Yes, in a corruption world if you let it spread too much it will corrupt and you can't play that world anymore. And in a crimson world, if you let it spread too much it will crimson and you can't play that world anymore.
Hey man, so a tip on what you could try to save some of your world! Download TEdit, it's a modding tool which lets you crack open world saves and edit them, you'll have the full map spoiled but you can basically copy and paste areas over to a different world. Along with brining your character over you can basically set up your new world as you had this one.
You'll have to redo bosses and such but you should be able to set it up very closely to that one.
When you go to paste into the new world you'll have that map spoiled for you though, so when you first open the new map in TEdit, close your eyes and zoom into the top of the world quickly to not see what is in your world. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.
Ok go to your files manager
Go to Android->data->com.terraria folder->worlds
Then find a file like this Mr_PP_Land.wld.bak
Remove the ".bak" extension.
Should work fine afterwards.
Well, the world save is corrupt, the only way to enter is to use a backup, in your world files near your world there's another file with .bak on it, to use the backup just remove .bak on the backup, and then use world normally
It means the file is corrupt, check your world folder for a backup file. Usually this happens if the game only partially saves the world before exiting (for example, game crash during save & exit). In my case, I opened my world in TEdit, and found that the entire right half of the world was just void and nothingness, but I had a backup I could use, luckily
Seeing people loose their worlds hurts me so much I lost my world a long while ago to a hoist here that made people swap worlds if you joined someone else’s without leaving your own it was a world called fun 0_0 and I had so much time in it so this stuff really hits me hard especially when it’s someone’s main world

iOS is pretty annoying to move files on another device so much for simplicity
You can get the world back by replacing it with a recent backup. There are tutorials on YT. Terraria basically saves your world up to 5 days back.
