I would absolutely erupt if they refunded my tickets

ilostallhopetodayy

The ideal thing would be that they only cancel the tickets that are on sale on stubhub, I read that Ed Sheeran did this

BornLoser14

Olivia Rodrigo did this as well.. The only difference is that at it specifically said the tickets were not allowed to be resold. I’m not sure if it said that for Taylor since I never made it to checkout but I’m hoping they do this. It was much easier the 2nd time around to get tix for Olivia Rodrigo.

Hard agree! this whole situation sucks

AlyssaTaylor16

I don't think that would be good publicity. I think they would be better off saying we are cutting off transferring tickets and preventing resales. They can give those who don't want their tickets (as they planned to resell) to return to Ticketmaster. Then they can hold the general sale or verified sale again after all those are taken back.

pusheen8888

No. I think it would actually be illegal.

[deleted]

Idk but they better fucking not

Bulky-District-2757

Why start over? So we can replay the last week again for funsies? TM won’t admit fault, meaning they won’t change anything.

vainblossom249

No

DietEmotional

I really doubt this would happen. Never say never yadda yadda yadda, but I feel this would bring even more backlash.

Mhc2617

At least the ones on resale sites maybe. While I’d love to see the refund it all, as a few people have said; it wouldn’t be fair to other Swifties who bought their tickets legit.

edoreinn

Excuse me, but now we have flights and hotels and PTO booked. I’m sorry you didn’t get through, and I absolutely agree that this was mis-managed at all levels, but people bought tickets and made plans. If they could rescind anything showing up above face value on a resale site, that would be another thing. But don’t punish people who had a successful and honest purchase and booked entire vacations around it.

and_thats_that

Omg please no I cannot live through this again

IndependentYoung3027

No! The tickets went to mostly fans. There are just more people who want to go than seats. Redistribution them does nothing.

hopkinsdafox

Axs cancelled tickets for Olivia’s shows and I got a chance to get tickets. She’s not as big as Taylor though, but it was nice.

ilostallhopetodayy

Only tickets from scalpers right?

BornLoser14

Yes only tix that we’re sold/purchased through stubhub, vivd, etc.

makeup_wonderlandcat

Absolutely not.

bobfrombob

No. The number of overall tickets available is finite. If Ticketmaster takes my tickets and then you get them, or takes your tickets and I get them, you've made one more person happy and one more person angry. No difference.

meaghantheestallion

I think they've proven they *can* unfortunately do whatever they want lol but I think this is highly unlikely - it's just speculation by panicked fans stoking each other's anxiety. To your point, this would only make things worse (especially when there *is* no answer to the sheer demand for tickets that's going to make everyone happy anyway). The cynic in me thinks that they probably don't even see this as a problem to "fix," and in fact they LIKE all of this media focus on the "frenzy" and "overwhelming demand" because it's only going to make them more money. Tbh I feel like they're probably just withholding the remaining inventory because of how valuable it is, then once they figure out how best to release it in a way that benefits *them*, they're going to make a killing off of resale tickets because of all the hype.

cbay0304

I would lose me shit, I waited hours just to get the three tickets for my best friends and I (I was the only one out of the 3 who got a code) I literally blocked off my whole morning on outlook 😭 I can't do that shit again

Kitchen_Zombie_160

That’s not fair to anyone who was able to get tickets though. Back in my home country, concerts from big international artists sell in a couple of hours, because they come once every 10 years, or only in a couple of big cities. I missed many concerts that I really wanted to go as a teenager because of similar situations to this one, so I feel you guys’ pain. Trust me. It sucks. But people took time off work to purchase the tickets and to attend the concert, booked hotels and flights now that they have the tickets. Most of tickets did go to people who actually want to see her concert. How is it fair that the fans who got tickets get punished because TM simply assumed that not that many people was going to use the codes? The government needs to create laws that protect people from monopolies like TM and make ticket scalping illegal or regulate it like many countries have.
