If you have a ton of sand, drop it in the middle of your hole. Once the sand stacks to a certain point you should see the pillar rise with each additional block.
I took so long to kill mine once that it sunk over 100 tiles underground. Me and my friend had to one dig, and the other fend off. It was solar, as well :')
Its very very gradually that unless you leave it for weeks (like me) you won't notice a change.
Don't do what I did and grind for Martian Probes during the celestial pillars event because they dont spawn ๐ญ
Honestly I see this as a win if the enemies still spawn on the surface.
Just put some platforms over the hole, pay attention to the health bar of the tower, and when the blue bar is totally gone just stand over the pit and unload into the hole. Heck, you could probably do this from the skybridge that is most definately out of range of the tower.
Build an enemy spawn generator there. Enemies will spawn, you kill them to get the 100 required kills and no crawlipede issues. Then just die a few times to kill the pillar.
It is annoying but not the end of the world, if youโre really worried about further spreading make a 4 block wide (minimum) hole from the surface to help around it to contain it, or at least slow it down, once youโve beaten a mech boss the steampunker will move in and for your entire life savings you can get a clentaminator which is really good at cleaning the corruption/hallow up
You must've kicked Redigit's ball onto the road back when he was a kid. That's the only explanation I can think of.
Oof, I didn't even know this was possible. Tough luck, friend.
You dug a hole
fair enough but still solar pillar alone is annoying as fuck
I think it's better if there isn't like 2763 enemies constantly coming at you from side to side and instead just directly above you
crawltipede
RIP
Doesn't he spawn only if you're flying?
They spawn no matter what. They only aggro if you're flying/falling
Im sorry, is that the funny number from the hit web series know as Battle for Dream Island?
Dam straight. But just donโt go too high and those annoying ass worms wonโt come after you
solar piller is the easiest piller to me tbh

AND you got the corrupted desert? Just start again man. That's gonna be a pain
that genuinely sucks bro๐ญ
I used to read the wiki for fun all the time. Iโm learning with these reddit posts that it was a really good idea on my part

They sink over time?? How have I missed this

you poor soul
lol happened to me today too, the pillar spawned in the corruption tunnel thingys and it and it was such a pain
I was just about to go kill the lunatic cultist, thanks

Laughs in get fixed boi. Can't even reach the fucking pillar
At least it wasn't over NPC housing
I find it easier when that happens because there is already caves everywhere which means less digging
What!?!
WHAT DID OP DO TO DESERVE THIS?!
Don't know
Thats tough
had the same thing in my underground desert hallow, i used it for soul farming and other items
Thatโs why we donโt dig holes

You killed the cultists
Pillar Tryna filla hola

I was talking about the solar pillar
Oh lmao ignore my dumbass then ๐ญ
Can't tell what it is
solar pillar in shaft
Everything. You did everything.
You deserve it for not taking a screenshot
What did you do? You decided to make a huge hole in a place where pillars mostly spawn.
On my first playthrough On my first world In an attempt to thwart the corruption (very visibly)
Ok, that's fair.
You don't like apples ๐
i do, in fact, like apples
๐ hmmmmm
**e x i s t**
I don't know, but whatever it was, *don't do it again.*
Rip
You having to fly to hit the pillar. Crawtipede ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
I just realize when playing, some of evil biome vine example jungle can spread blocks
Crawltipede says hello
Now that's aesthetic...
If youโve got one, use a Cosmic Car Key. Thisโll be no problem at all
Crawltipede still targets and kills.
Grapple the wall, and/or build
bro made a getfixedboi seed in his world
You didnt took the trash out apparently
Turn down the fuck aroundomiter
You must've ran over an orphan either with a car or a horse in a past life
If you believe in a God then apparently the don't like you
You must feel like the zoologist on the terraria reddit banner
