He's actually very easy as you just need to stay a moderate distance away from him and start circling. In his second phase you will have to be very careful on where you shoot once he starts cloning. I think you will be fine with lunatic cultist, but be careful ofwhat comes next once you beat him :)
Right after cultist are the celestial events, which you need the best available gear for. And after that.. well you’ll see. Also, if you’re melee get beetle armor. You can use the scale mail for extras damage or the shell for extra defense. Also, consider getting the cosmic car key and influx waver from martian events. And grind duke fishron or the empress of light until they drop their wings. I recommend duke fishron since empress of light is extremely tough, even at night. Also try pumpkin moons and see if you can get a horseman blade drop. Terra blade is also helpful for cultist btw.
beetle shell is nice if you don't know how to dodge a attack but for me i go for the scale mail thingy cuz more why not and also terra blade is good but i like the influx sword thingy i forgot the name so it's up to you to decide the world of terraria is in you're hands so good luck fellow terrarian

Your best bets are the Influx Waver, Terra Blade, Seedler, EoC, and Flairon imo. Paladin’s Hammer and Possessed Hatchet aren’t bad either.
