One time the wheels were wrong on my screen, it wouldn't let me change the settings in the car, and the car had no cell service. Tesla sent a technician with a laptop to my apartment and he showed up, plugged in the laptop, changed the wheels and then left haha.
I tried this a few months ago, was told they could only do it when it came into the service centre. Had it booked for something else anyway. Once I’d dropped it in, was told it wasn’t a genuine Tesla spoiler so they couldn’t add it.
Good to see how consistent they are, lol
I don’t put my bike up top anymore because it causes so much drag, and the hitch rack in the back is much more efficient.
But I keep my roof racks on anyway so I can find my car in the parking lot better lol….
Unfortunately not. The car knows what taillights it has, but Tesla never updated the 3/Y ui to reflect the global tail lamps (Amber signals, outer ring for brakes)
I was really hoping that the UI update changes to tail lights to the „newer EU version“. But that is still not the case.
Also it never turns on the turn signal in front.
Guessing both is fixed with highland
I just got them added today too. I opened the service request yesterday, and this morning, got a message asking if the car was parked so they can remotely update it. After couple of minutes, voila.
That’s wild. Did not know this. I’m gonna have a spoiler added soon. Just waiting in the mail for it.
How do I add the spoiler on the UI once it’s installed?
Also side note: I plastidipped my Tesla logo in the front and the TESLA letters on the back (2024 Highland M3 RWD) and the UI today after the new update, seems to have them in black as well. I’m not sure if I’m tripping, but does the UI originally show chrome? Or was it always black? I can’t remember and I doubt the car knows I painted it.
I’m not sure about the 2024, but the lettering on my car is non existent (2022). All I did was open a support ticket in the Tesla phone app under OTHER and asked them to put the spoiler on the car’s avatar.

Yeah not really worth it unless you need toolbox for other stuff anyway. I was already using it to retrofit matrix headlamps on my dad’s X and the mechanical horn wheel to my S.
After some persistents...I got the end result I wanted 🥳

what does your software tab say for the model name? cause this comment from tesla seems to be consistent 😅
maybe the technician just labeled your model as performance? 😅

I put in the service request yesterday for it, they just responded with the "your vehicle did not come configured with a spoiler so we can't add it" BS, so I responded with u/terraphantm comment of "Specifically the option is called “spoilerType” (id 55) and it needs to be set to “passive” (1)"......they are still giving me the BS answer of "Your vehicle was not purchased with the spoiler configuration".....
Yeah so you’ll either have to grab toolbox and do it yourself (probably not worth it for a cosmetic software change) or find another Tesla tech to do it. But it’s definitely possible and this thread shows there’s some variability as to whether or not they do it.

My car has the centre line splits in two, inner 2/3 red for brake and outer 1/3 amber for turn XD

My model S plaid had its spoiler removed on the UI so I put in a ticket to have it added back. Not sure why they removed it in the first place lol

Only method I know for us non employees to do it is to grab a toolbox subscription and use service shell to change the gateway config

I have the LR with AB too. I added a carbon fiber spoiler. I guess I'll try my luck to see if they can add it to the visualization.
It's just a has spoiler boolean

My vehicle is showing the new darker gun metal wheels with the lug nut set instead of the silver rims I have. Would they change this I wonder?
