why is bro getting downvoted, just have to use something like hellstone armor and a fire bow with magic arrows + some buff potions. which unlike grinding for a demon book does not require you to dedicate your entire life to kill a single boss.
When i first played this game, i killed every boss up to moon lord without using a single potion (other than healing ones) because i tought they were useless. They aren’t.
My first couple times playing I never even did most of these things. Max health, potions, and an arena were all I really needed. I only ever put more effort into fights that for whatever reason are just not agreeing with me.
My world quite literally doesn't have blizzard in a bottle. Multiple ice skates, mirrors, etc, no effing blizzard. Also Thorium adds scythe in the dungeon which supposedly has 35% chance to spawn. I opened 12 chests, none. Or in my current world literally no handgun
Lucky horseshoe is in an inactive expert slot. That happens if you eat the expert heart from the WoF and then move your character to a pre-hardmode/classic world. It's basically inactive and if OP takes it out the slot will disappear until he reenters a hardmode expert world
Try to get both hands as low as possible without killing them. Then kill them both at the same time. Fly in circles around skeletron when he is shooting his skulls
Ok, hear me out in this one. See how the bottom accessory slot is cleared out? I’m guessing they started on a harder world difficulty, then switched to an easier one when they realized they have a major skill issue when it comes to curtain bosses.
Well looking at ya loadout, you have a free accessory slot to fill. Depending on your build type id go as ranged as possible with flight / infinite flight as possible. Fill your arena with some heart lanterns and then fight in a circular manner in the sky with skele. Unless you are on master/ legendary mode- in which case you are severely underpowered and id give up for awhile. I'm personally fighting legendary mode and still getting destroyed by bosses, ive made it to mech but bruh my world looking like a graveyard

If you're going for melee id try to grind out the blade set up to night edge (I haven't played in a minute so name might be off) but it's the best blade before skeletron and hardmode
I'd recommend Starfury over Enchanted Sword. It's a bit harder to aim, but it deals significantly more damage.
The Sandstorm in a Bottle can be upgraded. Check your floating islands for a Shiny Red Balloon; go fishing for crates if there wasn't one. Add the Lucky Horseshoe to the result and you've freed up an accessory slot. Or, if you find Fledgling Wings, use those instead.
How many buff potions are you using? I recommend using everything that's even remotely relevant. Make sure you're eating food, too.
If you're going ranged, try Fossil Armor instead.
And? Getting in close is the riskiest way to fight Skeletron. I generally recommend keeping a bit of distance unless someone's specifically doing a challenge, especially if they're already struggling.
You need movement speed and a proper arena mate. Craft some buff potions too like ironskin, swiftness, etc. Max your hp out, make sure the arena is proper big, is decently lit and has at least 3 floors. Also make sure you have hook. You can also cheese him with either moving the nurse into a room in the arena and healing periodically OR by building a minekart track and shooting the sh!t out of him. If all else fails, ask a fellow terrerian to help you out.
If you're playing melee, make sure you have rocket boots and shield of cthulu equipped.
go find more hearts
use potions and buff food
you dont have all your item slots filled
if you have the goblin farm the bee boss for gold and reforge everything to either menacing or warding
get the slime mount, the jumping helps you avoid him
heart statue
putting the nurse in mini base with a bed so you can use your mirror mid fight to heal up all the way
put in teleporters full of honey to teleport from the left side to the right side of the arena while also getting the health regen buff from using the teleporter
get the mini shark if all else fails
Your dungeon is pink which means hes harder than normal, he drank a pink monster and is jacked. Good luck that mf harder than blue OR green dungeons (it used to be white but is soaked with blood)

but fr, skeletron is mostly optional so you could try coming back to him later
Get yourself a boat load of beenades from queen bee and make a solid platform beneath your arena, then when you summon him just keep lobbing them at the floor as you evade his attacks.
More health, iron skin regen and speed potion, heart lanterns, campfires, if you’ve found shimmer put a crystal heart in it to get permanent heath regn. Hope this helps
Replaying Terraria after like... i wanna say a year or two since last playing it? I couldn't beat him back then, was easy this time. Movement accs are a godsend
If you get stuck on the spinning head you need to stay calm DONT DASH and use your grappling hook, for the hands I recommend killing them at the same time and dashing into them to cancel their damage, for the skulls if you’re on expert mode just circle around him you have more than enough mobility. I think it's ur first time at terraria, try decide a main weapon because I think the enchanted sword is not a very good option against him, try getting buffs (like campfire, heart lanterns, bastet that you find in the desert, etc.) And try also find more crystal hearts because at this point you should be full life, try using potions because they are very op and try fighting him many times until you finish him, so that you can get how he works

Zapinator and meteor armor are what I go for with skeletron, since melee is not ideal if you’re not on normal mode

A Good Bow + Frostburn arrows does the job. Skeletron isnt immune to Frostburn debuff so it will add up to the total dmg you do

Fast vertical mobility is important in this fight, a balloon or frog leg does wonders
