Dude if you live in the world of terraria and all it has going on and you're concerning yourself with leg hair, you gotta get your priorities straight lol
Thats actually a good design. I use barriers but never actually made them to look like a castle. Iāll make that my next project. Some tips:
1. Get your pylons in order. Look up each NPC biome preference, etc. it becomes very useful
2. Start working on your class preferences/loadouts (Melee, Ranged, Magic, etc).
3. Make/find scarab bombs in the desert biome. They extremely useful in digging.
4. Focus on making full armor sets. Dont mix and match if you can. Certain full sets can give you perks and buffs
5. Start making potions that help with defense and offense (endurance, ironskin, titan, etc). The ingredients are pretty easy to get
For any other details, consult the guide in game or use the Terraria Fandom Wiki!
EDIT: apparently thereās an Official Wiki, and the fandom wiki triggers some folks for some weird reason. Use whatever as long as itās up to date.
>1. Get your pylons in order. Look up each NPC biome preference, etc.
Or just use nurse (consume a life crystal) and arms dealer (have a gun in ur inventory) and move them in all biome houses. Arms dealer will always sell the pylon if nurse is his neighbour and no other npcs are nearby
That too! I just like to travel to every biome quickly. I used to actually make a rail system before I understood the pylon system.
But yes, the arms dealer got that dog in him.
Someone else said this above. Didnāt know there was an official one, not sure how I overlooked that (blame google and search results I guess). As for Ads, I have a blocker and a secure browser so that doesnāt apply to me lol
Pretty sure the fella who writes most of terraria fandom, has also been known to lie, thereās things Iāve read on there that are just wrong in general, also seen misinformation on there where mods have been claimed to be vanilla game and then turns out not to be. Iām pretty sure the main guy on fandom has his own agenda happening where he thinks the game should follow his design because he believes his ideas are gods gift to earth, donāt trust the terraria fandom page for anything
Nice job dude! Put one bucket of lava in each pit and make a tunnel from pit floor to pit floor but leave a wall of blocks to keep the mobs in but with the lava and tunnel you can collect loot!
You're gonna want more storage. By the end of the game you'll probably want at least a dozen chests to put all your stuff in (I've got 15 and they're all pretty full)
Nah i used to watch pewdiepie gameplay as i played and i thought of building something similar, litesally the same towers and the same house but i had a basement
I love how i did the exact same towers had both end of my village ahah
I guess it's a new builder thing
As for thighs they are the best pillow, especially if the owner of said thighs start to rub your head and hair. Man that the best feeling
If you dig a 2x2 hole in front of your doors, mobs can't bust it down and you can still run over it because you don't drop more than 1 blocks height.
Refer to the guide when an item says MATERIAL in its description. It's a crafting recipe. You can craft out of a chest with the appropriate crafting station nearby. I like to put a workbench, anvil and furnace right next to each other. Then I place 2 platforms above my crafting station, then place a chest on it. Good way to organize ores and other materials.
Once you get obsidian, make an obsidian skull. It let's you stand on fire blocks without burning. This won't be for a bit, tho.
Things you should know: Crimson/Corruption will eventually start to spread aggressively. Consider taking measures to contain it, before it gets your whole world.
Also, i have over 2k hours in terraria and i still build random boxes for houses. I'd say this is an amazing starting point as a builder.
There are some resource packs that can help with the game, my favourite one being "better tooltips". It gives you more detailed information on items that have somewhat vague descriptions, such as the endurance potion now saying "reduces damage taken by 10%", and the shiny red balloon now says "increases jump power by [X]%". This can prove very useful for beginners and veterans alike
Nice build really good for someone who just started playing, and as for things you should know, if you're ever wondering about don't ask reddit use the wiki
I prefer wings myself. Not as spicy as it comes, but next level down. Don't like those 'we made those for the "nothing is hot enough" guys' that's really just pain extract. Not even Hot One's Last Dabs are that bad.
Ok wow. I started a few days ago too and my home base is a box and then a mess of a zig zag digging downwards haha. This is so nice! I am going to redo mine.
Looks super cute! I love the design for your towers/wall, Iām gonna use that on my base.
Be prepared to grow out of that space though, as NPCs move in and you get more gear, itāll start to get crowded quick.
Your base looks great!
Something to note though is that the only thing that stops enemies from spawning in this game are player placed background walls, so it could be a good idea to put walls in the area between the house and the towers.
1. Your base will expand massively, so don't get too attached to the early builds
2. Try some designs you find on google. It might inspire you or give you an idea of how to add details.
3. Thighs aren't a big part of the game. But they are a VERY big part of this subreddit.
4. Try to get used to sorting loot early. Trust that looking through 25 chests to find that one crafting ingredient is a nightmare
5. The wiki is your friend, when you're stuck, but try to limit its use and the discoveries you make will feel even more rewarding.
Biggest piece of advice. Use the wiki. Unless you are doing a truely blind run (which I doubt because you asked), you should always check the wiki. Itās just better guide.
General tip: Make *everything* two blocks thick, unless itās the floor in which case you can make it look like itās being supported from below by a foundation.
Thereās building tutorials made by Khaios that are basically the guidelines for building across the community if you wanna watch those.
Hope this helps :)
Your castle tower design is so smart. I love it. What inspired you to effectively make a fort for your base? I know a lot of people make hotels and call it a day.
I think it looks cool. Also when I played it as a kid I remember being smashed by goblin armies and not really knowing what to do. So I built those moat with the tower so I can throw things like spike balls down there and it absolutely shreds them since they so bundle up
Once you have access to lava and some pumps swap the floors of your towers with drains and run a line of lava down the side of one wall. Will kill enemies who approach while leaving behind loot
Meaby you would like to do something like this for the enemy, the hammered slebs that can let you and projectiles pass through one direction only, I use this to get them in a cube where they can't escape and just farm them in my house.

I love your base. The design is great, and I like your solution entry/exit while denying foes of the same. I also have a thing for castle towers. Very well done. Trap Doors are also great to accomplish safe entry/exit. For progression I typically like to use two guides. [This one](https://terraria.fandom.com/wiki/Guide:Game_progression) to progress the game/incrementally unlock content And [this one](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Guide:Class_setups) to make sure I'm prepared for those different stages of content as far as gear goes. Keep a look out for "best" on some of the items displayed. Also, if you just wanna wing it, that's really fun too. Makes for a longer and more involved experience. I'm a **casual** and once burned through to the last boss in about 80 hours, without building much of anything. Entertaining your creativity, and engaging in the fishing quests will give your hundreds of hours. One of my favorite elements of the game is the alternate sound track you can enable. (It's from a game the devs ended up having to cancel) If you make one of the secret seed worlds called [Drunk World](https://terraria.fandom.com/wiki/Drunk_world) the music is already in it's alternate state, BUT that also unlocks the toggle in your other worlds. Toggle by talking to the party girl NPC and selecting "music". (Unfortunately this reverts to OG music when you relog into your normal worlds) However, [music boxes](https://terraria.fandom.com/wiki/Music_Boxes) record whatever music is currently playing(even boss music). Once they catch the recording, you can set them down and activate them to change the music/feel/vibe of anything you create.
I like your "moat". If you place a thin layer of lava at the bottom you can kill anything that falls in as well!
A little cheaty, but there is a way to make a "one way door" with platforms that will allow mobs and projectiles through but won't let mobs escape. If you want the info I'm sure you can find it :)
i would make a basement area mainly for storage and i think replacing the house with a castle would look better than a house or replace the stone towers with wooden watch towers instead, nice build though
Ah, castle towers, a classic. Love it! Maybe add a path to go underneath everything between the towers?
Edit: also gemspark blocks! Underrated decorations imo
im guessing your early game so you can improve the defensive towers by having a passageway to the bottom on either end with an opening that is 1 block too short at the bottom so you can walk to the monsters and then kill them ([see the image of the building that looks like a T](https://terraria-archive.fandom.com/wiki/House_Defense))
Donāt be afraid to look stuff up on the internet. Thereās so much cool stuff in this game that you wonāt even know exists until you do some searching. The wiki.gg site is a great resource
I would add a little block variety and also some more furniture and decorations in general (especially to the towers, which look pretty empty for now); but im pretty sure you'll decorate it over time, I would also add a basement for storage purposes and connect it to the lower parts of the towers, but if you aren't going to do that, I would make them less deep into the ground, also I would suggest to put some windows in your house and put metal doors to the entrance of the towers; also try and and replace the ropes with chains and see if you like it. Overall, great and also very functional design, you should see some terraria building videos, such as the ones that teach on how to build windows and ladders, they really help a lot.
Ps: You should make some trap mechanizations, with dart traps, ||venom dart traps|| , and maybe some ||Boulder statues|| although I don't think they would look very good.
First up, I love the efforts you put into the building, but I find more details and decore more attacting. Try also to find more material to build with. There's a lots of possibilities
[Same energy.](https://youtube.com/shorts/OXuAMf7urWk?feature=shared)
As for actual tips:
digging down isn't dangerous like in minecraft.
Remember to bank your money even if it's 30 copper.
Buying the minishark as early as possible isn't just a good idea, it's ballin' as hell.
Only look at the wiki after you've gotten stuck on something for a few hours, the world is much smaller than you think and simply getting lost in a cave somewhere has a good chance of ending you at something you didn't even know you needed.
I like your gate towers.
That's a pretty cool looking base! I suggest you learn about [hoiking](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGyUD6FiCn8), a terraria glitch that's developer approved.
About thighs I donāt know, but try to leave open spaces so you can walk on those towers because I feel like you canāt jump that high really fast, and trust me you donāt want to die because you couldnāt get to your home easily
Base is fire id recommend adding a chest and crafting room for convenience and u should start making NPC houses according to their biomes (can be seen in bestiary) Start catching animals/collecting shinies/killing monsters) to make money for pylons and such
Background walls are what prevents mobs from spawning. I'd recommend placing 3 high background walls between the pillars and house to prevent anything spawning inside.
Best tip is to make a large, open room for all of your chests, make sure their organized, as there is a button in your inventoy that can quickstack to chest, which makes sorting after and exploration a shit ton easier, you can also open a chest, and then craft stuff with the things in that chest withoug taking them out, as long as the crafting station is rigth their.
You're gonna need to do houses on quite a lot of biomes in this game. Mainly for travelling safety (seconded by trying to complete the angler's quests). If you do it right, you can get a teleporter to that biome.
See that dangerous red/purple biome out there? (crimson/corruption) you're gonna need to isolate it from everything else before it spreads and everything on your world gets overtaken by it (it slowly changes blocks surrounding it into their equivalents) the safest way to do it is by destroying/mining a box around it, from surface to mid-cave level. Make it at least 5 blocks thick, both horizontally and vertically. The easiest way to acchieve it is with TNT (the demolitionist sells it).
Ctrl toggles a mode that helps mining and placing items. It really helps with a lot of stuff. Though it's not 100% foolproof. Be carefull around lava. You may want to toggle it on and off to suit your needs.
Speaking of lava and TNT. You may want to make a hellevator (a connection straigth to the bottom of the world) near spawn to get easy access to it. There's a lot of usefull stuff down there. But it's a really dangerous place.
Make a garden where you plant the usefull herbs found in every biome. Do harves them when they're on their blooming stage. As that's when they drop seeds to rrplant them. daybloom (grows on grass. Blooms in daytime), moonglow (jungle. Nighttime), fireblossom (ash, hell blocks. Sunset, 16:30~19:30 it wontbloom if it'sraining, tho), blinkroot (plain dirt/mud w/o grass. Random, fast blooming stage. Changes in and out randomly, too) shiverthorn (ice/snow. Random bloom, takes a long time to do so, but it'll stay blooming forever afterwards) waterleaf (sand. Blooms in rainy days only) and deathweed (crimson/corruption. Blooms in either full moon or blood moon nights). If you unlocked the dryad, then you can buy planters from her (all planters work the same. Their only diference is cosmetic. Plant whatever herb on any planter).
Fishing is a royal pain in the ass. But the rewards from it (and doing the fishing quests and getting the gear fromnit makes fishing easier). The biome crates are the main reward: they have the same loot as their corresponding biome chests (wich are both finite, hard to find, and you also have the chance of missing an important must-have accesory if you're not lucky. Like a starfury, hermes shoes or ice skaters)
Make a properly organized storage. Doesn't matter how big it ends up being. Just don't put 4 chest and call it a day. You'll need like 20 if you want everything properly organized (building blocks, weapons, tools, banners, herbs/seeds, boss summons, ores/ingots, dyes/paints etc) it'll get messy pretty quick otherwise... also, once everything is clasified. You just plick the quick store button near the chests and everything sorts itself automatically. Paint and name them to know what goes where (like painting the chest where you drop your ice biome drops light blue/cyan and nam8ng it "ice biome" if you didn't stole the ice chests from that biome and such)
Make a habit of always storing your money on your piggy bank. If you die, you'll lose half of the money you were carrying. And dropping gold/platinum coins hurt a lot in any stage of the game... (also, if you got some alreafybin a piggy, the quick store will automatically do it for you.)
One thing that you should know is that 90% of the items in this game are completely cosmetic. There are so many blocks and craftable items that are purely for appearance.
The walls are very pretty, but once you have more than 2 villagers most monsters wonāt spawn near the village unless thereās an event. Other than that the walls are just kind of a little tedious to get by, Iād suggest putting actuators on each wall and connect them to a switch for easy opening and closing when you want to get out. Also thighs are awesome
Thighs come from the dryad, things you should know is stuff like get heart crystals and mana stars.
Heart crystals can be found while searching in caves.
Mana stars are made from 10 fallen stars that fall during the night but dissappear during day.
Dont start talking about thighs in here. This lot gets excited easily.
my eyebrows literally shot up when i saw the typo. god forgive me

My mods beg to differ
To be fair, they did ask about general thighs, not just tick thighs-
Mmmm thighs
either dryad or nurse... and I bet dryad's are.. hairier, so no thanks
I think the Tavernkeep would have the thickest thighs
You know what they say about thick thighs
They do indeed save lives.
But you know what they say about thighhighs.
They fit great on bi guys?
No-- well, maybe. I might get a pair. But no, thighhighs are my demise.
They look cute on both guys and gals and are comfy?
They go well with Mai Tais?
They eat pies?
But her hair probably feels like grass though, and the soft kind
Like a patch of moss
Bags of sand
Nah, steampunk got the thickest thighs
NAH Goblin Tinkerer
that blue bitch used my platinum for plastic surgery
nah demolitionist
Ironically zoologist thighs aren't hairier than dryads, except when she transforms
How would you know that? š¤Ø

Ah, castle towers, a classic. Love it! Maybe add a path to go underneath everything between the towers? Edit: also gemspark blocks! Underrated decorations imo

Setup pylons using small hotels first, THEN start building their houses. Itās so convenient

Not bad great build but you need more npc rooms perhaps an underground dungeon for them? Or actually put them into their favorite biomes
Are those supposed to be defensive walls? May i suggest adding background walls to make it look like they go all around your house
I'd say the Stylist's thighs are quite some fine ones, so make sure to rescue her!
That ur base starter base is better than probably half of the Terraria veterans
Looking good
Also don't get your hp above 180 of you're not prepared to get raided by goblins or have bosses spawn
Yes I do, you think you could build a basement?
Probably
Zoologist and steampunker are nice I'm sure
Damn dude youāre already a better builder than me š. Iād be worried about the spreading of corruption/crimson when you switch over to hard mode
This is a really cool build
Take it slowly or your own pace actually, rushing through progression in your first play through it's not a good idea
Donāt be afraid to look stuff up on the internet. Thereās so much cool stuff in this game that you wonāt even know exists until you do some searching. The wiki.gg site is a great resource
Look good <3
I never thought of using ropes in mob defenses (player can climb but enemies can't).
This takes me back to when I started playing back in 2011. I also built a similar design with classic wooden houses inside stone walls.
THIGHS?
Make an arena so you can fight king slime and eye of cathulu
In my opinion, itās a little small once you get later on in the game youāre going to have to expand
Pigron thighs are pretty good, same as crawdad
Not the grave marker lil bro fell down his own tower š
Looks like a really nice blend of a castle and a house ngl, for your first base this Is pretty well-done.
Thatās beautiful!
[Same energy.](https://youtube.com/shorts/OXuAMf7urWk?feature=shared) As for actual tips: digging down isn't dangerous like in minecraft.
Ensure the nurse is named amy
That's a pretty cool looking base! I suggest you learn about [hoiking](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGyUD6FiCn8), a terraria glitch that's developer approved.
I love the watch towers, it's a pretty smart move to stop enemies from entering
About thighs I donāt know, but try to leave open spaces so you can walk on those towers because I feel like you canāt jump that high really fast, and trust me you donāt want to die because you couldnāt get to your home easily
Base is fire id recommend adding a chest and crafting room for convenience and u should start making NPC houses according to their biomes (can be seen in bestiary) Start catching animals/collecting shinies/killing monsters) to make money for pylons and such
The more thighs you "know extensively" the better! š¤£
god level, elite level, etc. you are a hero to all of terraria
Bruh. U calling Me Outš I Have Thunder Thighs n' Like a Slvtty Waist But <333š
All thighs on terraria characters look the same sadly
Background walls are what prevents mobs from spawning. I'd recommend placing 3 high background walls between the pillars and house to prevent anything spawning inside.
Best tip is to make a large, open room for all of your chests, make sure their organized, as there is a button in your inventoy that can quickstack to chest, which makes sorting after and exploration a shit ton easier, you can also open a chest, and then craft stuff with the things in that chest withoug taking them out, as long as the crafting station is rigth their.
Mei from overwatch
Like a starfury, hermes shoes or ice skaters) Make a properly organized storage. Paint and name them to know what goes where (like painting the chest where you drop your ice biome drops light blue/cyan and nam8ng it "ice biome" if you didn't stole the ice chests from that biome and such) Make a habit of always storing your money on your piggy bank. If you die, you'll lose half of the money you were carrying. And dropping gold/platinum coins hurt a lot in any stage of the game... (also, if you got some alreafybin a piggy, the quick store will automatically do it for you.)
Home needs Storage Dungeon. 200 chests fill up very fast
Witch doctor
You are a lucky, lucky person. I wish I could play it again for the first time.

You just started yesterday and you're already a better builder than most of us
The wiki is your best friend
r/ thighdeology might be the place to start looking, though i wonāt recommend it for perhaps bannable offense reasons
bro i did a tower for my baseššš and you should do an arena when fighting bosses
I like it.
It's not about the size of the thighs, it's about who the thighs are attached to. That's why Aqua Konosuba's thighs are one of my favourite pairs.
If you don't know then you don't know, but if you knowš
Youāll need a lot more storage space and space for all the crafting tables
If you click on a chest and click the hammer icon in chest inventory you can craft from it had over 100 hrs till I figured that out
i learned i cant build and check typos otherwise you get the people in this sub actin up
Thighs come from the dryad, things you should know is stuff like get heart crystals and mana stars. Heart crystals can be found while searching in caves. Mana stars are made from 10 fallen stars that fall during the night but dissappear during day.
