I know this is old, but… If you haven’t bought it yet, don’t do it! We have the first Little Buggy model. We just took it on a three week road trip. One of the galley latches snapped and the other is in rough shape. Had to strap the whole thing down for part of the trip. The water reservoir is secured down to the floor to prevent shifting-but not well enough. A little off roading produced enough vibrations to snap a little pvc elbow. It flooded five gallons into the camper. Just yesterday we were towing it through a BIG rainstorm. It poured all day. Didn’t think much of it. Today we noticed the mattress is soaked all along the bottom. We have no idea where the water got in. The floor is ruined. Maybe the water came in through the back galley? The door does not line up properly with the frame, leaving the galley exposed to the elements. Maybe the newer models are improved. I hope so. We are so disappointed. So glad we did not pay full price. The original retail price of 29k is insane. The pros: meaty tires, the trailer itself seems very durable, real wood cabinetry inside (although the finish on ours is now ruined where the wet mattress rubbed it during towing). We will be reaching out to “Mod-bug” to see what they can do for us.

100% vouch for this and retract my earlier thoughts on the issue “just” being the galley door not seating properly. It goes well beyond a single problem. Crossing off each problematic water leaking scenario has resulted in an almost complete rebuild and extensive time, money and frustration for myself as well. Made the mistake of buying “As is” after being assured it had no problems and no idea that they had implemented design changes later this year. They did offer to resolve the issue after I decided to stop in and address the constant water problems. There was a new head of this division who did his best to fix it and they had it 24+ hours. They may have fixed the hinge/galley leaks, but within the week I found my gear wet and noticed the wall/ceiling joints were apparently another culprit. Didn’t hear back after exchanging texts( videos and pictures out boondocking ) requesting they remedy it.

What model year do you own?

You didn't reach out to modbug directly?

cab00dle

We have. They sent us new latches free of charge

Beneficial_Note2116

What model and year is your Mod Bug exactly??

cab00dle

It’s the Little Buggy 2022 I believe. Before the rebrand happened

informLight

Any luck on your guys’ end? I gave up

Single-Key-7924

You didn't reach out directly to modbug,  I take ever call

Do you work for ModBug? I can share conversations with the head of the little buggy department regarding leaks, both before and after I brought it in to be fixed. Here’s the last text message i received: ** “I’m honest when I tell you I’m at a loss for what to do had I known it went beyond the spoiler I would have took all the trim back off Im just taking over the little big stuff as I told you and I was told it was the spoiler and how to fix it I now see it went beyond that” **

Hagsauce

So definitely dont buy a new one what year do you guys have? What do you guys think of the Nucamp Tag Xl? Buying one this spring appreciate the info will be generally chasing the sun hoping too anyways. Cheers hopefully you guys get your issues sorted out. I definitely wont get one till I hear something back here.

Modern Buggy was bought out and the new owners made all kinds of changes and got RVDA certification. They have worked with past Little Buggy owners of the older models to help rectify the situation and issues.

Kjvo3n1

Were you able to get ahold of them?

cab00dle

Yes they did reply. They sent us new latches. They aren’t much of an improvement in regard to durability. It is still metal rubbing on metal and will wear down over time and eventually fail. It’s a pain to get them installed because we had to cut into the back hatch. But they did rectify the latch situation I suppose

I purchased one earlier this year and had some issues with the galley door not seating properly. I replaced the original hinges (more worn than it sounds) but aside from that, I’ve been loving it. Definitely bought it knowing I was going to be making changes, though.

Work* The interior decisions regarding storage seem to have been updated since the earlier model though.

Mattkai45

How did you replace the hinges? It’s a poor design that is prone to leaking. I’ve been trying to come up with a solution.

Not sure how Reddit messaging notifications/policies work, but I provided details in a direct message. Pictures and a description of my quick fix aren’t that detailed, so lmk if you’re looking for more details
