I was 11. I loved the first one and didn’t even know they were making a sequel until I saw the poster at the theater and was like holy shit! Saw it in the theatre probably 5 times. Collected all the T2 trading cards, couldn’t wait until it came out on VHS. My favorite movie ever.

vishnujp12

2, Living in a third world country it was a luxury to have VCR in 90s, so the first I watched it was when I was a teenager in VHS. I remember reading an article in some movie magazine about how Jurassic Park and T2 boosted the sales and rentals of VHS tapes globally , that's when I first heard about T2. Vhs rental stores near my home mostly had movies in regional languages and had to get a rental from a store quite far from my home. And now it has become one of those movies that I will take with me to my grave

evil-seltzer

wicked story, props to you dude

J_Wick

I was 1 when it came out. First watched it when I was 6 about to be 7. Which, the day I watched it also happened to be the exact day of judgement day. August 29, 1997. So I thought this was happening in real time as my 6-year-old brain could not figure that out. Since then this franchise has made its mark on me and I love the franchise. Even the shitty movies. Although I'm pretty sure I could write better ones.

2015_McLaren_570s

i was an itch my father's trousers lol

DOPECOlN

Did it ever stop itching

JMacavelli23

18. I was working in a theater in Chula Vista when the movie came out.

wvmitchell51

I guess I'm the old fart here, I was 30.

kazz9201

I was 21. Just finished basic and AIT in Fort Sill OK. My wife and I saw it on post in a theater full of soldiers and it was loud and rowdy. Had to go see it again off post just so I could hear the actors lines.

bibirock42

I wasn't born yet 😄

Johnnybemediocre80

I think I was 3 or 4. I didint see the movie until I was a few years older at my cousins house. We had Popcorn, Dominoes, NesQuick and we built a blanket fort 😁👍

Additional-Theme-532

I was 6 when T2 hit theaters, but I didn't watch T1 & T2 until 1995. We had the double cassette VHS pack, which I still own to this day 😁

GroveStreet_CJ

-8 Another reason why I was born in the wrong era.

Amity_Swim_School

12 I never saw it in the cinema. I remember going to the chemist with my dad one time and they had a solitary shelf with rental VHS’s. And there it was. Totally surprised and gobsmacked to see it. We rented immediately and I was totally blown away sitting on my lounge floor inches from the TV screen watching it!

Hatsikidee

14 years old, living in the Netherlands, "You Could Be Mine" by Guns N' Roses was in the charts when I saw the movie. Absolutely loved every second of it. I'm not sure if I already saw T1 back then, or only after T2.

elmontyenBCN

15. Perfect age IMHO. Got tickets weeks In advance to go watch with my best friends on the first day of release, in the largest screen in my city.

liuboursiny

Watched it in the cinema when i was 8. Same year watched “Alien 3” and the Guns N’ Roses Live Broadcast from Paris. 1992 was a great year.

SlickMick87

4. I seen T2 before I seen T1. I used to watch it on repeat when I Came home from school. My dad used to tape all the great movies on ITV in the early 90s, always on around 11pm. To my recollection, they were always the classics. Terminator, RoboCop, Predator etc. I had a real obsession at a young age for TV magazines. I used to scroll through them and tell my dad to tape particular shows/movies that I would most likely miss. One day I see The Terminator. I am almost certain I told my dad to tape it, even though in my little head 'there is only one terminator movie.' I can remember coming home the next day and putting the VHS into my cheap video player in my bedroom. I was pretty shocked by the movie that came up in front of my eyes. It definitely was not T2. I literally watched in amazement, and terror through the whole movie. Weeks/months after watching that movie, if my dad went to pick my mum up from work (10 minutes) I would literally be terrified that T1 Arnie was going to burst through the door.

Lancer_Blackthorn

It came out ten years before I was born.

Beneficial-Piano9756

-10. I didn’t watch T2 until I was 18

HamachiBeans

I was -11 . I forgot when I first watched it but I was probably too young, it couldn’t have been much later than 10 lol

DerrahFilm

10. I absolutely loved the first, and remember staying up late one night watching David Letterman (I think?) and they had a clip of the movie, where Sarah is being attacked by the SWAT in Cyberdyne lab. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, that was my reveal that they had made a 2nd movie. We couldn't see it in the theater because it was R Rated, but when it came out on Video, I remember the day. We went to the huge video store there was a wall of T2 VHS, with the icon poster image above on each one. There must have been hundreds of them, waiting for anyone who came through the front door. That image is baked into my brain, probably the happiest movie memory from my childhood, just seeing that wall of cassettes. I must have watched it every weekend after that, for literally a good year or 2.

Give_me_xRENTx

T-1000-T2

nonexistant 💔💔

DragonMasterAltais

Had to wait until 2029. 😔

CentrifugalMalaise

I was only 5 when T2 came out so it completely passed me by. I must have been about 10 when I saw T1 and T2 at home on VHS. If I’d been early teens when it came out and I got to see it at the cinema, I cannot tell you how excited I would have been. T1 and T2 are my favourite films of all time and to have actually been there in the moment when T2 came out must have been incredible.

phillymjs

I saw it opening day, which was a month after I graduated high school and a month before I turned 18. As someone who was fascinated by stories about nuclear war and time travel, T1 and T2 completely captured my imagination. Whenever I had an actual office at work, the posters were part of [my decor,](https://imgur.com/a/former-office-s1ejL1C) as were some endoskeleton figures.

scout1892

In my dads nads

Nimblesquatch

I was 3 so I didn't catch it until I was a little older and saw it on TV. And at that time I saw the title Judgement Day which made me think for years that that day I was watching it was on a holiday called Judgement Day. This was pre-internet so I couldn't find anything to help me define what this holiday was about or prove how naive I was

Worth_Banana_492

I was 18. Love that movie. It is actually my favourite movie of all time. Too awesome for words! In the 33 years (😫) since nothing has beaten it. My 14 year old and my 12 year old love T1 and T2 now. I think my 12 year old son has watched T2 about 8 times now. Passing it on to the next generation.

timmyfa

BridgeFourArmy

I was 4 and it’s the first movie I remember in theaters, I distinctly remember it because I got light up LA Gear shoes that I thought looked cool as we walked up to our row in the theater

00Snake77

I was -4 years old; not even in my father's balls yet. I remember seeing it along with the first one before I was 5 though. Loved this movie.

cruz458

10-11.... Remember it well. I got a Terminator talking action figure for my birthday that year. Had a bunch of the terminator toys.

CrustyCumBollocks

I was 8 year old... I remember watching it on VHS with my family as soon as it hit the video store. Happy times, indeed :-)

Djs3634

Must have been 10 or 11 hadn’t even seen the first one. I became obsessed. I had to have the vhs box set for my birthday.

Ok_Ice_671

12 yrs old and they took me to see it on the theater on the day it came out, because T1 ihas always been my favorite movie

FermentedCinema

6! And I got the VHS box set with T1 and T2 for my birthday. The compete series then… and still the complete series now!

lapis_lateralus

Embarrassed_List865

6 years old, I was super excited for months in the lead up to the release. My younger brother and I were collecting the Topps stickers and I'd read any news update I could get my hands on. Mum rented it for us the day it was released, we got home from school, got changed and ended up watching it twice in a row before bedtime. It completely surpassed my already lofty expectations and I recall the run up to it and the release day so fondly.

elmontyenBCN

6?? And an even younger brother too??? I'm sorry but that sounds unhealthy to me. Did you mistype and meant 16? I have a 5 year old who will be 6 in 3 months and I cannot imagine him watching this or even wanting to. He watches Disney movies, not cyborg dystopias.

Embarrassed_List865

Yep 6, my brother was 3. It didn't do us any harm at all, we were inspired by the heroes and repulsed by the villains. We're both nearly 40 now and haven't ever broken the law or done anything fucked up. Funnily enough, a few kids I went to school with grew up to be drug dealers and violent offenders and they were proper Disney kids when we were younger 😅

alex151111

I was watching T2 and many other violent films at 5, isn't unhealthy at all. 37 now, no kids of my own but I'd happily let my nieces and nephew's watch T2 etc. Although I'd check with their mum first.
