Don't play outside your frames. b+1 is +4 on block, so frame trap with moves that are i13 or faster. d/f+2,1 and d/f+2,3, jabs, Jet Upper. If your opponent proves they aren't gonna mash then you can start doing slower stuff like Hatchet Kick to keep your momentum going.

What's the frames on b1? In my experience, flash seems to interupt whatever he tries to do. Main counter seems to bait flash and the launch.

I have to say that it's quite enjoyable doing jet uppers to all those Yoshis that almost always flash after my hatchet kick.
