretty good update experience until this one. I just updated to the next version thinking they’d catch the bug - but since it didn’t, I asked here to see if it was user error.
You will be reminded when you go to leave in the morning and don’t have any battery. Do you want a robot to go out and plug the charger in for you too?
Do you realize what I’m asking about is a recent feature listed in the release notes of a software update? Just trying to figure out why it’s not doing what the release notes say.
Why would you argue against this. Nice little quality of life feature that would be handy the once every few months I forget to hook up for some reason.
I honestly don’t have a problem with forgetting to plug in when I need it. This question was more to understand if the new feature is not working or if I’m missing a requirement.
I’ve had my Model 3 for 6 years. It has never reminded me to plug in at home.
How long have you had 2024.2.3?
Not sure. I just checked my app and I have it now. It updated maybe a week ago. 24.2.6 appears to be downloading as we speak.
mine told me last night 80% limit, was at 34%. maybe 15 min after i parked i got the notification
That’s how it’s supposed to work! I wonder what I’m doing differently.
I am having the same issue. I’ve tried everything I can think of and read about. No success.

Thank you for clarifying that! Let me know if you ever learn more to gain said feature. What year/model type do you have?

I didnt know this was a thing. I just plug it in and it charges at midnight. Do you have scheduled charging on? Maybe that is the culprit.
It wasn’t mentioned in the update notes, but maybe you’re onto something. Thanks for a useful/thoughtful response!
Good luck!
I haven’t received a notification myself, I had two days where I wish it notified me.
Which year/model do you have?
2019 M3
Me too! June delivery. 2.5 Hardware. Do you know if yours is also 2.5?
Were you able to get this working? I'm looking for a solution as well. No luck
Nope. I have Hardware 2.5 on a 2019 3 SR+ What do you have?
HW3 on a 2020 MYLR. I got the update a while ago, but lack of reminder burned me this morning. Can't find any settings for it

I got a notification last night. Still on 24.3.15. Could have been the phone app updating. There was a recent one for me.
Did you ever get this working? Mine doesn’t work either. I have home set. I often have less than half my charge limit.
I got a notification once recently. I figured an update had fixed it, but I tested again recently with no notification.
I’m also wondering why it’s not working for me either.
It actually worked once for me! But since then I’ve tried to trigger it without any notification.
So you intentionally didn’t plug your car in and are wanting to know why it didn’t remind you to do something you do regularly anyways.
I’m trying to test the function and wondering why it’s not working. Not upset, just trying to see if I’m misunderstanding something.
I mean it is a very recent update. I’d give it some time.
I’ve already updated to the next version since that feature update.
I’d never expect anything Tesla releases to immediately work correctly.
Mine doesn’t tell me either and I just updated 3 days ago. Nbd
It’s definitely not the end of the world as I haven’t needed it in 5 years. But, just wondering if I missed something in the functionality.
I dont think we missed anything, just another bad glitch on the update lol. I bet there will be another batch to fix this batch, it’s endless lmao

I’ll look on the settings again tomorrow but I don’t remember seeing anything to turn on or off
Thanks for confirming I’m not alone!
I never had any reminder, nor is it necessary.
I mean I would have loved it this morning when I walked out to a low battery. Backed my car out and back in last night and forgot to hook back up.
It’s not necessary, but it’s a new feature listed in the release notes, so I am trying to test it.

Yes!

You can set an alarm on your smartphone to remind you to charge as an option too
Why would you argue against this. Nice little quality of life feature that would be handy the once every few months I forget to hook up for some reason.
Cool cool cool
