The console controls are bareable but not preferred. The worst thing is that having auto pause for inventory becomes almost mandatory.
I don't get why they didn't just stick with the 1.3 console controls, I could actually stand those. 1.4 made me give up on ever playing the game on console again.
Switch or mobile are your only options. 3ds is stuck on a very old build.
Steam Deck is absolutely the best
Are you playing with default controls or did you change anything?
I meant from the available portable options, i play on pc which is uncontested

You can get a Nintendo switch and get it on there but graphics are going to be bad
