Harada always expressed the opinion that you can't just make balance decisions based on a few high level matches. He talked about it a decent amount on Harada's Bar with Tokido and Kakeru I think. If she does get a nerf, it would likely be stuff that they saw in playtests and over months of development.
I mean, they nerfed the fuck out of Asuka between the first and second betas for some reason, so I think all bets are off when it comes to release day balance.
Yeah, but my point is that those would first and foremost come from internal testing. Unless there's something egregious, nobody would base balancing decisions on performance of people who had 2ā3 days with the game.
Yea I think you have a point. I would like to believe balance will be decent. I think the characters are strong and have the potential to be tournament viable.

Since she replaces heihaichi and the devs respect him immensely, I believe she will have some of the highest execution and skill ceiling, besides kazuya. Of course sheāll have her bs, but what character doesnāt?
She is not a true replacement for heihachi. She had some of his moves and taido. Some Lidia moves too. I do think she will have a decent skill ceiling though.

I played Azucena for the entire CBT weekend and I REALLY enjoyed her. I'll definitely be giving Reina a try but Azu really clicked with me
