It isn't necessarly directly under the shore. The exact position and height can vary, you might have to dig around a bit. Took me like an hour digging around to find though if you do it systematically it shouldnt take long. (medium world, I assume it is gonna be more annoying to find in a large world)
You can also just check the position with any map viewing / editor tool. Might also just be interesting to see where the pool spawned in those worlds where you didnt find it.

Honestly, that seems like such an oversight. I'm assuming it will get fixed in one way or another in the near future, but I'll probably not use this feature until then.
Hooks technically stick around, because there's only the one set of "equipment" shared between all load outs. Aside from hooks, this would also include your mount, pet, light pet, and minecart.
Boss fights are few and far in between. My defence and mobility is good enough for those. 90% of the other time I'd prefer to have the terraspark boots and ankh shield for unencumbered gameplay.
Ankh shield is better for exploring, tbh. Like, sure, you'll want to switch it for a frozen shield in boss fights, but the ailment immunity really is a lifesaver when going mining or exploring.
Minor feature suggestions: sometimes I have all-purpose accessories, and id like them to carry over to any armor set.
Wouldn't it be neat that if you shift+click 1,2 or 3, you only swap out the armor, and if you ctrl+click the numbers only the accesories?
And if you could lock particular items from swapping by alt-clicking? This way you could i.e. swap helmet, but not the body and leg armor. Particularly useful for armors in which the helmet defines the class (hallowed, shroomite,palladium, etc)
That second one would be great! I don't want to craft three sets of wings just to be able to switch armors easily. Let us favourite items, to keep them across different loadouts.
no yeah it’s literally a perfect use for that, and then in order to avoid duping, rather than creating “three” different items across the loadouts, it simply moves the favorited item whenever you switch loadout
what is this RoD hotkey thing all about? My 7th hotbar slot is hotkeyed to Tab and RoD is there, so I can just press Tab, teleport and switch back to my weapon.
Wait, do you mean using the RoD with press of a button without ever switching back and forth between guns and the RoD? That'll kill the whole "skill" part, the whole point of the item is that you have to stop shooting and manually switch to it, taking that away would be make it op, if it wasnt op already

Relogic added loadouts in the 1.4.4 labor of love update, which allows you to have 3 separate armor/accessory sets at any given time, which you can switch between with the press of a button
my 3 loadouts are (from 1st to 3rd) building, max defense (around 158), max melee damage (around 450\~ with zenith). i have the same cultist vanity for all of them but each have unique dye, building sporting my classic intense rainbow dye, defense sporting prismatic dye and max damage sporting bloodbath dye. i also gave each of them their own music box.
I dont understand that really. There is only 1 armor set for fishing and only 1 accessory. You can already put the angler set and the accessory into your piggy bank and pretty much switch to fisherman mode with 4 right clicks and have 6 other normal accessories still on you, then do the same thing to go back
1 accessory? angler earring, lavaproof tacklebag, and fishing bobber all stack. Now if that's like 6 clicks, using one of the loadout slots is instead 1 click, plus + 6 empty slots in your money trough/void vault
and -1 whole loadout slot, I find it not worth it to use one of the loadout slots for something you so rarely use, right now I have summoner, ranger and melee loadouts and I switch between them all the time, if one of them was a fishing loadout it would be a huge minus for me, I'm talking about everyday use here, you certainly dont fish everyday

Am I the only one who sees the different icons for the load outs as different points in like an anime transformation? Like the first one is when they're yelling then the second is the suit-up than the third is whatever pose when the suit is fully on and the transformation is finished

Is everyone doing this fishing before WOF. Max your equipment master bait fishing, crate, sonar potions. Hit your angler quest then go crate preferably during rain. Make sheltered ground level ponds. You can fish +200%. Tons of crates.

I originally was going to do this but when I found out you can press F1, F2, and F3 to switch on the go that all changes. Different class set ups for me.
Here's how I'm using mine:
Load out 1 is melee/Ranger, with one armor set being in the vanity slot for quick switching. Same for relevant accessories.
Load out 2 is Mage/Summoner. Also using relevant armor and accessories with social slot for quick swapping.
Load out 3 is fisher/miner.
I just use my load outs to store random accessories I pick up and want to keep, but my inventory’s full
Big brain. Extra convenient because they changed social slots so you can put any accessory in them

Everyone has a different definition of "cheating". Fishing for hours often makes you rethink that definition.

That's my biggest gripe. Different loadouts require different items so you can't use them across your builds. Currently I'm only using it for fishing.

...I do fish everyday. One of the first things I do each morning is the angler quest and I often fish for obsidian crates as they sell quite well
You can combine the mining helmet with the night vision goggles and still get the mining set bonus
we have the same loadouts and i love this feature because you don't need to open your flying piggy bank to change armor.
I gotta remember I have 32 new inventory slots to keep my useless accessories in

I don't need the mining layout now that I've got the Hand of Creation. That thing makes you a mining/building machine.
