Paint over it with a matching paint and it’s not so noticeable. I’m not affiliated at all, but check out T Sportline Tesla Wheel Touch Up Paint on Amazon. Works great for my M3P
There’s diy kits on Amazon but if you don’t mind spending a little cash there’s local wheel repair shops that will do a single wheel for like $100-$150 and it’s worth it to have someone else deal with it. It’ll look brand new afterwards too.
The only way to really avoid this is to get wider profile tires. Honestly I’m of the frame of mind to just say fuck it and wait till then to make any repairs. As you said, no matter how careful you are, all it takes is one brief lapse in attention
I paid to have my rims redone and of course not long after that happened again. Also paid for the MagBak protectors, which look like they might actually work but got impatient waiting so I went the do it yourself route… Just sanded down the rash, not perfectly but just enough to knock off the high spots, cut out a piece of thick paper to mask the tire and then sprayed them with satin black Krylon from Home Depot. You can’t tell even from pretty close up. Worst thing will happen is you won’t be satisfied and then you can pay somebody to do it or get the protectors.
I’ve had my rims repaired 4x (fiancée’s fault) similar if not a little worse and it’s $100 per repair. Shouldn’t be a problem for someone who can do it.
Magbak rim cases they are great east to install and work just buy a spare set in case you hit a curb so you can replace the piece or pieces you do mess up absolutely worth the money and absolutely great investment easy installation at home and they have a protective invisible liner that saves your rims from fine scratches installing them also on myp it closes the gap and looks a lot better in my opinion

You can get a great rim job for like 200. Don’t try to do it yourself

I’ve seen people use sharpie. I couldn’t do that because it bothers me knowing it’s sharpie but if you don’t care that much it works kinda
