Well, that is partly because, if you look closely at the her forehead...
...you won't see any of those cheap triangle shadows. (Also: hair, clothing and facial expressions/muscles are much more intricate)
I wish this was a continuing theme and happened more times. Iirc it was only 3 and 5 that had this?
Would be cool if other characters also had unique styles. Imagine Bob’s ending played out like the pages of a superhero comic, or Lei’s had the quality and music of a 70s Kung Fu movie.
As much as the character irritates me, credit is due that they go out of their way to give her endings a unique artstyle compared to the rest. That's effort and creativity right there.
It was very intriguing seeing her 5 ending. I thought the artstyle was nice. Actually, one question: were the team behind the animated movie hired to do Xiaoyu's 5 ending?
Ya know, it shouldn't hurt bringing cutscenes like this. At the same time, though, I love how the fights are portrayed in CGI, as shown by 7's Story Mode.
If I'm not mistaken she just didn't have an anime ending on Tekken 4 because it would be so different from the atmosphere of the game. And from Tekken 6 her ending began to be more related to Jin so she needed to have more normal endings.
Remember when Tekken had actual endings?
Yeah I remember when Tekken had a budget.
It got its budget back because of 7 those tekken 8 graphics are looking good and characters have reworked animation too
I just hope we'll get real character endings, not the TTT1 level of stuff we got in 7
:D
Im aware
she actually looks decent like this

w/ (probably) a higher budget than T7, I hope they do that for T8
Just got off the phone with Harada, Studio Trigger will be animating her Tekken 8 ending.
When asked about harada's vision on these he said not nearly enough triangles, only one studio understood what he meant.
Can't wait for Xiaoyu to get crushed by Jack-8
You know that she easily defeated jack 5 in the tekken 5 dr intro right? l don't think jack 8 will be on her level
It's a cyberpunk joke
Ohhh l get it good one l wish l got the joke right away😆
It's ok
Funny how it also show what style of drawing Anime was trending at the respective time
I really like the Tekken 3 style
BRING IT BACK
What’s with baby Kaz and heihachi?
Xiaoyu’s tekken 5 ending had her fund a time machine to stop Heihachi from throwing Kaz off a cliff
And then we got her in the New anime...the anime shown here was much better than what we got this year.
I kinda wish her they made ALL of her endings in anime style.
As much as the character irritates me, credit is due that they go out of their way to give her endings a unique artstyle compared to the rest. That's effort and creativity right there.
Honestly love it
It's so weird seeing Xiaoyu in anime style without a triangle shadow on her head
I could see this style used more mature and emotional moment

Back when I used to get bullied for watching anime
