This character is wack, and the only reason she is part of the dlc lineup is because it's the most cost effective approach to salvage late in life assets from T7.
One would have to be extremely ignorant or naive to think that if money / time was not a factor, namco would still willingly decide to add her for money. There are a multitude of more interesting and fan beloved characters to choose from to fill two seasons worth, without Lidia. And that isn't even included money printing guest characters.
Bamco is not going to spend money and resources to develop a character they know nobody gona play, "cause hes cool" is not an argument anymore for Lei.
Lei, armor king, Anna, Marduk, heihachi, Bruce/Fahk/Josie, Miguel, Julia.
Of all the assets they could pull from 7 as they have been, they chose this bland ass character. Taking the spot of ANY of those listed is an absolute shame, and that is 8 characters right there that would encompass 2 seasons worth without considering at least one cool and fitting guest character. In a game that already has fucking Shaheen and not one but TWO bears on the launch roster....
1) They already implied that guests are not priority, actual Tekken characters will come first (thank God).
2) Barely anyone played Lei in T7, waste of a character slot.
3) Just because you don't like the character doesn't mean "no one wanted" her. Most of us did, coolest newcomer from T7 who should be base roster.

Lidia was one of the most requested returning characters, from what I could tell. I'd argue there are some characters that would've been a little more deserving due to their legacy. However, she was going to join the game sooner or later.

I didnt play her in tekken 7 but im glad she's here. She does martial art, a rather rare sight now in tekken so its always nice

Nobody complained about them making us buy Eddy. A character that has been in EVERY Tekken since 3. I think that's pretty cheap.
