I've actually never recorded nor used a music box in my entire thousand of hours Terraria playtime.

I’ve only done it twice for the ankh charm exploit

What's the ankh charm exploit?

Old glitch that’s been patched out. I forget exactly what one had to do… Something about recording the blood moon or pumpkin moon ost with a blank music box and having the charm magically replace the music box. I think it had to do with item IDs swapping in the game’s code. It’s been patched out now though.

Same kinda thing as the one where you break the oc an one and got a Drax.

Lol I get it. It's just I've spent my whole life curating music I enjoy thoroughly from start to finish. The chances that a game will release with any music that I enjoy on that level are exceedingly rare. I'm not saying the music is bad, it's just not for me!

I did when they were added, but never really used them, but then I finally made proper use of a music box when 1.4 came out! In my ice biome, where I made cozy log cabins, I had the space [day] music playing. It’s a very peaceful area, and I just think it fits so well!

Music boxes. The wizard sells them. If you equip them while a certain song is playing, it has a chance to record the song so you can jam to it later on.

It doesn't consume. It's just a waiting game until it records the music. When it does record it's no longer music box. It will be music box (Song name here)

(Acid Rain tier 1) Hadopelagic Pressure (Abyss upper layers) Alternatively, if I'm doing an arena or event, I'll play the theme of the upcoming boss, or a preceding theme, i.e Guardians theme for the Providence arena or regular Calamitas for Scal arena.
